Alice looked at the dresses, a little impressed with the styles for children, "Rose! What about this one?" Both sisters had gone to Seattle for a couple of hours to add to their collection of baby clothes for their niece. Tomorrow they'd throw in a more vintage look for Renesmee's father, Edward, but it had been a little hard to find clothing in Seattle that would match his own era. Alice had come from that era as well, only having been changed two years after him, though her maker hadn't been know she always held a soft spot for the unknown vampire. His gift had granted her a new life away from the asylum, a loving mate, and a wonderful family. "Oh I like these!" It was a cute duckie bathset, she'd stirred away from the likes of Pooh Bear, it wasn't her favorite cartoon character. Even if Renesmee didn't need to bath really it was still cute to take pictures of her in the tub.
They would need to be back soon though and Alice had already bought more than enough outfits for a couple days. Then there were the clothes that would be arriving in the mail she had imported from France, Italy, and the likes. When there was time maybe the family would be able to take a trip somewhere, New York perhaps? There had never been a child within their home so this was a new adventure for them all, especially Alice, whom was still uncomfortable when it came to her blurred vision but the fashion options were endless. Not only had she gained a sister and a niece but two more people to dress.

Alice and Rose had already been shopping of this sort a few times already, but every time, like today, Rose had to stop and relish the moment. This is one of the things she had wanted the most since she was a 17 year old human. The clothing, the feeding, the playtime with the little baby she had always wanted. As they approached the baby section, Rosalie gracefully traced her fingers on the little stacks of adorable clothes on their racks, grinning softly. She and Bella had been on poor terms for such a long time, she never would have imagined that they would have become friends like this. Rosalie would never be able to have children, and the notion had always tortured her. But to her intense surprise, she found that having a baby niece had filled in that empty part of her quite well. For once, she was at peace with what Bella had decided to do; how could she not when it had brought such a perfect little being into their family.
Finally, diving into the racks and shelves, Rosalie had picked out a few sweet dresses in pale pinks and lavenders. Her head snapped up when Alice called from her, though they were several yards apart,, Rosalie could see in great detail the little bathset Alice was holding up. An elderly woman was standing hear her, so she decided to just walk to Alice for a 'closer look' instead of rousing any suspicion. She laughed musically at the little duck bill at the end of the towel and nodded. "It's perfect," she told her. "What do you think about these?" She held up three dresses to show her. One was baby pink with a white sash around the mid section and the other a lavender with soft discreet ruffles at the end of the skirt.

The dresses that Rosalie had presented to Alice were all cute that she couldn't think of one that she didn't like. Being the fashionable members of the family their taste in clothing was almost synchronized yet different in being; one sister was more conservative than the other. It changed when it came to prom when they were alike in every aspect. The bath set was placed into the shopping cart beside Alice as she inspected the dresses and smiled, "They'll go so well with a picnic setting by the river! Oh and we could have Bella and Edward take a picture with Nessie in the baby pink one! A family portrait of sorts though I hope that we've got enough contacts."
They couldn't get enough pictures to satisfy the fun they'd been having with the daily fashion shows, even Jacob was having fun being around them, though it had to have been Nessie's influence on the wolf. "Oh we'll be needing shoes and props!" Alice had looked at the cribs but shrugged off, Nessie slept in almost anyones available arms, or curled up against Jacob. Though the designer cribs, the round bassinet, were cute and she had wanted to get one that looked like it was from their time. They'd need to pick up some black and white film to give it a more vintage look. "We need a large white teddy bear, did Emmett get her one yet?"

