(...Set the morning after "There's truth in some movies"...)
The night before had been one of serious revelation for Lyndal and a night of truth telling from Nash, she’d heard things she’d never thought were possible. Listening to Nash reveal the truth about himself and a lot of friends on the Rez she’d been shocked, but tried to be as open minded and understanding as she could. When they’d finished talking she’d fallen asleep, but her dreams were full of wolves and Nash in pain changing into one.
The morning seemed different, waking up at the crack of dawn light Dal had carefully got out of bed to make coffee and mull over the nights events. Her mind was spinning with everything from wolves and vampires to Nash not aging. Sitting quietly at the table Lyndal was glad she and Nash were the only ones home; she didn’t want to be interrupted as she let everything he’d said finally and completely settle in. It was scary there was no denying that. With Vampires in the area, been in love with a wolf and knowing the wolf could possibly hurt her Lyndal was scared, but she was more afraid of a life without Nash one where she chose to walk away and leave the craziness behind. Even as she sat and thought about it she knew there was no chance of that ever happening, she could and would never leave Nash.
His words the night before had left little to the imagination, he’d been open and patient as he explained everything about his role as protector of the rez. There was only one thing that had left her mind spinning and wondering, that had plagued her dreams (or rather nightmares) – The change. The idea had filled Lyndal’s dreams with images of Nash in horrible pain even after he’d insisted it didn’t hurt. Beyond the images of pain she saw the wolf he’d describe, huge and majestic. She wanted to see him, to see the other him.
Standing from the table Lyndal place her, now empty, cup into the sink as she made her way back to her bedroom. Nash was still sleeping as he’d been when she’d left a little time before. Even seeing him now after no time apart and he still sleeping Dal felt her heart rate quicken and the love she felt for him wash over her, it was a calming effect. Crossing to the bed she sat down gently her hand reaching out to him, “Nash.” She said leaning over him closer to his ear wanting to wake him gently. “I want to see you.” She whispered into his ear letting her hair fall onto his cheek as she spoke.

It had taken Nash a long time to fall asleep that night. After they were done talking and retired for the night, Nash's mind was still racing, wondering what she was thinking, and how she was handling all the information he had told her, now that she was having some quiet time to think on it and let the information settle in. Would it all end up being too much for her? What if should couldnt handle it afterall, if it all just seemed too weird and she wanted to walk away. There was a good chance that after tonight, she'd start pulling away. Maybe tell him she just wanted to be friends until she left, or even worse, she could want to go live with her brother instead.
After he had finally fallen asleep, the dreams that came were not peaceful ones. In his dream he awoke feeling as though it was the next morning, after their talk. The dream felt like reality. When he turned over in bed, she wasn't there. When he got up, he walked the house, searching for her, calling out her name. The more he looked the more nervous he got. In the dream he could remember opening ever door frantically hoping to find her. He opened up the front door to his parents house and could see a car driving away down the road, but couldnt see who was in it, but could feel his heart being ripped out as it left his eyesight. Going back into the house he saw a note lying on the table with two words written in her handwriting. I can't.
As if comforting him at the exact point when in his dream he needed it the most, he could start to faintly hear Lyndal's voice as she called his name, gently waking him up and giving him the reassurance before his eyes were even open that despite how real it felt, she was still there with him now when he woke up. He smiled softly as he woke up, drowsily hearing her speak of wanting to see him, but not awake enough to get the meaning behind it just yet. "I'm right here"

Leaving Nash alone in the bed that morning had been very hard for Lyndal. With as little time as they got together, alone, Dal knew she should have relished the time and stayed cuddled up next to his amazingly warm body. She’d left though, it was hard to think been so close to him. Once her head was in order it was easy to know what lay ahead. Lyndal knew deep down, all along, that she couldn’t ever leave Nash.
Returning to her room she was surprised to find him still asleep, knowing sleep had been elusive for her since dawn. Looking at him he seemed to have little problem staying asleep and she wondered if he was at all worried about her reaction to their previous night’s revelations. Heading into the room Dal was tempted to get back into bed and be enveloped in his arms, she knew sleep would come easy with how tired she felt. Sleep was the last thing on her mind, but it was tempting.
Since hearing what Nash could do she’d been curious, now she had to see. When he replied to her request Dal smiled. His voice was full of sleep which only made her love him more. “No, I want to see the other you.” She said with a smile in her voice though her voice was still low as she whispered into his ear. “Are you awake?” She asked wanting him fully awake when she asked again.

