Pain... she new that feeling all too well... a couple of months ago life was perfect for Raven. She was captain of the cheerleading squad, she had a boyfriend that she loved very much, and a twin sister who saw her as a role model. But all of that changed the day that her father was killed in in a routine training mission. And then no more then a few days later her mother hung her self beside her fathers grave.
After the death of her parents, Raven picked up a life of sin, she used her body to get the money she needed to take care of her sister. She would dance in various strip clubs, give provate dances and even do bachlor parties when needed. But when she didn't make enough money from dancing, she used her body in other ways, namely prostiution.
And on one specific night thinking he was just your average John, Raven went back to a hotel with a gentleman whom was dressed all in black. To say the least in her mind he was very attractive. Once they reached the room, being the typical prostitute, she slipped off her jacket revealing the sexy low cut dress that she had on. After revealing her dress, the next thing she new of was waking up later the next day face down on the bed naked. She lifts her head and brushes long red hair from her face, everything looked so clear to her.
After getting dressed a craving soon hit Raven, a craving in which she couldn't control. Having called her boyfriend to come meet her at the hotel, he thought they were gonna make love. But instead Raven ended up killing him, after the blood lust wore off, and her head begin to clear. Raven looked at her boyfriend on the bed and a loud scream ripped from her lips. She had just killed the man that she loved, the man who had been there through everything, the man whose blood was flowing through her veins.
Now shaking the memory free of her head, Raven drove down the rode, the moon shining brightly above her. Since it's night time, she has lowered the top on her shiny black mustang, and the wind blows her long red hair. She passes a green road sign that says Port Angeles 15 miles, she sighs bit and continues to navigate the car along the narrow streets. Her once brown eyes which sparkled are now red with her new found blood lust. A lust which she desperatly wanted to control but hadn't been able to figure out just how to control it.
About a hour later she pulls into the address of her new home which she had put a huge down payment on. Thanks to the insurance money from her parents which she recieved before fleeing her home. Raven gets out of her car and looks at the rather rustic looking home that she found up in the woods. She smiles abit, and picks up the few bags she brought as well as the key. Before she makes her way up to her home, once inside she turns on the lights seeing the house is fully furnished exactly like she had asked.
She makes her way through her new home before placing her bags in the master bedroom. She stands there looking around before a knock is heard at her front door. Who could be knocking, she didn't know anyone here and no one knew she was arriving or did they.

Edward had been overly cautious about Bella's safety ever since they had returned from Italy. Every moment he wasnt by her side he was worried for her safety and doing everything in his power to keep her safe, even from afar. Her father's grounding punishment had made it so that some points of the day he had to be away from her, there was no sneaking around it. That night Charlie had plans to take Bella out to dinner then the two of them were going to watch tv at home. It would be hours before Charlie was in bed and Edward could sneak into the room.
He had expanded the perimeter that he kept watch over and made one of his occaisional trips to Port Angeles to make sure that there were not hintings there that the Volturi might be making an appearance anytime soon. Seattle would be saved for the weekend. He had been in Port Angeles only about 20 minutes when he picked up the scent of a vampire. Edward tracked it out of the city to an area up in the woods, away from the rest of the town. What surprised Edward was that it ended with a house. Standing outside he listened trying to read the minds of any humans that might be inside to determine if they were in danger. But there was no smell or human voices from inside, just the slight creaking of the boards beneath the stealthy vampires feet, inaudible to human ears.
Edward knocked at the front door. He knew he had to know why they were here, and make sure they didnt pose a threat to Bella, or to his family. He hoped it wouldnt turn into a fight, but knew he'd take it there if necessary.

Hearing the knock at the door Raven quickly turned to face the sound. Why would anyone be knocking on her door? Why would anyone want to follow her into the woods too her home? She came here to get away from everything. Raven stands back wondering if she should open the door or should she just hide and let the person come to her. If its a clumsy human she could have a little late night snack, dump them in the ocean and be done with it. But what if it wasn't? What if her sister had followed her here?
Raven brushes her long red hair from her face, and runs her tongue seductivly over her lips. She adjusts her tight black leather pants, before she slides her hands slowly up over her hips to adjust her black corset. She slowly slides her hands back down over her hips before she leans over and adjusts her boots. Once she is done, Raven tosses back her long red hair, a sexy little grin finds its way upon her lips. She slips on a pair of sunglasses just incase it is a human, and adjusts her hair once more.
Once she is done she makes her way through the house towards the front door, she stops and turns on the hall light, illuminating the room in its soft glow. She continues to smile the smile of a seductress as she crosses the room almost as if she is floating on a cloud. Once she reaches the door, she turns the nob and pulls the door open to see the younger man standing infront of her. Raven allows her red eyes to roam slowly over the man infront of her before she begins to speak.
"May I help you sir?"

