Jayden’s eyes flicked to the doorway as the new vampire emerged into the room. She was small and sprite like with hair that seemed to have a will of its own. He faced gave her the appearance that something was troubling her and it wasn’t paranoia that told Jayden it was her. All she had done since she had arrived here was put this family on edge. The new comers comment about been broken didn’t put Jayden at ease, nor had the fact that she was staring at her.
Jayden shifted a little, feeling very uncomfortable under her watchful glare. She looked at Edward and Rosalie then back to the girl in the door.
“What is all this?” She asked in a more demanding voice, “Who is this?”

Rosalie's glare softened to a suspicious look as she saw her sister enter with an expression that barely graced her pretty features. She rubbed her temples like humans did when they had headaches, which was a ridiculous notion for one of their kind. When Alice finally spoke, Rosalie could not sit down any longer, she stood up with her fists balled and glared at Edward again. Either Alice would tell then what her visions were doing or Edward would be the insufferable know-it-all as always and beat her to it.
Her head snapped to look at the hybrid again when she spoke out of turn, Rosalie's brow folding in angelic anger. How dare she question them in their own home? Just because Carlisle and her were now best friends? "She's my sister," she spat back at her, purposely excluding Edward as if he were not acting as their sibling. She turned back to Alice her eyes softening only slightly, ignoring Jayden. "Alice, what do you see?"

"I don't see anything," As the words settled in it frightened her, why hadn't she been able to see anything concerning this girl or anything in fact. "Its blank..." Her voice became quieter, though she knew those present could hear her, " Rosalie hadn't been happy about the girl making an atroicous comment about who she was and if Alice had felt any better than she would have reacted as well. Though grateful that her older sister had defended her being, being near the other girl wasn't helping her and she slowly inched back towards the door, "I don't understand, its like a locked door, nothing is coming through..." A sense of panic was developing in her and she looked at the new girl and Rosalie finally ending up on Edward.

As Rosalie stood Jayden instantly copied the movie feeling marginally more ready for whatever was to come. She ignored the sneered comment for the outwardly beautiful blonde and looked to the new comer.
“What do you mean see?” She asked, “She what?” She looked at Edward then to Rosalie and Alice.
It was difficult to be intruding on this family. Now there was something to see about all this? Jayden was most confused and still apprehensive and scared by this new appearance. When Alice stepped back away from Jayden and said she was like a locked door Jayden mistook her reference.
“I will tell you all you want to know, just as I was telling Rosalie. And as I told Edward before.” She said in a calm honesty, “I have nothing to hide.”

The girl stood up mirroring Rosalie's own move before her voice became frantic when Alice had mentiong not being able to see. Alice turned to her, looking at the girl, hearing a faint heartbeat but there was something off with her heart. It was faster than a normal humans and even though she was alarmed it shouldn't have been beating that fast. Was the girl having a heartattack but wouldn't she been in pain right now and it was clear she wasn't. Sudden the girl's own voice calmed down and looking at Alice stated that she would tell her everything as she'd told her siblings and that there was nothing to hide. This was confusing to Alice as she'd normally be able to see what would happen next but nothing.
"Obiviously you do have something to hide if I can't see what your going to do next," Alice's voice was montone, something unlike her, she continued to look at the newcomer, "Whatever you are is blocking what is infront of my eyes!" This wouldn't make sense to the girl but it made sense to her family. What was this girl? Humans were blurry to her but she could see them despite that handicap and vampires were more clearer.

Normally it was always left to Edward, Alice or Jasper themselves to let their abilities be known to another, but Rosalie ignored her own carelessness in the verbal slip she'd made about Alice. What worried her more was the fact that Alice's ability were voided when it came to Jayden. She quickly flitted over to Alice, putting a hand on her shoulder but not turning her back on Jayden. For a split second, she wished she could have some insight as to what it was like to have the ability snuffed out. But she already felt a bit of her comfort abandon her, the comfort that usually resided in one of them with Edward's and Alice's powers looking over their family.
Alice had voiced Rosalie's suspicion, that Jayden had something to hide. If she could bypass Alice, what was stopping her from doing the same with Edward? "Nothing at all?" she asked her.

