Running behind Jenna, Rosalie was already trying to think of how to help her. There were not many of their kind in existence. For the most part, vampires succumbed to their nature and fed on humans. It was extremely uncommon, which was why Carlisle had created Edward in the first place. It wasn't until many years later that they had encountered Tanya and her family. And other than them, Rosalie could count the vegetarians they had met in the last 80 years with one hand.
They reached the girl's car quickly, and Rosalie's face grew a grin of amusement at the Prius. An environmentally conscious vampire. Who knew? She watched Jenna pour out an old coffee, figuring she must have been among humans recently. Slipping into the passenger side, she looked at the girl and tilted her head in curiousity. After a second of consideration, she determined that Jenna was... nervous? It occurred to her that Jenna might be feeling out her element, usually being alone, and now she was going to meet a full house of vampires that she had a very important resemblance to. Rose offered her the warmest smile she could offer her considering the circumstances and glanced forward. "Take this road straight until you hit the highway and head north," she told her. "So... how did you hear about us?" It seemed the girl hadn't met Tanya yet, and it seemed like a good idea to know who else would be talking about the Cullens.

Edward was seated at his piano. He was playing a piece he had written decades ago. Ever since meeting Bella he enjoyed playing more and had done it more frequently. He had started feeling pleasure in more activities of his life. He felt like he was really living. His eyes were closed as he focused on the music, letting it flow out of him. He picked up Rosalie's thoughts as she neared the house and thought nothing of them at first, until he realized she was talking to someone.
He stopped playing instantly as he diverted his attention more closely to Rosalie. She was bringing the new person home. After a few more moments he realized it was another vampire, new to the area. It was also one that knew of the Cullens, and he could hear Rosalie questioning how she knew about them. Edward got up from the bench in front of his piano and went to look for his other family members to let them know what was coming.

Esme was positioned in the large, spacious kitchen of the Cullen house. She found herself flitting at her natural speed from different areas in the kitchen, making sure everything was organized and in it's correct place. They never used the kitchen, but they needed to keep the human facade, so they kept it stocked with all the necessities. Although very recently they had used it the few times Bella had visited.
Once the kitchen was immaculate to Esme's perfection she moved on toward the large front room where moments before Edward was playing his piano. She smiled slightly at the thought. It wasn't until very recently that Edward had played so much. She smiled hugely at the brown haired, pretty brown eyes human she pictured in her mind.
It was now that she took notice to the cessation of the wonderful music. She wondered where he had gone, but she didn't need to wonder long as she entered into the spacious living area. She walked in just in time to see Edward get up and leave his seat at the piano. "Where are you going?" she asked nonchalantly.

Edward had been so focused on monitoring Rosalie's thoughts as she approached the house that he didn't take note of which of his family members were where within the house. He was relieved to see Esme was home and had found him, saving him the trouble of searching her out.
"Looking for you actually, well anyone still home" Edward told her, walking over towards her. "It's Rosalie, she's coming here with another vampire...I didn't notice it until just now, but she seems alright" He said, wanting to reassure her that no one appeared to be in immediate danger. "They're just down the street, in the woman's car"

Jenna turned as Rose was suddenly beside her and smiled slightly to ease the awkwardness she felt at the moment. Pulling out of the cove the car was hidden in she pressed the accelerator down, the pedal barely an inch from the floor board. Jenna knew she was a fast driver and really didn't care she couldn't stand having to move so slowly so she always drove as quickly as possibly without being noticed. Listening carefully to Rosalie's instructions she nodded before moving swiftly onto the highway, hearing Rose ask about how she had come to know about the Cullens Jenna shifted,
I was passing through a small town in Montana and i heard a few nomads speak of your family and how....
she shifted uneasily remembering what the nomads had said of the Cullen's but knew Rose would want to know after she paused abruptly,
How they thought it ridiculous of a family with such potential to live among the prey and not feed upon the measley humans. One infact laughed and said some things about how Carlisle was turning you all against your true selves. But i ignored the rest and quickly left i couldn't bare it to hear them talk that way. I was also worried my andger would get the best of me once again and i would get myself into a spot i wouldn't be able to get out of by myself.
Quickly turning and then looking back at the road she wanted to see if Rose's expression had changed at her babbling. Nothingregistered diffrently to her but she still was worried that at any moment she could say the wrong thing and this hopefully pleasent encouter with the cullens would turn ugly. Now that her mind wandered in the silence she worried that maybe a trap was set and she had been naive enough to fall into it. If her heart beat it would be racing she assumed, she felt like she should have never come to Forks and was beginging to wonder if she made the right decision seeking out the Cullens. Throwing the thought from her mind she focused on the road and turned to Rosalie as the road furthered,
Are we getting close?

