OOC: I just so happened to come on and see that this was the last post made on the forum! Haha..thanks for answering! I do check this place every couple days, I just don't log in all the time. And this'll be interesting.. my posting has gotten easier for me to get length since I joined this place...oh so long ago..
[/size]Connor was still very tense. Paul couldn't blame him, but he could tell that he was giving a great effort not to let his emotions out. Yup, Connor was definitely part of the pack. He could feel everything about him..like they were connected. After pondering his friend's words for an explanation, Paul answered, Look.. it's not as random as you think. We change like this for a reason.. but let's handle one supernatural creature at a time.. He muttered the last part under his breath. Damn leeches ruin everything.. he thought. Everything has a way with working out. You'll get control before you know it. All it takes is time and practice. Don't feel bad. It's been a while for me and I still don't have the whole 'control' thing down like Sam does. I might be the worst in the pack when it comes to that subject. He wondered how Connor would turn out, whether he would struggle or excell. It all had to do with character and personality and the two were similar in many ways.
About the 'getting stuck like this'.. you don't have to be afraid of that. It's kind of the opposite. If you go long enough without phasing..you give up the ability. That's what Jacob Black's dad and a lot of the other older guys did. But don't try it to get out of this because it won't work.. you can't fight the instinct. You'll be this way until you know you're ready to give it up..until you've done your part. Oh, and don't freak out about losing connection, Wik. You'd have to give it up.. physically and mentally decide to leave the pack. You're a newby , though, I wouldn't do that if I were you. You can't have your own pack..you'd have to be born Alpha. You leave and you're a loner. Paul knew that he was safer with a pack with all the bloodsuckers running around. He sighed and took a breath. He knew it was a lot to take in. What got you to phase, anyway? he asked quietly. The first phase was always drawn by something majorly emotional.