Jayden couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable under the scrutiny of Alice and Rosalie. She didn’t look to Edward for fear that she would see the same distrust that was she viewed in Rosalie and Alice’s golden eyes. She’d at least spoken to Rosalie; this new comer was obviously judging her merely on sight alone. As Alice spoke her accusation Jayden couldn’t stop her snapping tone. “Hiding something? How dare you judge me without so much as hearing a word that I have to say?” She snapped. “You judge me on sight then accuse me of blocking you. Blocking you from what?” Jayden blasted her.
She watched as Rosalie gracefully crossed to Alice’s side and touched her shoulder. It made Jayden feel ganged up on, them versus her. She didn’t look to Edward as anger her anger boiled that he would stand by and let this happen. When Rosalie asked Alice about seeing again Jayden spoke out again. “See what? What I am is what you see. I neither hide anything nor claim to anything then what I am.” She said in an exasperated burst of anger. “Edward, tell them. You know my story and what I am.”

Edward stepped forward attempting to get between his sisters and Jayden. He could hear all of their tempers flaring and knew that if he didnt calm the situation soon, this could end badly. "Jayden is telling the truth" He told them both.
Edward then turned his attention to Alice. He understood what it was like to suddenly be cut off from your power around someone. It had happened with him and Bella, and had been frustrating. "Alice, she's not doing anthing actively, if you're unable to see her, its not by her doing" He told her, knowing from Jayden's thoughts that she knew nothing of what was going on. "Please both of you try to stay calm and hear her out"
Edward then turned to Jayden who was just as upset as his sisters. "This is all a little overwhelming for them, please have patience and remember how easy it can be to judge someone" He told her, remembering when she had easily made judgements on his and Bella's relationship.
He then turned back to Alice trying to give her what information he could without upsetting her. "Jayden showed up the other day when Carlisle, Esme and I were there. She's unique, a hybrid, her father knew Carlisle and we've agreed to help her" He said knowing that hearing that Carlisle trusted the girl would mean more than just his own trust in Jayden.

Alice opened her eyes a little more, biting her lip, Edward was defending the girl but there had been a reason and she'd listened to what he had to say. They understood each other being two of three that had extra abilities that transfered to their vampire lives. He'd asked them politely, though there seemed to be some strain but to be stuck in a room full of on edge females wasn't the best place to be, Alice hadn't meant to sound vicious but the panic had set in and what was she suppose to do. The vision had become so much of who she was that to lose them now was devestating. Edward had turned to speak once again to Jayden again before turning back to Alice.
"I see..." Carlisle trusted the girl but the fact that she was a hybrid was something else. "A hybrid? As one parent is a vampire and the other a human?" For a second she was dumbfounded, how could that be possible? Their bodies were suppose to be able to produce children but here stood a product of such. Listening to what her brother had to say been a little harder after hybrid had been mentioned. Alice turned miserably so that they couldn't see her entire face, but the headaches were a bit annoying and the slight throbbing wasn't plesant, "I'm sorry Jayden," Alice began, "I'm able to see into the future based upon the current decision of that person. If it changes so does the vision."

Jayden nodded and held her tongue, she remember how a few days ago it had been her jumping to conclusions with little information; though the jury was still out on that matter. She stepped back and listened as Edward tried to defuse the situation growing between her and his sisters. She’s already gotten the measure of Rosalie; beautiful and with a quick vicious that would rival her own. Alice, the new comer was a little harder to fathom. She was small, and elfin like. She had the same amazing beauty that all of their kind carried, even with her face so soured by the grimace. Jayden watched her face as Edward spoke, she seemed to accept his words but her coming actions would be the test of that.
When Edward had finished it was Alice who spoke. Her words seemed precariously picked to Jayden, like any word would shatter her or the whole situation. Alice spoke the word hybrid as if it was an alien concept; Jayden could understand that if she were not one herself she wouldn’t believe it possible either. When the elfin girl spoke of her own ability Jayden nodded and understood that must have been what Rosalie was asking when she said see.
“So you can not see my future?” Jayden asked carefully. Suddenly the prospect of a seer not seeing her future scared her. Was it all over for her? “What does that mean, if you can see my future?” She looked worriedly at Alice.

