Character Basics
Name: Adam James Blythe
Nickname:
Age: 20 (265)
Appearance
Looks: 5’9”, dark brown hair that is usually left looking quite tousled, though he does like to slick it back if he wants to impress the ladies, he has full lips that are almost constantly stretched into a self-satisfied smirk, giving the impression of bigheadedness though the smile can be far more genuine than it appears at times. He has a strong build, toned though not exceptionally muscular; he is fit if not bulky and prefers to wear casual suits whenever possible, or a shirt and tie, often loosened, with trousers, sticking to the styles he made his own as a human and adapting them to the era.
Scars, tattoos, other marks: none
Portrayed by: (may include photo here) Ed Westwick
Personality and Stats
Basic Personality: Adam comes across as arrogant and bigheaded on first glance, a remnant of his personality as a human due to his high-class upbringing. However, the overconfident behaviour is mainly just for show, he is in fact very kind and caring and has a very strong sense of loyalty when he finds someone worthy of it. He has a prominent weakness for the ladies, often leading him to be labelled a flirt or a player, but his flirting is nearly always, unless he’s hunting, genuine and he rarely bothers to spend his time on trying to attract a woman unless he is truly interested in her. He does enjoy hunting and will often use his charms to attract human women to feed on, or for other purposes. He has a passion for the arts, something that has led to him returning to his hometown often as well as wandering the streets of Hollywood at night, if only to be in the area where some of his idols have lived and performed, though he does on occasion regret not being able to enjoy Broadway and the theatre the way he could if he were human.

Car: silver Ferrari 360 Modena convertible
History:
Birthplace: New York City
Family: all deceased

History: Adam was born in New York City in 1744 to a pair of very high class parents. Being under British rule at the time, wealth and status were considered to be two of the most important assets any person could have and as a young man Adam was quick to learn that they could bring both happiness and false friends. While he took full advantage of his status as the son of one of the highest ranking gentlemen of the city, he was well aware of the attention he garnered through his actions and was careful to remain grounded, keen to maintain his position through likeability as well as the more common methods of buying friends and success in business. When he was 10, the city gained a new level of recognition when the newly founded Columbia University opened its doors and his father was quick to secure Adam a place for when he was old enough to attend.
At age 18, he began his studies at King’s College in politics and economics, the latter in the hopes of following successfully in his father’s footsteps as a businessman. He enjoyed the study and the social aspect of the experience and spent a lot of his spare time with his classmates wandering the streets of New York and admiring the young ladies they met.
By the time he was 20, having completed two years of study and placing among the honours students each year, he was securely settled as one of the most eligible bachelors in New York, enjoying a life of study, parties and helping to oversee his father’s trading business. While he was often seen by his father’s colleagues as weak due to his sensitive nature, he had learned to push that side of his personality to the rear when necessary and was ruthless in using his charm and business sense to secure some of the highest stakes in the economy of the city, leading to his being dubbed as arrogant and false by his peers.
Shortly before his 21st birthday, Adam was returning home from a party with a handful of his friends, all of them intoxicated, when he was separated from the group. Wandering the back alleys of in an attempt to retrace his steps after becoming lost, he ran into another young man who he assumed had been to the same party. Approaching the man, he began to ask for directions but was swiftly attacked. He fell and knocked over a bucket that had been standing near the wall, an accident that proved to be his salvation. A policeman who was patrolling nearby heard the noise and approached the alleyway to investigate. Distracted, the vampire quickly dropped Adam and went after the officer instead, leaving the partially drained young man to stumble away as quickly as he could. He managed to make it only a couple of blocks before he collapsed, the venom rapidly spreading through his body and weakening him.
He awoke in a rundown part of the town having been dragged there by a group of robbers and relieved of all the most valuable possessions he had been carrying. He barely remembered the experience apart from the agony of his transformation and was shocked to discover he was still alive, having assumed the pain was the precursor to his death. Furious at the treatment he had received during his last hours as a human, he traced the smell of the robbers and made quick work of them, his first meal.
Once more in possession of his belongings, Adam soon left New York and travelled west, spending the next 200 years enjoying life to the fullest. While he missed being human, vampirism had far more benefits, his improved looks and natural charm making it easy to hunt and to satisfy all aspects of his appetites. He spends his time as a nomad for the most part, occasionally settling for a short period of time when he decides he likes a place and once in a while heading back to New York or to Hollywood to take in what sights and sounds he can of the arts he was so fond of as a human.