Waking that morning in any other way than with the reassurance of Lyndal's presence at his side would have jolted him awake with a fright. But knowing that his dream was just that, and that she was still there, without him having to search for her, calmed him. She hadn't left when she first woke up. She had stayed through the night with him, even when she had a chance to sneak out first while he was still sleeping.
He smiled turning his head in her direction as she spoke, his eyes slowly opening up to take in her beauty as the first sight he'd see in the new day. It was the way he wanted to wake up from now on and hoped that it would still be a possibility with all that she now knew.
He nodded as she asked if he was awake. "Yeah, I'm awake" He said more fully, focusing on getting his senses about him as he realized her request a moment earlier. The other him. He knew what she meant now and pushed himself up to a sitting position on the bed, looking a bit more nervous now. He had expected this and knew it would have to happen at some point. Either she'd need proof that what he said was real, or would be curious, or would need to see if he scared her to the point of wanting to leave him. The last option terrified him but her willingness to acknowlege it and not just pretend this all never happened was a good start. "Okay...if you're sure?" he asked wanting to make sure she was ready.

Seeing his smile as he turned and woke up Dal smiled back. He was so handsome, looking him in the eye caused a sense of calm and happiness to wash over her. If she hadn’t been sure before she certainly was now, she couldn’t leave him. Seeing his waking face was certainly something she wanted to get used too.
Watching him wake up and focus Dal sat back and gave him room watching him closely and taking all of him in. She watched him as her previous words set in, not wanting to repeat it and pester him for something he might not be ready to show her. When he spoke again she nodded. “I want to see you, the other you. All of you.” She smiled hoping it gave him confidence and encouragement. This wasn’t a matter of Dal not believing him, she did, it was more curiosity.
“I’ve had time to let it all settle in. I was drinking coffee and curiosity got the best of me.” She smiled brightly knowing it probably made her look more like a kid then a woman in love and about to see an amazing part of her soul mate. Shifting on the bed Dal brought her knees underneath her and looked over at him. “Are you allowed to show me?” she asked wondering if it was a rule not to show others, or if maybe he didn’t want to scare her.

Nash watched the love of his life smile back at him, her face so angelic and with such a brightness to it. He could freeze time in this moment and be happy for eternity. It helped calm his nerves from his dream even more to see her smile. She could still look at him and smile, knowing everything that he had told her the night before.
He listened to her repeat her request again, wanting to see the other him and all of it. She smiled as she said, and his eyes looked into hers, searching for any bit of fear that might be behind that smile. A brave front she may have put on for him, to try to be okay with something that wasn't normal. He was a monster from a horror movie, and was trying to get her to still love him despite his flaws. Now she wanted to see it. He gave her a nod, understanding what she was asking, and seeing that she was serious in her request.
"I would have understood if you needed longer for it to settle in, it is a lot" He said then smiling as she said how curiousity got the best of her. "I guess I would be curious if I was you too" He said knowing he'd have wanted to see too. He also took her asking to see his wolf side as a good sign, she wasn't trying to deny it existed, but was working towards understanding, and maybe even accepting what he was. He smiled again as she asked if he was allowed to show her. "You're the one person I am allowed to show and talk to about all of this, we're sworn to secrecy with everyone else, but Imprintees are special, the exception...plus I'll do anything you ask of me, I couldnt deny you a request"

Lyndal wanted to see him, she had a desire to see what the other him truly looked liked after the description he’d offered. Part of her also needed the physical proof that his words were even possible in reality, not that she didn’t trust him just that she needed to see it. She hoped her face looked as confidant as she truly felt at the idea, her morning of coffee and thinking had given her more confidence in her desire. His nod told her he understood what she wanted too see, as confidant as she was she wasn’t sure she could use the word wolf in open conversation yet.
His understanding and support of her understanding made her smile back at him, she was actually excited to see him; curiosity mixing in with it. “I’m ready to see you curiosity and all.” She nodded in return .
“What about Travis? Can he never know?” She asked knowing how hard it must be for Nash to keep such a secret from his son.. Knowing that she was part of such a secret club and well kept secret gave her a rush of nervousness and inclusion even after only recently arriving on the reservation. “Couldn’t deny me? I know you’d do anything for me Nash, but if this was a real secret you had to keep I wouldn’t push you to tell or show me anything.” She said wondering what his words meant as they seemed to weigh more then her was letting on.
Moving back on the bed Lyndal stood giving Nash chance to stand up too. She was eager and curious where he would show her and how. “Do we need to go outside? Or…” She honestly wasn’t sure and her words began to tumble. “I should get a jacket if we’re going outside and make sure no on is around. Do you need a jacket or shoes? Do you want breakfast first?” She stammered nervously.

