Character Basics
Name: Gabriel Robert Rydell
Nickname: Gabe
Age: 19 (Twilight)
Appearance
Looks: Classically good looking, Gabe stands relatively tall at six-feet, with a rather muscled physique, which he does work on to retain. He has naturally blonde/brown hair which he tends to style in a pretty subtle peak/quiff on his head most of the time, though he occasionally wears it just with a side parting if he's trying to impress someone (like in an interview). He has bright blue eyes and a huge, white-toothed smile. His face is naturally expressive, with endearing crinkles and creases when he smiles.
Clothing-wise, Gabe it pretty casual, opting mostly for jeans and t-shirts, though he does like the odd shirt and can and does scrub up very well.
Scars, tattoos, other marks: ---
Portrayed by: Aaron Tveit
Personality and Stats
Basic Personality:
To be honest, Gabe can sometimes not be a good friend to have. He's a little arrogant, especially about his future (despite the fact that he's having to repeat his senior year) and isn't afraid of getting into a scrap, though he usually has a good reason (to him) for it. He's not exactly the most responsible guy you will ever meet, but as far as he can see it, he's still young and has more than enough time to be responsible when he gets old and is successful. However, he is also extremely loyal and unfaltering in his affection for those that earn it, with a romantic streak the is pretty surprising.
His main love is for the performing arts and can often be found hanging around the drama department at Forks High. With his tenor voice, confidence and acting abilities he expects to take Broadway by storm one day. He's not exactly well-up on all the old musicals and such, but he knows what's hot and what's not - though he would probably not admit this lightly.

History:
Birthplace: Forks, Washington
Family: Mother: Alice Rydell; Father: Robert Rydell
Friends: ---
History:
Born in Forks, Washington, Gabriel's parents, Alice and Robert lived the small-town life for a good few years, bringing up their only son quietly. However, by the time he was age 5, the relationship had broken down, with Robert moving to New York, taking his son with him whilst Alice tried to rebuild her life in the smaller town.
Here Gabe lived for a good many years, becoming used to the rush and noise of the Big Apple. His dad went through a fair few girlfriends, bringing them to their apartment and Gabe was taught from an early age how to treat women with respect, even if none of them were ever 'the one'. He also got taken to a lot of shows, living within accessible distance from Broadway, which is where he learned his love of performing. His dad, completely supportive of his son's interest, enrolled him in vocal classes and some acting classes too. However, even in the community theatres, competition in the big city was fierce for parts and Gabe mostly relied on singing recitals - his voice being by far his greatest asset even from a young age.
When Gabe was sixteen, he got word from his mum, who he had seen pretty regularly over his youth, though never for long enough to get bored of the tiny town. She told him of how she had gotten out of another relationship - which he actually hadn't been aware of - and was feeling a bit down. Now, having a strong protective streak, coupled with the fact that his dad was away on business like every week, Gabe took it upon himself to pick up sticks and move home.
The move went surprisingly smoothly, the school accepting his transfer papers, his mum making ready his room. What he had been a little naive in expecting though, was the boredom. He had always had a... mischievous streak, but since moving to Forks this has grown into something more approaching 'troublemaker'. He can sometimes think he's superior to these small-town folk he's around, and barely bothers with the academic side of school. This led to his failing senior year the first time around, though seen as he wants to get into college to study the fine arts, he is putting a bit more effort into his repeat senior year (Twilight).