Smiling at Alice's approval of her selections, she added it to the ever growing pile of things they'd already picked out. Rosalie tilted her head in slight concern, by the end of the week, these clothes would not longer fit her niece, her inexplicably rapid growth was an underlying source of stress for the entire family. It was no wonder why Rose and Alice had dived into this project with such enthusiasm. As they developed each roll of film, they could see the the significant difference over time. They had set out to take as many pictures of her to account for every stage of development.
"I don't know about Bella," she said with a small smirk. She knew well that her newest sister was still averse to any attention, and pictures definitely fit into that category. "Edward will have to persuade her to sit still." It was definitely funny when Edward and Bella had these kinds of transactions. Bella disliked anything embellished, ostentatious and things that put her into the spotlight, but she turned to mush in the capable methods of her husband, and was swayed not long after. Rose dutifully followed Alice's lead towards the shoes, shaking her head at the question. "No we'll have to get her the bear here," she said. "There wasn't anything big enough in Forks. Do you think we should get her some toys anyway? Do you think she'll like them?" She had to ask because of the obvious mental capabilities Nessie already had. She wasn't sure if she'd still be interested in baby toys or would prefer something more stimulating.

Their cart had begun to recieve attention from a few women around them, there were an awful lot of pricey items, though she would have liked to have gone to California, it wasn't an option since it was the sunny state and they couldn't risk being outside. Alice had frowned at the store times. "We can always have the pictures digital doctorine, I'm sure Renee and Charlie would love to have a copy," Alice looked at several pairs of dress shoes, skipping over the casual ones, though it would have looked adorable to have her dress a little alternative or eighties goth. "Oh I know that he will be able to presuade her, this is Edward we're talking about," Bella would be putty in his hand no question about it.
Rosalie suddenly mentioned that a bear hadn't been found in Forks, this was good news to Alice, "We should probably get more than just white to go with different colors. Toys?" She hadn't thought about that yet not knowing if buying baby toys would be insulting to their precious niece. "I'm not to sure what kind of human toys would be sufficent for Nessie, maybe a rubik cube? It would certainly keep her occupied though I'm not sure Carlisle would appericate us getting her that...maybe we should consult him?"

Rosalie grinned as Alice reassured her that Edward was more than capable of persuading Bella into a few photos. She was right, of course, aside from her ability to see the future. Especially when Alice reminded her of Bella's parents. It was not as Rosalie had ignored their existence, it was just something odd for a vampire to actually still interact with their biological parents. She had only met Renee briefly, but Rose actually thought Charlie was quite pleasant past his mundane human traits.
She gave Alice a skeptical look when she said she wanted several bears of different colors. Alice had a tendency of going overboard at times, like the graduation party and even the the birthday party that had prompted their departure from Forks almost two year ago. But as she glanced at the mountain of clothes they had gotten Nessie; she realized that she was just as enthusiast as her sister. Nessie had changed them all completely, and she wasn't ashamed to be a little more like Alice when it concerned her. "We can wait on the toys," she agreed. "Let's look at the bears and see how big they are here." She tried stunting her words from there, but she just had to let it slip while Bella and Edward weren't around. "Anything but a wolf," she mumbled, referring to Bella's best friend, who had imprinted on her niece.

When Rosalie mentioned wolves she frowned, "Definitely not wolves," the smell had permeated throughout the house not that she had anything against the wolves now. Jacob had helped her greatly through Nessie's birth that at times she thought she could hug him and not let him go. Though his smell had prevented her from doing that for which she was greatful. Silk was awfully hard to wash. It had shocked her when he'd imprinted on little Nessie but Bella's reaction was priceless. Of course they had to intervene or there would have been a stinky wolf corpse on their lawn and Alice wasn't going to offer her services. Teddy bears were just a safe zone for all of them and sadly it didn't seem there were to many various sizes of the animal. They'd probably have to order them offline or at a toy store. Didn't these stores have everything anymore? Alice remembered a time when the stores provided you with everything you needed...though those were more simple times.
"You know the boys aren't going to be happy with us once we get back," Alice had seen their future and saw their significant others shaking their heads, "You'd think they would give us a break, you don't inherit a niece everyday especially being us and one that is a half-ling," it was the only word she could think of didn't give them away.

