Jared’space was rhythmic as he wandered the abandoned streets of the Reservation. The lights in all the windows were out, except for at his house. His mother had a habit of waking up this early on a daily basis for reasons unknown to him. His gray and black swimming trunks hung low on his hips, and the black shirt just covered the drawstring and elastic. It seemed to mold to his body around his pecks and shoulders. He didn’t like shirts that hung too low, they made him feel like he was wearing a dress.
He walked silently through the trees in back of her house, suddenly feeling like some sort of stalker again. He’d been by here the other night, not on purpose, he’d just happened to wander there while in wolf form. As if he were drawn to her even in his day dreams. He picked a few pebbles off the ground and tossed them as lightly as he could toward her window. She’d mentioned her room had a nice view, and he had to assume she was talking about the trees behind her house. He hoped he was right and wasn’t waking up her parents. But he could almost feel her there.
He waited patiently looking up at the window for any sign of her, hoping she hadn’t forgotten and he was waking her up. He adjusted the strap of his backpack, lifting it closer to his neck while he waited. He told her he’d take care of everything and he had looked over the contents in the back at least three times to make sure he held up his end of the bargain.

Kim's stomach had felt like it was in knots from the time she got up. She couldn't believe this was actually happening and still thought maybe it would have all ended up a dream. She worried she'd end up embarrassing herself completely, by saying something stupid or being a complete clutz as they did the yoga. And she knew there was the possibility that Jared might not even show up that morning. Perhaps he had thought better of it and changed his mind. Or maybe he had even forgot about her entirely, she knew she wasn't exactly the most memorable person.
Kim stood in front of the mirror, adjusting her ponytail and smoothing it out a bit, hoping she looked alright. She looked down at her outfit. She had worn a swimsuit as he had requested but she was sure it wasn't anything that would impress him too much. While she would have had the body to wear a bikini, she didn't have nearly enough confidence to show that much skin, so she opted instead for a two piece with a tank top that ended just above her bellybutton showing only about an inch of skin. She kept on a pair of shorter shorts over the swimsuit bottoms as well, thinking they'd be easy enough to do yoga in and would offer her more coverage. She also hoped that the top, having a little more material to it, would keep from any embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions from happening with the strange positions they might be in. She had even bent forward a few times just to be sure that everything stayed in place how it should.
She jumped slightly as she heard the noise of the pebbles against her window. She turned and went over smiling as she saw Jared had actually come and was waiting outside for her. She waved before turning and grabbing the towel she had folded up on the bed, and a small purse before heading out the door. She had already left a note for her parents when they got up letting them know she was headed to the beach.
She went out the front door and around to the back where Jared was waiting for her. "Good Morning" She said with a shy smile. "You sure I didnt need to bring anything else? " She asked before they got too far away from her house.

Jared smiled and waved to her window where he had seen her for the shortest moment. What felt like seconds later she was walking toward him, and he instantly got that soothing feeling. The same one from class. “Good morning” he whispered back. As if speaking would wake up her parents, despite the fact hey were outside. Sometimes he forgot not everyone had his acute hearing. He dropped the back pack off his shoulder and reached for her towel. He pushed it into the bag and zippered it up before throwing onto his back once more. The whole movement was rather fluid from repetition.
“Nope,” he grinned, “I have it all here.” He motioned to his back pack.
They rounded back to the front of the house and Jared made sure to keep his strides measured as he did the day he walked her home for school. “How did you sleep?” he asked her, trying to maintain conversation. He laughed, “Better yet, how was it to have to wake up so early?” Jared was used to it now. Ever since a few weeks ago when he became a wolf he and Sam had been the only two stalking the forest, looking out for the cold ones. He noticed that the more often he had to be scouting the land, the less time he’d have on school work and extracurricular activities like basketball.
It was only a matter of time until he had to quit the team.

"Thanks" Kim replied as he took her towel for her, placing it in his bag. He seemed like such a gentleman. A quality that not many guys these days had. Walking her to and from her home, looking out for her safety in the dark, and now carrying her towel for her and being careful not to wake her parents. She wondered if he actually was trying to impress her, or how much of this was just who he was and how he acted around everyone. She really didn't want to misread any signs, but an invitation to the beach early in the morning, was hard to ignore.
How had she slept? That question was hard to answer. She had tossed and turned most of the night, too nervous and excited to sleep. But she couldn't really tell him that could she? She didn't want to lie to him either, she wasn't too good at lying really. "I slept okay..." She said trying to leave it vague but laughing as he asked how it was waking up so early.
"Honestly, it was a little rough getting up when the alarm went off this morning...at least til I was awake enough to remember that it wasn't because I had to go to school. Then it was more manageable" She said with a smile, knowing that already it was worth it. Even if it went horribly after this, he had shown up and made her day. "Are you usually up this early? Or just do it now to get the empty beach?"
