A pleasant sensation permeated Caleb's mind and body as Jayden insinuated that she would enjoy spending time with him anywhere. He had been afraid that she would want to do normal things, like dining in Port Angeles, catching a movie, stuff where they could be caught. Maybe all that wasn't out of the question, if she wanted to do that one day, but it was risky and he would definitely have to scope it out first. He glanced at her, a personal smirk evident on his features despite the fact that he was trying to keep his expression neutral for the benefit of any passersby.
"We should just stop in the parking lot, then, save me gas money," he quipped quietly as she passed close by him into the storage cupboard. Even he was surprised by the intensity of the impulse in his arm as the beautiful girl passed by. He couldn't believe that she was only a senior; she was stunning, something really special, that was for sure. Maybe that was why he had to fight so hard to stop himself from reaching out and holding her. He wondered if he reached out and took her hand, put an arm around her, would it make the urge even harder to fight when contact wasn't possible?
These thoughts continued to play on his mind as he stepped through the closet door after the auburn headed beauty. However, her response to his formal address sent shivers down his spine, waylaying any remaining resistance left in him. The hand on her shoulder was surprisingly gentle for a man such as him, the tenderness of emotion and unconscious courtship permeating his touch, which was quickly juxtaposed with the husky insistence of his words. Caleb didn’t expect Jayden’s reaction at this point, though; the kiss she planted on his lips coming too quick to allow him to react properly. He automatically returned the sentiment, feeling the jolt in his chest as his heart began to race. He felt like a schoolboy again (well, not him as a schoolboy, but someone else), wishing that he could spend all day in the storage closet.
“Yes, more than adequate,” Caleb uttered, his breath robbed from him by even the smallest peck of a kiss. He nodded his head once, following Jay’s line of sight, and lifted his hand to give her arm as small squeeze. Immediately he felt the magnetism flare up again and he turned to face her in the small space, his dark eyes drinking up her appearance. “We should… go…” he said, without feeling.

Slipping ahead of Caleb Jayden entered the closet knowing it was risky and dangerous, for Caleb more then herself, but she knew she wasn’t going to let that stop her been alone with him; stolen moments. There was no one else in the corridor, something Jayden had checked with a single glance and constantly listening. Her mind was spinning about the date they would soon be on, one she was glad he still wanted to take her on after seeing her in school. She wondered what they’d do and where they would go, but anywhere was fine with her so long as she was with him.
Jayden laughed at Caleb’s little joke about staying in the parking lot, she knew it was an impossible idea but it was funny. “We could take my car; I know you really want to drive it.” She smiled throwing in her own joke and smiling at the idea of Caleb in her car. It was relaxing to joke with him it was something they’d had since they’d first met; an ease of banter with one another. Keeping the banter light did little to set Jayden at ease, she still worried about the temptation and risks she was opening herself and Caleb up to.
In the close confines of the equipment Jayden was acutely aware of every aspect of Caleb’s being and body. She could hear the constant beat of his heart backed by her own fluttering that was speeding up with each passing second she spent close to him. His breath gently brushed her cheek as he spoke and Jayden’s own breath hitched in response to the proximity. The kiss was an act of impulse instinct as much as a test for her resistance, regardless its effect still caught her off guard. Her heart fluttered faster then before and she was sure he must have been able to hear it. Her breath stalled as her lips connected with his, but she felt no thirst from the contact only a yearning for more.
Jayden half smiled noting that she wasn’t the only one to be short of breath as their lips left one another. Never before would she have believed such a simple act could leave her who body so alert and electrified yet it had done just that. Jayden nodded and looked at the equipment once more as she remembered the reason for their visit to the cupboard.
As Caleb touched her again the slight squeeze of her arm made her feel she would explode. It was too much, but it was not her instinct as a hunter that flared up at his touch; it was desire for more and greater. Her eyes locked on his as he stared into hers, Jayden took in every feature of his face and again relished in the closeness the small space offered. There was reluctance in his words, the same reluctance she felt at leaving the closet and breaking its spell on them. She wondered if she could be so bold once outside. “I guess we should.” Jayden said not taking her eyes from him as she spoke. “I need to change and meet you by the print shop, 15 minutes?” She asked not truly wanting to be a part for even a second, but knowing they would be together again soon.

