Kim smiled, understanding how Isabelle could describe feeling relieved as she learned the truth. That had also been one of the emotions Kim had felt. Relief and joy in knowing that this wasn't just a short lived romance. This was forever, which was exactly what Kim had wanted, from even before Jared had changed. Knowing that he felt that way too and as he promised her, always would feel that way, had been a relief.
Both Kim and Issy entered the home and thanked the hostess. Kim tried to stay out of the way having seen that there were a few others gathering behind them (including the little girl Kim recognized as Claire). Kim looked around and saw that Gabby was already inside, giving her a smile and a wave but not wanting to rush over in case Issy still wanted to talk to her. Whichever of the girls wanted to approach (or neither) she'd be fine with.

Hayley had been hanging around near the back of the group, letting the younger girls go in first, still feeling a bit out of place in all of this. So far the girls looked to all be from the reservation, which made her really feel a bit out of place, in addition to being older than most of them. Though usually confident in most situations she knew she was really out of her element here. But she wanted to immerse herself more fully in Graham's life. This was a part of that and she hoped these women would accept her.
She heard the sound of a car coming from behind her and turned to see who it was. She recognized the driver as the police Chief in Forks. She gave a light smile in that direction, at least glad to see someone else was coming in from town. As she saw the small girl get out of the car she was a bit surprised, having not expected that but remembering Graham mentioning briefly about their being a few unusual cases of imprinting. She knew this was one of those cases and quickly connected the pieces about which imprintee this girl was.
She smiled warmly at the young girl as she came up to the group. "Hi, I'm Hayley" She introduced herself. She knew the girl had an unusual name, but knew she'd mess up the pronunciation if she tried to guess it now without hearing it first.

"You're welcome! Thank you for coming!" Baya responded to the group of girls with a smile as they entered her house. She felt relief come over her as she saw that the other girls who had been imprinted on had actually shown up. She had been so worried that this whole thing would be a disaster and that no one besides Dawn (who she'd physically brought here) would end up coming to her party. It would have been humiliating. But each girl she saw come made her that much happier. They were all bonded by their experience, something no one outside of their group had gone through. It made them unique.
"Please everyone make yourself at home, there's food and drinks on the table, plenty of seats...if you have jackets or anything you brought for the night, you can drop it anywhere there's room, or down the hall in my room if you'd rather keep it out of your way for now" Baya offered knowing her invitation had offered the option for the girls to stay the night like a slumber party if it went well and any of them wanted to. "Anyone who hasn't met me I'm Baya" She introduced herself with a smile hoping that she was making everyone feel welcome.

As Renesmee walked towards the house she noticed a girl hanging towards the back of the group. She didn’t look like she was from La Push and Renesmee breathed a small sigh of relief; at least one of the girls wouldn’t have grown up hearing all of the legends about the cold ones. Though she looked a bit older than even Nessie’s parents, age had very little meaning in Renesmee’s world. Nessie herself was technically the youngest of the imprintees, but she was biologically older than Claire.
Nessie put on her bravest smile and walked up to the girl who had turned around to watch her approach. After she introduced herself as Hayley, Renesmee extended her hand. “It’s very nice to meet you. I’m Renesmee, but most people call me Nessie.”

Hayley found it a little strange that of all the girls hear, she seemed the most comfortable talking to the one she knew to be the half-vampire child. She was sure no one else would be her own age, and so far the girls all appeared to be from the reservation, so they probably had a better chance of knowing each other or having things in common. Part of Hayley wondered if she would be seen as an outsider because of her heritage, maybe they would think that only Quileute women should be imprinted on and that it wasn't right that she 'took' one of their men. This little girl was a reminder that at least she wasn't the only one from Forks and with a different background.
Hayley put out her hand and shook Renesmee's as she extended it. "It's nice to meet you too Nessie" She said noticing the cooler feel to Nessie's skin when she was used to Graham's warmth. "So umm...do you live in Forks, like your Grandpa?" She asked.