Rosalie was pleased that her other sister also had reservations towards the dogs. Bella was its best friend so she always defends him, and Edward always follows suit. I was nice to have someone who didn't like him around, even if the discomfort wasn't as strong and her reaction wasn't as fierce as her own. The only other consolation was the obvious affection Nessie had for the dog. It wasn't excusable, but Rosalie could not deny her happiness. Rosalie tolerated Jacob Black for that reason alone.
Looking over a small pair of baby blue shoes, she wondered how many days it would take Nessie to outgrown it. She grinned slightly when Alice mentioned Jasper and Emmett. They would certainly feign disapproval, but they were happy about their new family members as well. "Emmett would know better," she said, her teasing tone mixed with a mock warning. "And I think Jasper's given up on your shopping addiction."

"You know," Alice began, her eyes wandering over their treasures, "I'm wondering if all of this is going to fit in your car and regretting that we didn't take Emmett's jeep in order to haul heavier items. I'd really like to purchase a round bassinet just for the pictures," if they had known that Nessie would have lived after the birth she would have already purchase one but with the splitting headaches that would have been a little difficult. "I like those," Rosalie had been observing a pair of baby blue shoes, "I think they'd be perfect for Nessie," Alice didn't forget that they'd be needing some more film in both color and black and white. "Do we have enough scrapbook materials?" A few books caught her eye along with the little stickers and add-ons. It couldn't hurt to have an extra one once they finished with the others and the albums.
Alice laughed, a few woman turned to stare at her, mesmerized, "Yes, I agree that Jazz has more than likely given up on my shopping addiction and he should thank me for picking out his clothes in the mornings. Major or not, my husband does have a hard time dressing himself. Oh and if I'd let Emmett dress himself, I can bet you that he'd pick muscle shirts and torn jeans." Of course she knew that Rosalie would never allow her own husband to parade around Forks looking as if he'd gone shopping in a garbage pin.

Glancing at the pile of items they were about to purchase, she had almost forgotten that they somehow needed to take it back "You're right," she said, mentally calculating how much of it would fit in the back seat and trunk. "If it's too much, we can stuff the car and one of us can drive it and the other can run the rest of it back to Forks." Luckily the Northeast was dense with forest cover, making a run back to their home an easy line to the east and parallel to the freeway. Satisfied with her suggestion, she had no issue adding the shoes that Alice had approved to their pile. "There's a lot left over from yesterday," she told her. "But there were some princess themed things for the book near the entrance when we walked in." Aside from buying clothes and styling their niece's every outfit, both of the Cullen women had been complete in their tasks in setting up each set of photos and choosing the best ones to compile.
The same women that had turned to react to the source of the beautiful, musical laughter were now staring in awe at Rosalie, who ignored them. "Emmett would probably still be in hunting attire if I left him to his own devices," she said chuckling softly. "Shredded and bloodied, still." The actual memory made Rosalie shudder, but her musings did not bring her that deep into the past. She laughed easily as she and her sister indulged in the children's section. "Hats?" she asked, looking at her again as she caught sight of a small display with several little caps, sunhats and bandannas for little girls.

Rosalie pointed out the princess themed crafts for the book and Alice made a mental note to check it out in a minute. A rack of hair accessories had caught her attention and as she went through them quite a few ended up in the cart, "I'm quite jealous of Nessie's curls actually," Alice stated, her own hair was short, for as long as she could remember it had always been short.
"Bandanas are a no," Alice spoke quickly, "But I must say the little caps and sunhats are a must." Looking through she found a couple that she liked and knew would go well with the dresses and various other styles of clothing. A thought suddenly popped into her head and she groaned, not happy obiviously, "As much as I'd hate for us to do it but it must be done, we're going to have to purchase a suit for Jacob. I can't have him in the pictures dressing like he just walked out of some barn and wrestled some cattle." He'd never accept clothing that at one point one of the male Cullens had wore but what about one she'd just bought. Alice felt that Rosalie would probably object to the idea since he made it his personal business to torment her.
"Its not like I want to but we have to do it..." It would prolonged their stay in Seattle but that was fine with her. Seth on the other hand excepted everything and anything the family gave him which was strange yet comforting to Alice in a strange way though she couldn't get use to the smell. After Renesmee was born her headaches werent as intense as they'd been in the past though they hadn't gone away completely.