Caleb scrunched up his nose as Jayden suggested him driving her car instead of his own beauty. He couldn’t help it, even in this moment when he knew that he was with the woman that he loved (one of them, at least), his snobbishness towards various kinds of automobiles (regrettably including Jayden’s Beatle) was impossible to suppress. A slightly impish grin cocked one corner of his mouth and he viewed Jayden with sparkling, mischievous eyes.
“Oh, I know your game, Miss Murphy,” he stated, his tone dry as he repeated the formal mode of address. “You just want to trap me in that little girly ‘car’ of yours so that you can make time with the real thing…” He laughed a little, keeping the sound low so as not to alert anyone that might be around the corner of their little conversation. He also didn’t want anyone else to hear him sounding like a typical male teenager – he wasn’t in high school anymore.
Still reeling from the effects of such an innocuous little kiss, Caleb could only stare at Jayden for a few moments, wishing that his heart wasn’t racing quite so fast and that his breathing would steady up again. He knew that he was really into this girl, to the point where he (ridiculously) wondered if he could be in love with her despite having only met her a couple of times, but to almost lose it due to one kiss (that could almost have been platonic if it hadn’t been charged with so much… tension), it was just silly. He knew that he had to remove the proximity before he just jumped her (for want of a better word) and his eyes travelled down her form, slowly, tantalisingly until they reached the equipment she had just put away.
Not that he could resist a little bit more contact, just something for the road, as many notorious addicts of the past had insisted. However, as she turned to look at him once more, those intriguing golden eyes of hers melding with his in some kind of union that not even he really understood, he knew that distancing himself now would be an issue. An irresolvable issue. He shuffled a minute step forward so that they were once again occupying the same space. With a slowness that perhaps betrayed the slight nervousness of his actions, he lifted his hand and rested it against Jayden’s chin, his forefinger moving to stroke it slightly. The skin was so smooth, so perfect.
“Mmhmm,” he muttered as Jayden’s words displaced themselves into the roar of blood thundering through his ears. He slowly leant his head downwards, and having reached the point of no return, he imparted another kiss on her irresistible lips. This one was less platonic, in no way friendly. Instead, he filled it with the passion that infused his being, moving one foot backwards so that the door would not just swing open.
“Fifteen minutes,” he said, at last pulling away, his voice shot with passion.

Girlie car; even Jayden had to admit it was that. “You think my car is girlie? You clearly haven’t seen how I drive it.” She said matching his dry tone and finishing the teasing sentence with a humor filled musical laugh. The banter they shared flowed as easily as the feelings Jayden was feeling for him even though she knew she shouldn’t feel anything, he was human. Been human should have been enough to halt her feelings and action, but it it wasn’t there was the fact that he was a teacher and in her current guise that was a whole world of trouble. “Its now how the car looks, its how you drive it.” She smiled again.
Standing in the dim light of the supply closet Jayden could clearly make out the look on Caleb’s face and she could easily see she’d effected him. Though for everything his face said to her his body spoke louder. Jayden could hear the racing of his heart as his body reacted in ways an average girl wouldn’t realize, she couldn’t help the smile that spread on her face knowing the effect she had on him. If any of her kind were close they would pick up her own racing heart as her mind ran wild with other thoughts. As his eyes ran down her body Jayden’s eyes did the same to him, she took in every aspect and committed it to memory. Her feelings were running wild, not that different from those of the teenage girls she was trying to fit in with - fitting. Despite everything she’d yell at Edward such a short time ago, Jayden knew she was falling for this human and she couldn’t stop.
As Caleb closed the slight gap between then Jayden felt her breath hitch in anticipation and desire. As their bodies almost touched, and in some places made contact, she felt his body heat cover her own and over take it. Has his hand moved towards her Jayden felt more nervous then she had been in a very long time. She was perfectly still, letting him come to her and was grateful for the slowness of the gesture. Her skin tingled and heated from his touch. Tilting her head into the touch to deepen the contact she realized she was craving.
The kiss was deeper then the one she’d given, and she reciprocated with equal passion and desire. She wanted this now and more in the coming time. Jayden’s hands reached up Caleb’s toned chest slipping around his broad shoulders pulling him to her in a move that was certainly break more then just school rules. She heard the movement of his foot and assumed he was blocking the door, in that action and assumption she gave herself into the kiss and forgot the worry.
The break in the kiss came too soon, any length of time would have been too soon. Jayden stepped back, untangling her arms from Caleb and smoothing her gym kit. “Ok.” She said hearing the gasping breath in her single word.
Leaving the closet quickly wasn’t a desire to be away from him, it was a need to get back to him quickly. Moving back to the gym Jayden passed no one in the now deserted school, outside she could hear cars leaving and dwindling conversations. Showering and changing quickly, a speed more vampire then human.
When she finally stepped out into the school parking lot the place was deserted, even the teachers cars had all but vanished. Thankfully. Caleb’s car was there in the staff lot, and her own, alone, in the student spaces. Starting her car and driving to the instructions whispered to her a few moments ago Jayden’s mind was spinning and her heart was still racing. Pulling her car to a stop, she waited.

