Emmett seriously had a whole bunch of energy packed in him, but didn't want to run around the house because that would look foolish and silly. However, since it was morning and the sun was shining very lightly through the windows Emmett decided to go see if the other Cullens were around, including Edward and Rosalie because she wasn't in the room when Emmett last looked around. Rosalie was truly an angel to Emmett and he loved every single bit of her even more that she hasn't been acting as bitter around Bella. Emmett then walked down the stairs and sat down on the far end of the couch and just relaxed himself.

Edward had been downstairs in the study, reorganizing some of the books on the shelf when he heard one of his family members descending the stairs. Pausing for a listen, he clearly heard the soft inner workings of his younger (yet bigger) brother's mind and caught his scent. Edward put the last of the books from the row he was working on back on the shelf before heading out to chat with Emmett.
"Good Morning" Edward greeted, though day and night didn't matter so much when you didnt sleep anymore, it still was a nice pleasantry. "You bored already?" He asked him with a slight grin on his face, knowing Emmett always had extra energy to spend. "The day's just starting"

Emmett was laying down again and just laying made the energy in his body just grow and he already had tons of it stored in his big muscles. "Morning to you too Edward. Yeah I guess I am bored, but I'll probably go hunting or just go running because I have a lot of energy. I spent last night laying on my couch upstairs and I read a book. Anyways, what did you do last night Edward?"

Esme was sitting in Carlisle's office when she heard the voices of her two younger "sons" conversing in the living room. She couldn't hear where the others had gotten off to as she had spent the last several hours looking up floor plan after floor plan on the internet for ideas for the next house she wanted to build, wherever it would be that moved to next. Bookmarking a floor plan she liked, she turned off her laptop and made her way to the living room, placing her hands on her hips.
"Bored?" she repeated. "I'm sure there's a sink full of dishes from Jacob and Seth from last night that could be washed or placed in the dishwasher. The latter rarely gets any use as it is. So, if you're looking for something to clear up that boredom..." she trailed off purposely, a chuckle sparkling in her amber eyes.

Emmett then rushed up and walked over to where Esme stood and said "You know what, I think I'll go ahead and do that for ya Esme" and then Emmett walked off. Then Emmett headed into the kitchen and saw that there wasn't too many dishes, that couldn't be done in less than ten minutes. With his vampire speed Emmett began to wash the dishes and eight minutes later he was done and the dishes were all dry. "All done, " Emmett shouted as he came back into the livingroom and smiled at both Edward and Esme.

"I think the dogs need to learn to clean up after themselves, like the plates clean or whatever they do" Edward commented, still not all that happy that Jacob was spending so much time there now, and how close he was with Edward and Bella's daughter. The imprinting thing didnt sit well with him, but he was trying to do his best to cope, knowing he couldn't do anything but accept it really. Seth on the other hand Edward didn't really mind hanging around. The two were actually kind of friends since the whole camping time. He was a good kid.
Edward gave a chuckle as Emmett ran off to the kitchen to take care of the dishes and was back in less than ten minutes. "Slow poke" Edward teased him as he returned, knowing that his brother had done them quicker than any human could, but also knowing speed was one thing that Edward held over his other family members.

Emmett then let out a little laugh as he then turned to look at Edward and then said "Well I may not be faster than you Edward, but I know for sure that I'm stronger than you. It doesn't bother me about Bella anymore because I know she's practically no longer a newborn anymore." Then Emmett said "Who wants to go for a run?" and then he looked at Edward and Esme, but went back and forther between the two of them.

Esme watched the exchange between brothers and smiled as Emmett went off to do the dishes, looking to Edward as she watched his facial features and though she couldn't read his mind like he could theirs she could tell by the way he spoke about "the dogs" cleaning up after themselves that he still didn't feel comfortable about Jacob being around. Granted it was still strange for the other to get used to as well, especially for Alice who had a hard time see their futures when the wolf pack was involved or nearby. However, Esme was getting rather used to their scent which used to be pungent at first and was now quite tolerable; like the smell of human's but without the desire to devour.
"Well, unlike us, Edward, those boys and Leah still need to sleep and they still do patrols to make sure we're okay here. I know it's difficult for you to fully embrace Jacob and the part he'll play in Renesmee's future, but he's a good kid and has her best interests at heart. And you know more than anyone he does not feel anything unseemly toward your little girl other than the desire to be her friend and protector." Rubbing a hand on Edward's shoulder she smiled up at him in a very motherly, knowing way. "I think in a few years you might just come to be very good friends with him."
When Emmett returned ten minutes later and the banter that once again played out between the two males, Esme smirked. "I think I could've done that faster, too," she teased, flashing her bulkier son a toothy grin. As he asked about who wanted to go for a run she looked back and forth between the pair. "I think it might be nice. Me and my boys, bonding over a nice jaunt. I am feeling a bit peckish. I fed a couple days ago, but a deer or two might be nice to tide me over till my bigger hunt."

"I'm just glad not all of the wolves are here because then that would be even more of a mess to clean up" and then Emmett began to think a little. The wolves really weren't that bad in Emmett's mind and their scent used to be really pungent, but ever since Jacob and Renesmee have been spending as much as time together as they can Emmett's grown used to the scent. It's not nearly as pungent, but still smells a little weird. "Well, when you guys are ready I'll meet you outside" and then Emmett laughed a little and then ran outside and into the forest and then began to look around for something easy to score.