Edward's instinct told him to attack the vampire in front of him. Edward was fast and he had Jasper's training. Without warning he felt the female vampire would have stood no chance. It would have been simpler that way. Eliminate the threat before it became a threat to Bella. He wouldn't let another situation arise like it had with Victoria. But there was a nagging voice of a conscience that told him not to attack unprovoked, and the voice in his head sounded a lot like Carlisle's. His father had taught him to be more civilized than his instincts were currently providing him as he looked into the eyes of the woman. Carlisle had taught him that being a vampire didn't mean giving up all human decency and giving in to the animal instincts. Being a vegetarian was proof of that. So for his father's sake, he restrained himself, determined to find out more about this woman before causing a problem. The Cullen family had made many vampire friends throughout the years, even those who didnt share their diet and lifestyle, mostly due to Carlisle's diplomacy and compassionate nature. If Edward could summon even half of that now, perhaps this woman could be an ally and not an enemy. As long as she didnt come near Bella, or risk exposing his family, she would pose no threat and he wouldn't care what she did.
"Good Evening Ma'am, I apologize if I'm coming at a bad time" Edward began, staying on guard, but trying to use all of the manners he was taught, both by his human mother and his vampire father. "My name is Edward Cullen...I thought it would be good to come introduce myself. "

Raven looks the man over infront of her she could tell by the pale skin that he was a vampire. She didnt see any read eyes so this must mean he didnt drink blood. Ordiniarly if she felt threatened she would attack but for some reason she didnt feel threatened. She didnt know weather or not it was a good reason or a bad reason but she knew that the man infront of her could probably sense that she was a vampire and he was probably trying to tell if she was bad or good. Raven hooks her fingers into the belt loops of her tight hip hugger jeans with the chains hanging off them as she speaks.
"Its a pleasure to meet you Mr Cullen... My name is Raven Calloway my friends call me Rave or Cali. I actually just moved into town so how did you know I was here."
Raven brushes her long red curls from her face she knew the vampire infront of her had a motive for being here she just didnt know what it was. She wanted to make sure that she didnt say or do anything to provoke him. The last thing she needed right now was a fight or a angry vampire looking to kill her.

Edward could sense the female vampire in front of him assessing her. He heard her thoughts of not feeling threatened, something he was relieved he had been able to convey despite how anxious he was feeling over the situation. She wasn't reacting in any threatening way towards him either yet, which he took as a good sign, and she wasn't planning out any attack on him. She instead just seemed a bit curious as to what he was doing here. Well, that made two of them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you as well Ms. Calloway" He said, hoping in time their family might be considered on friendly enough terms to call her Rave or Cali.
"My family and I live nearby...we have a permanent residence set up" He began explaining. "I frequently make trips out this way, for one reason or another, and picked up on your scent" He admitted to her. "I'll be honest, the last time my family encountered a small group of vampires passing near our residence, they caused a bit of a problem for us...I'm hoping I could get to know you a little better perhaps and we could come to an understanding so that the same thing doesn't happen here" He said trying to remain as unthreatening as possible, but at the same time not seem weak.

Raven looks down at the floor for a moment hearing the word family brought back so many memories of her family. Some were good, while others she just wanted to forget all together. She wanted to forget the memory of her father, the once brave man that he was, the man who had chased away the bad monsters that had threatened her sleep when she was a child. Lay dead in a coffin while her mother was burried beside of him having taken her own life obviously not able to live with out her husband. Her baby sister that she had used her body to put food on he table for to keep her alive now just a distant memory that she would never see again. Her boyfriend whom she had killed because she couldn't control the blood lost. She takes a deep breath and looks back up at Edward, she brushes her hair from her face before she speaks.
"I know what you are Edward, so why the formalities you can call me Raven, Ms Calloway makes me seem so old."
Raven says those words before tossing her long black hair which has a couple of white streeks running through it over her shoulder. She could see the tension in Edward, he obviously thought she was some kind of threat to him and his family. But really what she wanted was to find the guy who bestowed this upon her and kill him. She didn't want to live like this, she didn't want to drink the blood of humans. She wanted to be a normal teenager, and do normal teenager things. But she would never be normal ever again and she knew that. Breaking free of her thoughts, Raven runs her tongue over her ruby red lips, she looks up at Edward before she begins to speak.
"I didn't come here to cause any trouble for you and your family Edward. Infact I'm the only one here, I dont know who my creator is, I killed my boyfriend because I couldn't control my blood lust. Both of my parent's died 3 weeks apart, and my baby sister now lives with her grandparents. I came here to start over, maybe find the bastard who bestowed this upon me and rip his heart out. Other then that I dont really have any other hidden agenda Edward."