"Okay, if its what you want" Nash agreed as she said she was ready to see him. He felt nervous, knowing this was something that could easily freak a girl out. Hell if he had seen someone change into a wolf in front of him before all of this happened he'd be freaked out too. He just hoped their love could hold them together through this. Through seeing what he really was. There was a difference between knowing what he was and actually seeing it for herself.
"Travis can't know unless someday he goes through this too...then I can explain it to him after" Nash told her. "It sucks cause even if I see the signs that he's going to, the fever, the growth spurts...I can't say anything until he's actually changed. I can't do a thing to make it easier on him so he doesn't have to be so scared that first time" He said, his voice showing a bit of anger and frustration mixed with his protectiveness over trying to make things easier on Travis than it was on him, should he even ever have to go through it. "Sorry..." He apologized, knowing he was getting himself worked up. "It may never even happen...if they leave the area, even if he has the gene, it wont be an issue for him"
He nodded as she questioned what he had told her about not being able to deny her. "I know you wouldnt push it, but if it was something you had told me to do, or something I knew was what you wanted to make you happy...I wouldnt be able to refuse. It would be like I was drowning trying to fight it, and giving in like a breath of fresh air"
Nash got up out of bed and looked around a moment wondering how he should do this as she began asking questions. "Outside definitely...I think I'd break something in here" He told her, knowing with his wolf size he'd probably just barely fit in the room and the dresser or bed were bound to be casualties if he tried. "You should take a jacket, but the less clothes for me the better...but if you want to actually see the change, I'll grab an extra pair of shorts" He said not sure if she wanted to see everything or if that would be too scary for her and a before and after was better. "I'll eat after...unless you're hungry now...phasing always makes me hungry anyway"

Knowing that Nash could never share the information with his own son made Lyndal sad just as it seemed to make Nash both sad and angry. It was a huge weight and secret to keep from his own little boy, especially if he was going to go through it too someday. Lyndal didn’t even pretend to understand the logistics or semantics behind Travis’ possibilities of becoming like his father she just knew she loved them both and would be there for them no matter what. “It does suck.” She said at a loss of what else to offer except to reach out and hold his hand. “I’ll be with you and we’ll both just wait.” She said hoping it offered some comfort that both of them would be bound not to say a thing to the boy.
“Maybe now I know that, maybe I should push it.” she giggled and teased knowing she never would push Nash into anything or demand things from him. The bond they had was strong but she didn’t want to abuse that wantonly. “Its that strong? Was it that bad before you told me, when we didn’t know how we felt?” She asked wondering more out loud, knowing she’d felt like she was trapped and couldn’t get out until they’d both confessed their feelings; that was freedom.
Lyndal babbled one, nervous by what was going to happen but ready to see and experience it. She wasn’t sure what to say or do so her mouth ran away with her as she watched Nash. As he spoke about extra shorts Dal’s brow creased not realizing til then that clothes were probably lost in the changing of forms. “Oh…Oh! Yea, right. Shorts.” She clamored turning bright red as she spun around to find a jacket or sweater for herself. She wasn’t afraid of the change, just embarrassed by the things she hadn’t thought of until then.
Pulling a jacket out from under a pile of clothes on the floor Dal turned back to him, “I had coffee already, so I’m not hungry.” She said quietly still sure her cheeks were red. She stood looking at him for a few moments unsure what to say or do next. Her mind raced as she moved towards the bedroom door wondering what would happen if someone saw, or what everything would be like between them. Would this change things? She was nervous, but excited too. “Have you shown anyone before?” She asked wondering if this was a first for him too excited to share a first something with him when she knew others things wouldn’t be.