"Well those boys should learn to clean up after themselves if we're nice enough to be hospitable" Edward said, though he knew his mother was right. He could read Jacob's mind to know what he was thinking, but that still didnt make it easier for any father to think about the possibility of his daughter getting involved in a deeper relationship with anyone, let alone someone who had tried to steal his reason for existing from him. "In a few years his thoughts towards my daughter might change...I'm not sure that'll make me feel like a good friend of his" Edward said, knowing the types of thoughts Jacob was capable of, from the way Jacob would daydream of Bella around him in the past.
Edward then smirked as Emmett came back and suggested a run, to which Esme added that a snack could be nice as well. Emmett said he'd meet them outside. "I'll give you a head start" Edward called after his brother with a chuckle, knowing if they were running he'd go at a slower more relaxed pace to keep up with his family. Edward stepped back and held out his arm. "Ladies first." He said, his gentlemanly ways still instilled in him from his human life.

"Those boys are nice enough to have helped us in the past and to continue to do so. They didn't have to break their treaty," Esme retorted pointedly, and literally pointing a finger in a very mothery way at Edward. Upon his comment about not liking Jacob as a friend when his relationship with Renesmee developed into something romantic when she became older and understood her destined feelings for him, Esme sighed an unnecessary sigh and smiled assuringly at her son. "Edward, you are a father now. I highly doubt any male suitor looking for your daughter's hand would seem appealing. They are always going to be the bad guy because you'll probably see it as he will be taking your little girl away from you. But Renesmee will always be your daughter, a daddy's girl through and through, literally for all eternity." She smirked. "I think Jacob is probably her best option. You know he'll love her and protect her unconditionally and always place her first above all others. Even himself."
Esme gave a gentle and caring squeeze to Edward's hand and looked toward the open window Emmett had just gone through and smiled appreciatively up at the older "brother" as he told her it was ladies first. "Why thank you," she giggled lightly. Without needing so much as a running start, she sprang her body forward and cleared a good hundred feet, give or take, over a stream before touching down softly to the forrest ground beneath her which groaned with the gentle force in which she landed upon it. She saw Emmett a few yards before her and turned back in a somewhat crouched position to look toward the back of the house for Edward.
With a grin, she looked back at Emmett and called out, "Go!" with a chuckle under her unneeded breath as she began to run gracefully at what would appear to be mach five to the human eye, weaving effortlessly around tree after tree, getting as deep as possible into the thick of the forrest for the larger animals to hunt.
Renesmee had been dancing around picking flowers between her parents' cottage and her Grandpa Carlisle's house when she saw Uncle Emmett whip past. It had been a pretty boring day really; so much so that Nessie found herself wishing she was old enough (and normal enough) to go to school. No one seemed to be doing anything fun that she could join in with, or even doing anything interesting enough to interrupt.
So it didn't matter to her what Emmett was up to. As soon as she saw him race by she perked up with the possibility of having some fun. She dropped her bouquet and took off after her uncle, desperately trying to catch him. Nessie was fast, but she was no match for her full-blooded vampire family members.
"Uncle Emmett! Uncle Emmett! Where are you going? Wait for me!"
As Renesmee ran as fast as her short legs could take her, she heard someone else running behind her, rapidly gaining ground.

Somewhere inside Edward knew that Esme was probably right in everything she was saying. No man, vampire or werewolf would have been good enough for his baby girl. But he had thought fathers were supposed to get years to adjust to the possibility. In his case, he thought if she waited 50-100 years to find that right person, that would've been okay with him, afterall, it worked out well that way for him. Meeting Bella had been well worth the wait and he would've waited another hundered years for her. But having that person be Jacob would always have conflicting thoughts for Edward, with all the history that was there.
Edward smiled back at Esme as she thanked him for his ladies first comment, and gave her a gentlemanly nod "You're welcome" He said watching her take off out the window. He gave both his brother and mother a head start before following after them out the window. He was sure if the other family members figured out what was happening that more may join them.
It wasn't long before he heard the soft voice of his daughter yelling after Emmett. It didnt take the fastest of the Cullens long to catch up to the little girl, a smile already on his face as he fell into rhythm beside her, knowing that Esme would be close behind. "Hey sweetie, don't worry your Uncle may be big but we can catch up if he doesnt slow down"

Emmett was surprised to hear his niece's voice calling out 'Uncle Emmett! Uncle Emmett! Where are you going? Wait for me!' and it made Emmett laugh a little when he heard Edward speak right after her. He must have caught her trying to catch up to Emmett and feeling a little guilty Emmett turned around and ran back to where Edward and Renesmee stood and just looked at Renesmee and then said "You make me feel bad when you don't catch me. So I'm right here Renesmee" and then Emmett tickled Renesmee a little. "Don't ever make yourself worried or some after me like that. All you need to do is call my name and I'll come running back to you Renesmee" and Emmett smiled at her.
Renesmee’s face was already red with exertion (a rare trait in her family) by the time her father caught up with her. Without stopping, she looked up at him with a dimpled grin when he told her they would be able to catch Emmett. She was just about to open her mouth to ask how she could possibly catch her uncle when he was so much faster than her, when Emmett suddenly appeared right in front of them.
She switched her gaze from her father to her uncle, giving him the same smile, and giggled as he tickled her. “Stop it Uncle Emmett!” she cried between laughter. When her giggles subsided she smiled at her uncle again. "Thanks for coming back for me."
She looked back and forth between Edward and Emmett. “What’s going on anyway? And why wasn’t I invited in the first place?” She stuck her bottom lip out in a little pout, but there was a twinkle in her eye to let them know she wasn’t really angry.