A light smirk spread over Caleb’s face as he heard Jayden rise to the challenge on her car. So she expected to shock and impress him with her driving skills did she? He would have to see about that, and he would certainly love to see it, though he wouldn’t be surprised at anything this woman could do; she was full of surprises around every corner. He laughed along with her, though he managed to keep his tone lower, worried that Clapp might come down the corridor and hear them. He lifted a hand and brushed his fingers lightly over her lips, knowing that he was perhaps challenging their boundaries, but enjoying the desirous sensations even a fleeting touch aroused.
“Shh,” he said, his voice low, his eyes bright and teasing and hers. “I most definitely agree and maybe one day we’ll manage to upgrade you to a real car. Then you would really know how a good ride feels.” His eyes sparkled mischievously and he laughed a little more at his overplayed innuendo, hoping that she wouldn’t think that he had taken it too far and at the same time confident of the fact.
As they kissed, Caleb’s mind exploded in stars and a rush of testosterone fuelled desire. He was happy that she didn’t pull away and hoped it meant that she didn’t think they were going too fast. There was just something about her that made him impatient to play the long game. She almost made him feel out of control, like he was a young teenager again, subject to whatever hormonal whim occurred at the time. Except this time he got to enjoy the surges of emotion, he got to share them with her and he hoped that she enjoyed them just the same. He loved the feeling of her arms around his strong shoulders and he entwined his own hands through her hair, holding her securely in his arms as they shared this stolen moment.
As they broke the kiss, an action that was unwelcome to him, but necessary nonetheless, Caleb was as out of breath and dazed as Jayden seemed. He stared at her, breathing heavily as she gasped her ‘okay’ and he nodded, swallowing. The kiss had blanked his mind and it was on a fairly singular track to begin with. He just watched as she left, his nerves coming back to life, reconciling themselves to the mundane world once more without the fiery Jayden in their grasp.
He stepped out of the closet and into the staff changing area in the gym, quickly showering and changing into simple jeans and t-shirt. He knew he only meant to be at the print works in fifteen minutes time, but he couldn’t stop himself rushing – he knew that he would have to drive around for a while before going to pick her up. Still, it was better than nothing and so he got into his Jag and went the long way around, pulling into the parking lot twelve minutes later. He immediately noticed that girlie little Beetle of hers and even this evoked a little grin from him, which shocked even himself. He was really falling for her as well. Crazy.
He stepped out of his car, checking around to make sure the area was deserted, which it was. Approaching her car, he grinned and started talking, knowing his voice would carry through the thin glass at such close proximity. “I’m three minutes early – would you like me to drive round the block? Or will you take me now?”