Nash knew he was getting more worked up than he should in front of Lyndal right now as he thought about not being able to tell his son, even if he knew that Travis was about to go through the experience himself. He knew if it came to that point he'd go to Sam, and plead with his alpha for an exception to the rule. But he also knew already that it wouldnt do any good. None of the other pack members were able to tell their friends who hadn't changed yet, even after seeing the signs. He nodded, appreciating Lyndal's understanding as she agreed it did suck and took his hand, offering him comfort and calming him from what could have caused a premature transformation if he didnt get ahold of himself. "Thank you"
Nash laughed as she joked about pushing it, knowing that she could if she wanted, especially now that she knew, but still not regretting telling her everything. "Maybe I should have waited to tell you" He joked with her. He then nodded as she asked if it was that strong. "Its always been like that. And I've always known how I felt...the only thing I didnt know was how you felt before"
Nash was feeling just as nervous as Lyndal, but still gave a small smile as he saw her babbling turn to blushing as she realized what would happen to his clothes during the transformation. "I'll take an extra pair with us just in case. I'll grab them on our way out" He told her, knowing he'd still give her the option right before of not seeing the actual change. He didnt know if that would be more scary for her. Seeing his body contort, and become mishapen, and skin change to fur. It all happened in a second, but it still might be enough to push the weird factor over the edge. But at the same time part of him felt warmed by the thought that she was open enough to even consider seeing everything, the whole process, and accepting him for all of that. He knew even without the imprinting he'd love her.
He watched her pulling out a jacket and knew she was still getting over the embarrassment of the idea of him becoming naked in front of her (something he would try to keep from her to keep it from getting worse for her). He followed her to the door as she moved, letting her take this at her own pace. He shook his head as she asked her next question. "I've never shown anyone before....Kinda nervous about it" He admitted, hoping it might help with her own nerves knowing he felt the same.

Joining in his laughing lightened the mood, but Dal still knew they were both on edge about the talk the night before and what was to come next. “Maybe you should, now I can have you do anything….I have all that homework….” She laughed knowing she’d never do that too him, he gave her all she needed anyway. “I knew too, I knew when I first met you that I wanted more then friendship. I just didn’t know you could feel the same, I’m a kid compared to you. I guess I figured you’d just see me as a little sister.” She shrugged.
Seeing him naked wasn’t a repulsive idea to her, she just wasn’t sure she was ready for that yet. She wasn’t entirely sure she was ready to see the actual change, but she knew she could, and maybe would, close her eyes for that. Though she did want to try and watch it all, to understand and appreciate it all better for Nash’s sake as well as her own. “Yea maybe best. I mean half naked is one thing, but I think full exposure might be arrest able even on the rez.” she laughed still feeling the heat on her cheeks even at the very thought. “Certainly explains why there are so many scantily glad guys around here.” she said knowing now she could easy tell who was like Nash and who wasn’t, Daylan was a sure in having seen him often dressed like Nash.
Moving out into the hall Dal headed to the main door of the house as she slipped into her jacket and zipped it up. Hearing he’d never shown anyone before and was nervous too made her smile and feel a little more comfortable to not be alone in the nervousness. “I’m excited as well as nervous.” She said reaching back for his hand and squeezing it as she felt the familiar tingle of his touch and the warmth of his skin. “I’m not going to freak out Nash, I promise.” she said honestly.

Nash laughed again as she jokingly threatened to make him do all of her homework. "What have a done!" He said in mock horror. "Maybe I should have at least waited until your birthday or christmas to tell you, could have saved on buying a gift" He joked, knowing that he'd enjoy getting her gifts probably even more than she'd even enjoy getting them.
He listened as she explained about how she knew from the start too but thought he'd just see her as a kid because of their age difference. It worried him a little that she saw that as a factor between them. "Does it seem creepy to you that I do feel the same, even being older? Does the age difference bother you?" He asked genuinely worried but trying to lighten it afterwards, mostly for his own nerves. "I could always not age until you catch up to me to make it less weird"
He laughed as she suggested that full expose he might be able to be arrested for on the rez. "Depends on who catches me...but I think you're right" he said, nodding as she accurately figured out the connection with the other scantily clad young men around the rez. "I guess we don't do very well blending in"
Once Dal moved into the hall, Nash quickly crossed into his room and grabbed a pair of khaki cargo shorts to bring with him before rejoining her in the hall. He had admitted to her that she was the first person he was showing and that he was nervous about it. He hoped showing her wasn't a mistake but knew it felt right to share this with her. He smiled as she promised not to freak out. "Its okay if you freak out, and if you don't feel safe, you can run anytime, but I'll be in full control today" He told her knowing his emotions were in check and he'd change far enough away from her that she wouldnt get hurt. "I just hope even if you freak out...you'll come back to the house...and still try to give me a chance"