Carlisle, meanwhile, was sat in his study, having dedicated the evening to becoming up to date with the very latest medical practices and technology. Although he wasn’t still trying to let blood or drill holes in peoples’ skulls for headaches, it did become quite easy to forget the startling speed at which medicine advanced - he saw it all the time in his elder human colleagues, slowly but surely removed from the medical register as they refused to take on board new and improved practices. It would look quite suspect if he, a man in his ‘early-thirties‘, became lackadaisical about studying new medicine.
Hmm… early-thirties, he mused to himself. He knew that he was getting quite old for his appearance, but he couldn’t move the family along just yet, they were all enjoying themselves immensely in Forks, it was a place that all their hearts enjoyed, and now one in particular. How could he move the family away when Edward had just found love in a human? He knew that Edward could stay behind in he wished, there would be some explanation that they could come up with for leaving one of the adoptive children to fend for themselves, but Carlisle would also be unhappy about leaving the trouble-magnet, Bella, without a doctor that treat any calamity that she brought to him.
Maybe I should try some glasses or something, he continued to muse, wondering if they would add an austere look to his features and lend him a few years. From where he sat in his study, he could sense his family members and he could hear the tender notes from the piano, which only Edward could create. Again, the idea of moving on soon became a moot point. He could also vaguely sense the approach of another of his children, Rosalie, he knew each of their scents so well, but the scent of the other was still too far away to register as a vampire. Thus he continued to study.

Jenna took Rose's directions swiftly, surprising her with the power under the hybrid car's hood. Not quite as powerful as any of their own, but it seemed to satisfy Jenna. Rosalie's mind flickered through the nomads that had stopped by momentarily. The majority always had that same incredulous expression when they explained their lifestyle. They were always outnumbered, since the Cullens were an unusually large coven, so they'd mostly smile and nod to avoid insulting them. Edward usually told them what they were thinking after they left, it usually wasn't pleasant. So it wasn't surprising that the nomads did not approve of them, as if any of them cared. What Rosalie wasn't happy about was what they said about Carlisle. She tried to keep herself composed, but the lowest his of frustration escaped her perfect lips. Rosalie and Carlisle had their differences every once in a while, but he had provided for all of them the best possible conditions for this life. If they had a soul at all, he had saved all of theirs with his compassionate vision for humans. Rosalie could not possibly conceive a better father. Rosalie struggled to keep herself from spitting these defenses towards the girl, telling her he was wrong and that Carlisle was an angel among their kind. It took her the same second to remind herself that it was not Jenna who had said these things.
"Well," she finally said in a hard voice after a moment of silence while she digested Jenna's story, "I'm glad you came to see for yourself instead of taking someone else's judgment to heart. Hopefully you will not see us, or Carlisle in that light. We certainly are different," she continued, finding the words spill out of her against her will, "but there is nothing wrong with our 'nature' " She looked out the window as they left the highway and made their way towards the Cullen house. She finally looked at the girl when she asked about their proximity. "Actually, yes," she responded, a little calmer and with almost the same friendliness she had started with. "It's just a couple of miles now." She sense that her family was home, including Edward. She was still annoyed from their argument only a few hours earlier, but they would forget about it for now with a guest in their hands.
Edward. For once keep out of my head and pay attention to the girl beside me. She seems harmless enough, and she travels alone, but we've barely talked too much about her. If Bella is in the house, do us a favor and get her out now. It was occasions like these that endangered their lifestyle. Having Bella around was a risk, especially with unexpected nomads. Alice can forewarn them of their arrival, but she wouldn't be able to tell them if they'd react like James and his mate. Any one of the travelers could approach the Volturi. Irritation flared again, remembering why she was even out of the house in the first place.
The winding road that lead to the entrance was a short ride, Rosalie took the opportunity to replay the rumors Jenna had heard of them to Edward. When they arrived at the entrance she swiftly got out. She was relived a little when she sense that Bella was not nearby, and turned to Jenna. With an open gesture to the house, she was able to sound a little bit welcoming. "Our home," she muttered softly with the slightest hint of affection.

"Oh," Esme replied simply. Her honey colored eyes widening a tiny bit in shock. The minuscule movement wouldn't be picked up by human eyes, but certainly by vampire sight. They had received no previous warning from Alice, so the idea of a vampire in their area came as a surprise to her, as it surely was to everyone else. "Alright," she added recovering slightly from the unexpectedness.
Esme skipped to the end of the large staircase that led to the next two floors of their rather large home. She turned her heart shaped face in the direction of Carlisle's study. "Carlisle," she said in a soft, normal voice, knowing fully that he'd hear her.
After calling her husband she turned back to Edward. "Your sure this visitor is alright?" she questioned, knowing he'd know better than the rest of them. It was unnecessary that she question him, but she felt the need to assure the visitor meant no harm.
As she asked the question she heard the vehicle turn down their drive. Approaching the large white house quickly. Her sensitive ears picked up everything.
She found it odd that Rosalie would welcome a visitor of their kind so openly to their home. It made her curious as to what the visitor wanted, or was doing here in the cloud covered Olympic Peninsula. At Rosalie's welcoming gesture toward their home Esme instantly straightened up, everything about her sudden shift in appearance said 'Welcome'. Esme was very hospitable for a vampire.
