Lucian Grey was born in the bustling city of York, England, on a cool October day in 1685. To George and Moira Grey. His father; being a wealthy merchant, and her mother; a respectable woman in society. His parents were ecstatic, when Lucian was born. He was the first child they had been able to conceive after there first son Christopher was born; who at the time was seven years old. Lucian and his brother were raised in a wealthy upper class neighborhood, and never really knew what it was like to not get everything they wanted. He soon grew to understand their status in society at a very young age but he never really used them to boss people around. But Lucian's life wasn't as perfect as everyone thought it was, he would have gladly traded the money for his parents to be around more often. The fact that Lucian's parents were both very busy; his mother with her social engagements and his father with his job, Lucian and his brother were often left alone, with what ever nanny his parents had employed at the time. So, at around age five, Lucian began to play his father’s grand piano. By age 11, he was playing for audiences in cities such as London and Paris. He was a tad reserved in speaking though. For the first years of his life he wouldn't say anything but instead, let his older brother do most of his talking for him. Despite being spoiled by his parents, he was still down to earth towards people no matter what status they possessed.
Like his brother Lucian grew up to be a very bright and a clever young man and his looks were an added factor to that. He was educated in a good quality institution, with the right manners and virtues. On his 17th birthday Lucian told his father that he wanted to join the marines. His father was not pleased about this, Lucian's older brother Christopher had died while serving in the marines, he was shot by another solider. And his father did not want that happening to his only son. His father also had always wanted one of his son to fallow the path of there grandfather and go into medicine. But Lucian wanted otherwise, he'd always wanted to explore the globe and discover new worlds he'd heard about his in his entire life, to discover life's biggest secrets and to unravel its mysteries. His fathers wishes for his sons, and Lucian's own dreams escalated into a rather nasty fight between the two. Resulting in Lucian's father disowning him and Lucian running away from home.
Lucian soon found himself in London, looking for work, it was purely by chance that while he was looking for a job that he stopped a man from mugging another man. Admiral George Churchill, then first of the council to the lord high admiral, was amazed at the young mans bravery in the face of danger. And to reward his young hero, Churchill eventually appointed him to the Royal Anne at Portsmouth, and got him a lieutenancy in one of the new marine regiments. Lucian was midshipman of the HMS St George in 1704, and served under George Rooke. Lucian could not have been happier. Before shipping out, Lucian wrote to his mother and father telling him that he was fine and healthy, and that he had earned a commission in the marines and he would keep in touch as much as possible. Not knowing that his argument with his father would be the last time he'd ever again see his parents.
Lucian's life in the marines passed in a world wind of; battles, women, blood, and loss. It was under the command of George Rooke, that Lucian was there at the capture of Gibraltar. where he was employed on shore as aide-de-camp to the Prince of Hesse-Darmstadt. He also under the command of Rooke was present at the great sea-fight off Malaga which followed. Lucian soon became the second lieutenant of the Triton frigate, one of the most active cruisers in the navy, which captured twenty-three French privateers in the Channel alone in fifteen months. He was in her at the siege of Ostend in 1706, where he served on shore, it was during this bloody battle that Lucian's life would soon change drastically. Lucian had been injured during one of the confrontations, and he'd been left for dead. The last thing Lucian remembers seeing was a beautiful women standing over him before darkness claimed him.
A sharp stabbing pain covered all his body, a burning sensation that flowed through all of his dying veins. He thought he was in hell and he was now paying the entire thing he had done, but what did he do wrong? He just wanted to be free, that wasn’t even a sin. After that endless pain he felt all over his body, it suddenly subsided out of unexplained reasons. He woke up and unexpectedly felt stronger. But while he felt all of this inside him, an unfathomable thirst also flared in his throat, a thirst he didn't understand. Lucian soon found him self in a neighboring town, killing whatever human crossed his path. As he stared at the face of the lifeless female in his arms, disgust washed over him, he ran as fast as he could away from the village and hid in a cave for three days, suffering as he tried to fight his hunger. Finally after the fourth day Lucian went back out and hunted, until his thirst was sated. Lucian was still disgusted with what he had become. But as time wore on, he soon found that there were nice perks to his new life. Strength, speed, the ability to live through most things, and the women. The women could not get enough of him, they flocked to him like bees to honey. And he couldn't fault them for wanting him. His appearance had significantly changed, and he now had features that made him a walking billboard for sex. His good looks made life easier for him, he was able to feed and enjoy the pleasures woman offered him. He never returned to England, the small island holding to many painful memories. But he did send his parents a letter and a personal belonging letting them know that he was alright.
Lucian soon found himself in in America, were he spent the next centuries between studying at home, during the day and hunting and womanizing at night. He poured over his books, learning may different fields, and several different languages, and advancing his talents at the piano. He watched the humans evolve from afar, sometimes envious of them. Envious that they were able to go out in the sunlight, envious that the could live a normal live. One thing Lucian was not envious of was the wars that broke out around him, each time Lucian one came to close to his home, and he risked being drafted. Lucian would pack his things and he would move to a neutral country. As transportation methods improved, Lucian became an avid world-traveler. His avid passion took him to many places Russia, Spain, Italy, Nepal, Sweden, China, and Japan. After many years of the endless traveling, countless women, and loneliness he finally returned to England.