Rosalie continued to ignore Edward and kept her gaze on Alice, looking for any signs of distress on her face in case any glimpse came to her. But she said there was nothing. The surprise of Edward's explanation was apparent on her face, but the discomfort of having her visions blocked never left. She wasn't sure what it mean, but it made her uncomfortable as well. There had never been a time since Alice and Jasper had joined them where her visions had failed her. As if the hybrid didn't already have reason to be suspected, now she was messing with one of her family's safeguards.
Worried still, she kept quiet and waited for Alice to answer. She would certainly know the intricacies of her ability, perhaps there was something she hadn't shared with them before.

"That's correct, I cannot see your future," Alice began, rubbing her temples to relieve the tension, her eyes shut, "I cannot see anything while I'm around you. I'm able to see the futures of vampires clearly, humans are blurry, but with you its like I'm normal." She spoke the words with distaste, Alice had never been normal her whole life, "Its like this blank slate that I'm seeing which I figure is what the rest of you see on a regular basis." Alice felt handicapped, useless, as she leaned against the door frame staring across from her the same frame.
"There is something about you that has me blocked out of my visions." Jayden, though not a bad person, couldn't be anywhere near Alice until the headaches subsided. Would she ever get use to the idea of a hybrid hanging around? Whatever the case was she was feeling way to vunerable and wanted to go find Jasper to help her. Though she hadn't seen him all day.

The idea that she had taken, or blocked, something from this vampire worried Jayden. Would they consider it a black mark against her? A reason not to trust her? She listened as Alice explained her gift, yet her look never changed. It seemed to hover somewhere between pained and irritated.
“I am sorry for causing you this pain and distress. Perhaps it would be better if I left.” She suggested, the temptation to add ‘and come back another time’ was too much, though she wasn’t sure after all this trouble that they would want her back.
Once again she rose form her position. “Edward, thank you again. Rosalie and Alice, I an sorry for any upset I have caused.” She didn’t want to leave. She didn’t know where to go or what to do. However, she didn’t know if staying was an option either.

Alice hadn't meant to drive the girl away, if she were in a better mind-set she'd of welcomed her into the house more graciously, though the uncomfortable feeling within herself took over her own reasoning. The longer the girl would stay the longer the discomfort would stay and it wasn't that she didn't like her, frankly the girl seemed nice enough but with life as it was they couldn't afford not to be able to see what would happen next. Edward would also relay the message to the others when she could not at the moment. Looking towards the girl, her eyes squinted as if she'd been places into a bright room, she forced a somewhat gentle smile, "Please excuse my rude behavior, this just caught me off guard. Surprises are never good in my book." Alice sat down in a reclinder, tucking her feet beneath her, waiting to see what Edward would say to Jayden's proposition to leave on the behalf of her. Looking towards Rosalie she offered a tired smile, though of course she wasn't tired.

Jayden remained stood as Alice spoke. In truth she didn’t want to leave, she wasn’t sure if the reaction of his sisters would make Edward want her to stay away. At least Alice seemed to have reason for her apparent dislike of her; Rosalie seemed to just hate her on sight.
Alice spoke an apology and Jayden offered a weak half smile. Her eyes watched as Alice move to the recliner. “I am sorry for the surprise and the effect I have on your gift.” Jayden said offering her own repeated apology. “I never knew been what I am could do that to some people.”
She wasn’t sure of anything about herself in truth and this whole visit was causing her to assess that. Been away from both species for so long had made her forget her difference to both species. She wasn’t sure if humans could tell she was different or if Vampires found her diluted human blood appealing. Suddenly not knowing herself made her just as afraid as not knowing others.
“Perhaps all this is a little sudden.” Jayden said as much to the people in the room as herself.