Edward gave a half smirk at Raven's remark that calling her Ms. Calloway made her seem so old. That was the thing with their kind, it wasn't always easy to spot how old one of them was, unless they were acting irrationally as a newborn. She could be close to her human age right now, or a couple hundred years old for all he knew at the moment. "Thank you Raven. I didn't mean anything towards your age, only an old habit of respect towards a new acquaintance" He told her with a genuine smile. Carlisle would be proud of him for his manners. Even among the humans he had gotten used to displaying such manners so that all of Forks would believe that Esme and Carlisle had taught their foster children well, even as a 'young' couple themselves. He would never want to call into question their ability to be parents.
Edward kept his mind open to listening to her thoughts, the memories that flashed into her mind were quick but he picked up on them. Death in association to his mention of the word family, but the fact that there wasn't pride or happiness with those memories gave Edward hope that she was a reasonable type with a conscience. She didnt seem to want to be a vampire anymore than he did really.
He listened to her explanation of what she she was doing here and gave a nod. "I believe you" He told her, grateful that she hadn't come here looking to start trouble, and there was no hint that she had been sent by Victoria or the Volturi to watch them either. "I am truly sorry about your situation. I can also give you my assurance that my family and I will not cause unnecessary trouble for you, as long as you're not attracting unwanted attention to yourself while staying here. "

"I'm not here to cause you or your family any trouble Edward... Before I was changed I had everything I wanted in life... I had my mother... my father... my sister and a boyfriend who loved me more then life it self."
Raven looks down at the floor for a moment she brushes her long black hair from her face. She takes a seat on the edge of the sofa and closes her eyes for a moment. Everything begins rushing back to her, her fathers death, her mothers death, her boyfriend laying lifeless on the bed. She quickly opens her eyes once more and she lifts her head and looks at Edward before she begins to speak.
"I lost everything I ever cared about in this world, my dad, my mom, my boyfriend, and i've lost my sister for good. I never asked for this life, I never wanted it, I just wanted to grow up, marry the love of my life, have children and live my life to the fullest. But theres no happiness for me Edward, I'm nothing more then a monster a monster that no one cares about."
Raven soon stands up and looks over at him, she brushes her hair from her face once more before she begins to speak in a soft voice.
"If I wanted to become more like you Edward, do you think your family would help me. I know I have certain urges that I'm trying to control but I need help."

Edward understood her pain as she described what she had hoped to have in life, marriage, a family, happiness, anything but being a monster. It was what he had wanted too. As a human he had wanted all of that. And it was what he missed most after becoming a vampire, something he had never wanted either. Since meeting Bella things had certainly changed a bit, but it didnt change those longings for a normal life with her that would never be possible because he was a vampire.
"I don't think there were many of us who wanted a life like this" Edward said honestly. He had met many vampires who enjoyed being what they were, but most of them never had a choice in what they became.
"My family would help you in any way we could" Edward said, confident that he could speak for the majority of his family in that sense. Carlisle and Esme for sure would at least be willing to help someone wishing a different lifestyle than that of a monster. "Being what we are, and resisting our urges isn't easy. Its still difficult, for all of us. But we can give you support and guidance. You don't have to deal with this life alone"

"Thank you for your kindness and I would love to give it a try... But am I really worth helping? I killed the man that I love... I heard his heard as it slowly stopped beating. I felt his last breath... Killers dont deserve second chances and they dont deserve help. But I'm willing to try anything atleast once and if i cant do it... well atleast I tried right..."
Raven says those words as she brushes her long blakc hair from her face. She could feel the urge creeping up inside of her to go hunt. She was thirsty and if she didn't go hunt soon it could turn into a disaster if she made a move to attack Edward. She soon runs her tongue over her baby pink lips, she allows her eyes to roam over the man in front of her before she speaks.
"Thank you for atleast keeping me company even though you thought I was here after someone you care about... But I really must bid you adiu, the thirst is calling my name and I must appease it. I'm sure you can find your own way out and please dont follow this is something I must do..."
She reaches up around her neck and removes the locket that she wears which has her picture and her sisters picture in it. She never wore it when she hunted it was the last thing she had of her human self. She opens the locket up and looks at the pictures inside for a moment before she sets it down on the table and exits the house leaving Edward standing ther watching her retreating figure.