Feeling his touch on her lips Jayden felt her heartbeat rise once more. It seemed every time she thought her heart had reached it’s peak, that their situation couldn’t get anymore arousing and risqué, something would to push it all a little further.
With the hush Jayden could understand his caution, but her advanced hearing told her no one was around. Playing her role as a ‘normal’ teen Jayden dropped her tone as he teased her about her car. “My car is a real car. it’s a real woman’s car, men couldn’t handle her.” She teased back, catching his innuendo and smiling. “As for a good ride, we’ll have just have to work with what we have for now.” she smiled mischievously with a touch of innocence, hoping to pass the comment off as innocent banter even if she wanted it to be a little more.
The kiss was so intense, but Jayden felt the need to keep it gently not for fear of been carried away, but a fear of her own strength against a human. No matter how strong Caleb appeared she knew she was still a risk to him and she wouldn’t risk him. No matter how gentle the kiss was it still made her body surge with a million emotions and feelings even her hybrid brain couldn’t control or determine. Her brain said gentle, but it was instinct that pulled her arms around him and desire that had her hold them there enjoying the closeness of their bodies.
Breaking the kiss was the logical action, but not a action she wanted to do so soon. The logic of been caught or going to far spoke loudly in her mind pulling her back to reality and from his arms. The gasp was completely involuntary, but spoke volumes in the silence of the closet.
Vampire space wouldn’t have been quick enough in getting back to Caleb’s arms, though even then she would have had to wait for time to pass till they met.
Sitting waiting in her car playing his teasing words over Jayden smiled. She heard a car approach and footsteps assuming them to be his her smile grew. Hearing his voice, even from inside the car, she turned towards him and rolled the manual window down. “Maybe you should drive around the block and practice fashionable lateness.” She quipped looking up at him with a gentle laugh and smile. “I take you? So we’re going in my car?” She teased wondering if they should take two cars or one and risk been caught?

Caleb continued to smirk down at Jayden in the close space of the equipment cupboard. Considering how much of a shock it had been at the beginning of the day to find out that she was not only a student in the school that he was teaching at, but also one of his personal students, the day couldn’t have ended better. “I’m game for that,” he told her as she informed him that they would have to work with what they had for now. “I’m still not convinced by the Beetle, though… I might actually be looking forward to you showing me what it can do – then I’ll be able to tell what’s the plastic car, and what’s the woman.”
As difficult as it was to keep their separation after the passionate kiss they just shared just that, Caleb understood that they couldn’t risk remaining like this for much longer. He knew it must be getting late and whilst that probably meant that the coach had left already, they could just as easily be interrupted by the janitor. Then things could get very messy – he would get fired, maybe even arrested, the news would get out, making Jayden’s life hell, if she didn’t get expelled and Katie would find out. Yes, that really was not an option.
“Are you kidding?” he joked, leaning his elbows on the open window ledge as she opened it. “I am way too fashionable to need to even think about being fashionably late.” He grinned at her, preening himself a little in a mocking way. His eyes slid down over the car. “Besides, I don’t think you have room to say what’s fashionable in your Barbie car.” He laughed a little and nodded. “I told you I wanted to see how much was the woman and how much the car… besides, no one would ever believe they saw me in this – the perfect disguise.”

In the close confines of the cupboard is was easy to forget about the outside world and the role she was playing as a teenage girl in school now flirting with the gym teachers aid. It was only for a moment she could forget, when he commented on been able to tell what was the girl and what was the woman Jayden felt the illusion crack a little. It wasn’t a matter of human from machine, but more of human from the something else she was hiding. Not been whole of one thing was a scary part to play, treading on a thin line waiting for either side to catch you out. “The car’s just the machine, the drive is all me.” She smiled trying to regain composure of her thoughts and continue the smooth conversation.
Remaining separate from Caleb made it easier to think and remain logical, well somewhat logical. Logic would have had her running from there and reminding her she wasn’t ready to be as close to humans as she was allowing herself to be with Caleb. Logic wasn’t working completely with her, but Jayden did think enough to step back and give them both space even in the tight quarters. “I should go.” She nodded moving towards the door while both missing his touch and finding it easier to think with the distance.
Settling back in her seat Jayden smile as Caleb leaned into the car and joked with her. “Oh you think you’re fashionable, I get it.” She joked back reaching out to gently shove his arm playfully as he preened himself in a joking way. The movement of touching Caleb had never felt alien to her though she still wondered if he felt the temperature of difference in her skin. “My Barbie car?” She question quizzically not understanding the word or association of the word or what it meant.
“Well if you want to see and be completely disguised then you better get in before someone sees you leaning on the plastic car.” she said using his descript of her car from before, but knowing it was far from just a piece of plastic. Jayden turned the key in the ignition and listened to the engine start at a fair lower rev and purr then Caleb’s own mustang. “Come on then and I’ll show you how I drive.” She said confidently.
