It was the unusual dreary Saturday afternoon in Port Angeles. Most kids came to see the sun, but this afternoon had decided to pour down rain. Alexandria looked down at the radio with its digital clock, it was only noon. She didn't have to be home until nine but she had no idea what she was going to do. She was hoping the rain would let up.
She turned right, into the parking lot of the local bookstore. Alexandria parked her car outside and headed into the local bookstore. She opened the door and was greeted by the usual bell ringing when she opened the door. She headed down one of the many book aisles, not looking for anything in paticular.
Lexi couldn't help but sigh. She had been living her for four years now and all of her friends had moved out. They used to come to this bookstore all the time to just chill and sometimes grabbed some coffee. She looked up and frowned. She was the only one in the store.
She wondered down another aisle, coming upon the Nicholas Sparks books. She skimmed the titles, thinking of what she had at home.

Angela was having a bit of senioritis. She knew she had a paper due monday, but staying home on a Saturday was the last thing she felt like doing this weekend. Ben was out having a guys movie marathon of kung fu films, something she was happy he had other people to share his interest (letting her off the hook every so often). This left her with the afternoon off and some time on her hands. She thought a nice relaxing day in Port Angeles would be nice. Forks didn't really have a good bookstore (at least not one with as large of a selection as the one in Port Angeles) and Angela really was a bit of a book worm. She smiled as she walked up to the front door of the store, knowing already that she was planning to get a little recreational reading that she could do in the future while avoiding the studies of her last year in high school.
A small bell rang above her as she opened up the front door the store, closing it quietly behind her, not wanting to let it slam. She didn't really have any books in mind to look for and knew that she'd be spending some time just browsing, but she had the day, and what better way to spend it than looking through some books, and doing a little shopping?
She turned down one of the aisles and smiled gently at a girl who was looking at some of the books. She recognized her from school, but thought perhaps she was a year ahead of Angela, though maybe not. She didn't say anything yet, not wanting to disturb her if the girl had come out here to get away and not wanting to talk.

Alexandria looked up when she heard the bell ring. She immeditatly noticed the girl as the girl who works for the school newspaper. She smiled at her sweetly and let her go about her busniess, not sure what she was here for.
Lexi headed down one of the other aisles and happened into the aisle that the girl was in. "Hey..." She said softly, not wanting to disturb anyone else. "You're Angela, right? Photographer for the school newspaper?"

Angela looked up from the shelf as she heard the other girls voice beside her. Angela's face was already in a smile, not minding anyone coming up to talk to her at all. She never really felt bothered by people, though was always careful of disturbing others. From the tentative look on the other girls face she could tell she was probably very similar in that manner. "Hi!" She said in a friendly way.
Angela nodded as the girl recognized her. "Yeah, Angela Weber. And I do most of the pictures for the paper, but I can't claim them all" She said knowing that others on the staff had helped her out before, especially when things happened at the same time that needed coverage, like a football game and a band concert. "You're Lexi right? You graduated last spring didnt you?" She said hoping she wasn't thinking of a different person and insulting her in any way.

Lexi giggled slightly. "I wish! I'm actually a Senior this year too." She smiled at Angela.
"So what are you doing here?" She looked at the books, none of the tiltes relating to any of the others.

"Oh really?!" Angela said surprised and feeling a little guilty that she didn't realize that this girl was in the same grade level as herself. She tried not to forget things like that, but it was easy if you didnt know a person well. She hoped she didnt sound too rude for her mistake. "Sorry about that" She said giving her an apologetic smile.
"Oh I just came here to see if I could find something fun to read that didn't involve college applications or studying for some test" She said with a light laugh. "What about you?"

"Oh, it's nothing to be sorry about. I'm used to it." She smiled at her sweetly.
Alexandria nodded. "About the same as you." She giggled slightly. "I am so tired of Senior year and it's only just begun."