Laughing hard as they joked Lyndal realized it could and would all still be normal even after what he’d told her the night before and what he was going to show her soon. She’d worried it would feel different and awkward, but it was still the same and he was still Nash. “Well, I’m sure there’s other stuff you can spring on me.” she laughed.
Never in the whole time she’d been crushing on Nash had Dal ever worried about the age, it wasn’t a factor and only a few years so she didn’t notice it. “No, I don’t find it creepy. Fair dinkum, I don’t bother me. And you’re not creepy. Nuts, crazy and a dork, but never creepy.” She laughed again showing him she didn’t find him creepy at all as she joked with him and pointed out things she definitely would think about him long before she thought creep. “Ok the not aging thing will be weird, then I’ll start looking older then you and that will be strange, try explaining that to Travis or my brother.” She said joking. “Lets just stick around the same age.”
A naked Nash on the rez made her blush and laugh at the same time and she blushed more for thinking about it and him. “If Sam caught you he might give you extra duty then I’d miss you. So lets take shorts.” She reminded him without the laugh but he face smiled. “As for the blending in; no. I think even my brother is bound to worry why he isn’t getting more crook kids in the clinic. You’ll have whack jobs thinking it’s the healing properties of the water.”
Opening the door to the cold outside Dal shivered a little and turned to Nash instinctively seeking his touch and warmth. Seeing his shorts she giggled sounding ever bit the teen she was before she spoke more seriously. “I always feel safe with you. I trust you and love you and that could never freak me out. I’m not going to run, I’ll be there the whole time…well except if you change back then I’ll cover my eyes to save your modesty.” She smirked joking to ease their tension even if she was a little worried how she’d react.
Heading out the wooden house Dal stayed close to Nash in the still early and cold morning. “The woods? Or beach? Or do your guys have a place you do this?” She asked not knowing where to go or what would come next.

Nash laughed with her, finding his nerves eased a bit as they were still able to joke with each other like they had before their big conversation last night. "Tons of stuff, I mean I haven't introduced you to my litter of pups that I keep in the woods, or shown you how I can fly, or all those voodoo spells to help my eventual goal of world domination"
Nash was relieved to hear that Dal didnt find him creepy for liking her, despite being older than her. "The other things I can handle" He said gratefully. "And we can just tell people I age better than you do, being a guy and all" He joked. "But I still plan to age pretty close to you" He said knowing he couldnt let her grow old and stay a teenager. He couldnt live out another full life once she had passed on. It'd be impossible for him.
"Sam would give me more patrol duties, your brother would probably call in the Forks police on me, my aunt and uncle would have me committed" He said laughing at the different scenarios in his head. "Us Quileute men are just too tough to get hurt...or your brother will just think we're too stubborn to come in and get ourselves looked at when we do"
Nash saw her shiver and immediately moved up beside her putting his arm around her to try to keep her warm. "Do you need anything warmer?" He asked before they got far from the house. He smiled as he listened to her describe feeling safe with him, and that she wouldnt run even after he told her she could. He knew he wouldnt be mad if she did. "Thank you...and I can go behind a tree to change back to protect your eyes as well" He offered to her.
"The woods will probably be easier, the beach is more open, more chance of someone else coming up" He said knowing if someone came it would be easier for him to hide amongst the trees. "We can find a clearing, but we like to be a little ways from the houses, if time allows for that" He said knowing that some days they didnt have the luxury of finding the perfect spot to change, if it was an emergency.

“Well I haven’t told you I’m part Kangaroo and married to a tribe of man eaters back in Aussie. You got me beat on the voodoo though, but I could still help with world domination.” She smirked back joining in his freak out game. “But you should bring the pups home, Trav would love it or we could have Tacos.” She laughed
“Hey!” She shrieked reaching out to punch his arm but knowing no force she could muster would hurt him. “My family age perfectly so that one will be a push. Besides its far sexier to have an older man then a younger one, so lets try to keep it that way.” She smiled chastising him only playfully. Though the idea of been so far from him in age if he stopped his aging worried Dal, she didn’t want to grow old without him.
“My brother would freak if he found me with you naked, I’d be sent straight back home or a convent.” She laughed imagining the other scenarios with him and thinking each as scary as they were funny, only Sam would truly understand and Dal was sure she didn’t want to get on the wrong side of him ever. “My brother’s girlfriend's brother is a Quileute man I’m sure Laurie would just ask him what was up with all you stubborn boys.” she said remember Laurie saying something about Leo. “Is he like you?” she asked trying to figure out who else she knew in the pack.
Leaning into his touch Dal felt instantly warmer and calmer the effect still dazed her a little. “I’m fine, just the first chill. Just stay close?” She suggested and asked at the same time as they moved outside. Again she giggled thinking about the after part of it and his modesty as well as hers. “Sorry, I get all girlie when I think about that. I mean not that I think about it its just I keep thinking…well you keep….oh damn.” she said with another giggle.
Moving towards the woods as he told her it was better Dal nodded at his explanation. “ok so a clearing away from the houses.” She nodded again remember things to make it easier for something to focus on other then his naked after change and so he wouldn’t have to repeat it again. “Are the others out here too? Will they know you showed me?”