Renesmee felt herself relax a little as Haley took her hand and shook it without pulling away from the coolness. It was also a relief that she seemed to want to continue the conversation and wasn't just saying hello to be polite.
"I live just outside of Forks, we have a cottage near my Grandpa Carlisle's house."
Nessie felt herself get nervous again when she mentioned her other Grandpa. If Haley hadn't known about her dual nature before, she would definitely know now. No one who knew anything about the Quileute legends was oblivious to who the Cullens were, and it was Carlisle himself who had made the treaty with Jacobs ancestors years ago.
Renesmee took a moment before she returned the question. The woman didn't look like she was from La Push, but Nessie was worried she might offend her if she made an incorrect assumption.
"Do you live in La Push?" She decided it was logical possibility that even if Haley wasn't from here, she might have moved to be near her own special wolf friend.

"Oh that's right, I had heard Dr. Cullen lived right outside of town" Hayley said feeling a bit foolish for not having realized being what they were they'd probably stay slightly away from town and it would be easier to keep the half-vampire child out of the crowded town (as crowded as a small town like Forks got anyway) on a day to day basis. She realized her nerves were still getting to her more than she was used to dealing with. It was bad when a child could get her nervous, but then again she supposed this was a unique situation as the girl was probably stronger than her.
Hayley shook her head with another light smile as the girl asked her about living on the reservation herself. "No, I live in Forks and teach at the high school there. But I visit a lot, and maybe one day I'll end up moving here" She told her. Her and Graham hadn't really discussed where they'd want to eventually live, but knowing his responsibilities here, Hayley thought the chances were good that she'd come to live with him. It wouldn't be that far of a ride for her to get to work and she wanted to try to be supportive of everything he was doing.

“Oh, cool. My mommy and daddy went to Forks High.” Renesmee bit her lower lip as she realized that she really didn’t want that particular conversation topic to go any further; her parents had only left the school a couple of years ago so it was far from normal for them to have a daughter who looked as old as Renesmee. Although she was almost positive Hayley knew what she was, she still wasn’t looking forward to voicing any of her peculiarities.
Nessie felt herself get a little nervous again as the standard getting-to-know you questions ran out. She looked to the doorway where the other imprintees were filing inside. It was an intimidating group, but Nessie felt a little more comfortable now that she had met Hayley. She felt as though she had somewhat of an ally having found another girl from outside La Push, who seemed to accept her as she was.
She turned back toward Hayley and motioned towards the door. “It looks like everyone’s heading inside. I guess we should join them.”

Hayley nodded as the little girl told her that her parents went to Forks high. It was such a strange situation to think of. The teenagers who had attended school not that long ago already had a child that was grown this much. It seemed crazy really, but Hayley's entire world had been expanded drastically when she met Graham. As crazy as it was, she didnt regret any of it. She could tell from the girl's expression that she didnt seem to want to dwell on the topic of her parents going to Forks high, or maybe she preferred not to talk about her parents and family entirely. Either way Hayley didnt want to push and make her uncomfortable.
Hayley looked towards the door as the other girls seemed to make their way in and moved away from the doorway on the inside. She wondered again how many of them already knew each other and were close friends. She imagined them already close, with her and this little girl probably the only odd ones out. She nodded as Nessie suggested going inside. "Yeah, we probably should" She said with a nod, letting the child go in ahead of her.

Rachel's car rambled along the road until it reached Baya's home. As it idled for a moment before she turned off the ignition it sounded as if the car was giving a good death rattle as the exhaust pipe coughed and shook and the engine groaned. She'd definitely have to have Jake or Paul look at it pronto.
Before sliding out of the car, she threw her purse over her shoulder and grabbed a tray of cupcakes from the passenger's seat. Bumping her door shut with her hip she casually sauntered up to the front door and walked right in as she balanced the cupcake tray in one hand to pull the door open.
"Baya, sorry if I'm late. My car stalled a few times on the way here," she called out as she took note of a bunch of faces she had seen many a time throughout her life on the La Push reservation or as recently as the last two years. She wasn't close with them all or hung out with them, but she knew most of them; or at least their faces. She wasn't sure on every name and who was imprinted upon by whom.
Spotting Baya, she smiled and brought the cupcakes to her. "I didn't know if I should bring anything or not but I thought these would get a laugh," she chatted with a shimmer of amusement in her voice, gesturing the the cupcakes with white frosting and black paw prints decorated on them with some sort of black gel. "Cheesy, right? But that's was makes it fun."