Rose smiled at Alice's expressed envy of their niece's perfect hair. The color, miraculously, was the same peculiar bronze tone of their brothers, though the Swan family was represented in its ringlets. It was a such a perfect combination that Rosalie could not have imagined anything else. While she had once thought Bella to be plain and ordinary, there were features there in Nessie from the Swan line that only made her shine even brighter. She looked at each hat Alice selected, satisfied with the choices.
She started to also look through other accessories that Alice had been perusing when her angelic face suddenly frowned in disgust. "Absolutely not," she answered fervently. "Why do we have to buy clothes for the dog?" She looked as if she had been singled out and personally offended. Jacob Black was not only the most obnoxious child of their acquaintance, a title once held by Bella once upon a time, but he was also supposed to be their mortal enemy. Not to mention that he left that horrible stench behind him and he'd imprinted on her beloved niece. Rosalie's temper flare higher as her mind tallied every annoyance and demerit that Jacob had, finding solace in hating him and his love for annoying her.

Rolling her eyes she searched in her bag, pulling out her debit card, "We've got to be nice Rose for the sake of Nessie, I'm sure she wouldn't like it if we told her of our indifference towards the werewolves. Though I must say I like Seth's sunny disposition it shines a lot more than Jacob's woe is me attitude. Bella was never going to choose him though he fought it well..." She hadn't seen anything pertaining to Jacob but she could see Bella and her eyes were only set on Edward.
"You can leave the shopping for Jacob for me, I've already had an idea of what I'd like for him to dress up and afterward he can give the clothing away to goodwill or something. The Cullen's women, mostly just Rosalie and Alice, had no sense of fashion so their youngest sister/daughter was sent out to fetch some things for the senior members of our class. They'd gotten enough time now and it was probably time to ring up the tab though that wouldn't stop them going about LA to see potential.

The only thing that had interrupted Rosalies ever-increasing list of Reasons to Hate the Mutt was the name Nessie. She was still disgusted with the idea that their shopping trip should include him, but it was difficult to ignore that Nessie was just as enamored with him as he was with her. She remembered the last time she'd held her and Nessie had deliberately touched her face and showed her the couple of hours she'd spent with Jacob. Her powers were not just limited to images of what had transpired, but Rosalie could also sense the tenderness with which she regarded him. While the thought of the image and feelings in that same instant were repulsive to Rose, she knew that it was from Nessie and that she loved him. It was the only thing that kept her from ripping his head off. The only thing she agreed with, but would never admit, was that Seth was less annoying than Jacob. It was difficult to dislike him.
Her frown remained in place, but she shrugged. At least Alice took the task upon herself; she would have nothing to do with it. "Just keep him away from me," she told her, irritation still evident in her tone. She tried to occupy her mind with happier thoughts, and her eyes landed on a little party dress. Her eyes expression softened, imagining Nessie wearing the soft ivory dress complete with baby pink sash. For what occasion, who knew, but it didn't matter. She picked it up and grinned. "Alice," she said, lifting it and showing it to her.

Rosalie held up an ivory party dress with a pink sash, it was adorable and a must-have, "I like it, throw it onto the pile, I can already see an idea for the dress. A victorian tea party! We can have the whole family involve in it this time with period clothing and fine china!" Alice began to think up other ideas, should they use color or black and white? There was a vintage looking film they could probably purchase but she could already see it in her mind. "Leave it to me, I think I've got a few things already but we'd need someone to make the dresses and I know just the website to help with making everyones attire."
Okay so Alice was having way to much fun with this but they'd need to go now if they were going to have time to purchase a nice suit for Jacob. Pulling the cart up to the cash register she began to slowly put the items onto the counter. The woman looked at both of them with saucer-shaped eyes at the amount they were purchasing and her thoughts began to wonder if these were for both of them.