Renesmee smiled with relief that Hayley hadn’t asked any questions about when her parents attended Forks High. As Hayley motioned for her to go inside first, Nessie took a deep breath; exhaling slowly as she walked through the door.
She looked around the room shyly and noticed that a lot of the girls seemed to know each other already. It seemed that most of them were from La Push. Nessie felt her palms begin to sweat and she started to worry that no one would really want her there. Even though she had been invited; maybe it had just been out of courtesy, or perhaps Jake had had something to do with it.
She was grateful that at least Hayley seemed to accept her, but she had a queasy feeling in her stomach as she stood near the doorway awkwardly; looking around at the mostly unfamiliar faces. She did see that Jake’s sister had just arrived, and though she still wasn’t really sure what Rachel thought of her, she hoped that she would at least be friendly towards Nessie for her brother’s sake.

Baya was fille with a nervous excitement as she watched the girls coming into the house. They had actually showed up. More than just a couple, there now seemed to be an actual group of them. People had liked her idea (or at least were too nervous in their own minds to say no to such an offer). Baya hoped that once everyone was together that the bond that they all shared would show through and they'd really end up becoming close. There was no reason they shouldnt be, afterall, with the guys all like brothers to each other, that made the girls practically family to one another.
Baya looked over at Dawn, making sure that she was still doing okay, even with the chaos that was slowly forming in the house, but she was still smiling content. Baya then turned her head with a smile as she heard the familiar voice of her friend Rachel. She and Rachel had known each other before they ever were imprinted on and remained friends. "Dont worry about being a little late, people are still arriving so its just fine" She reassured her friend.
Baya looked down at the cupcakes that Rachel had brought and saw the paw prints that were decorated on the top before she started laughing. "Oh my god, that's perfect! I'm sure everyone will love them, hope you saved a couple for Paul at home...why dont you just put those over on the snack table" She said pointing to where she had some bottles of pop and some pretzels, chips, dip and popcorn.
Baya heard a few more people coming in through the door which she had left open and looked over. It wasn't hard to figure out that the little girl must be Renesmee, the half vampire child, though she wasn't exactly sure who the woman behind her was. Baya had been a little worried about inviting her, not sure how the other girls would react or even how comfortable the child would be, but Baya figured she had as much of a right as any of them to be there. She didnt want to exclude her and hoped she could get to know the girl better, even if she did have a brief flash of fear that she shouldnt be having vampires in her home, even if they were only half ones.
Baya smiled as she took a step towards Renesmee as she walked in. "Hi! I'm guessing you're Nessie?" Baya said in a friendly manner. "I'm Baya, I'm glad you could come today" She told her youngest guest, wondering if Claire would be able to make it as well.

Renesmee gave Baya a surprised smile as the older girl used her nickname. She supposed it wasn’t really that strange, considering it was Jacob who had given her the nickname in the first place so it was probably how most of the wolf pack usually referred to her, but still it pleased Nessie that Baya felt comfortable enough to use it.
Her surprise turned into a genuine grin, and in an effort to be appropriately polite to her hostess she found herself bending her knees in a small curtsey. Blushing as she realized how silly she must look, she straightened herself quickly. “Thank you very much for inviting me.” She suddenly dropped her smile and looked at Baya earnestly, hoping she would understand how grateful to be included Renesmee really was. “Really, thank you.”
Nessie smiled again and looked around her. “You have a lovely house.” She lowered her head shyly. “I don’t get to do a lot of visiting, mostly just with Grandpa Charlie or Jake. But they’re just family. This is kind of like my first real visit. And definitely my first real party.” Renesmee bit her lip, hoping she wasn’t rambling too much.

Rachel went and set her cupcakes on the table and snatched two of them up; one for herself. She sidled up beside Baya and Renesmee, smiling briefly down at the younger girl and handing the second of the two cupcakes in her hand over. "Want a pupcake?" she offered with a small chuckle. She peeled the wrapper off her own cupcake and took a bite. "Oh I am a good cupcake maker. I think I missed my calling."
She stepped aside for a brief moment only to throw out the wrapper and then returned to the other two. "So, Renesmee, right? I guess we're gonna be sisters-in-law in the future so I'm told. What's it like to, uh...you know...be growing up so fast?"
