Here are a few notes to help you in the creation of your standard vampire, vegetarian vampire and newborn vampire characters. We expect everyone to think out their character fully, to give them a purpose and drive to their storylines.
If you are considering a non-vegetarian vampire:
Please remember that the lust for human blood is incredible, even for seasoned vegetarians, so it would be impossible for a standard vampire to:
Other factors that would make it highly difficult for a standard vampire to be in constant contact with humans:
Other issues:
If you are considering a vegetarian vampire:
NOTE: We are not accepting any vegetarian vampires at this time.
The main consideration here is the population level within the RPG. This has now become an administrated issue, because of the following reasons:
If you are considering a newborn vampire:
Here we mostly ask you to focus upon:
Please note that Hybrid Vampires are not allowed in this game.
We are no longer accepting Vampires who are related, or who knew each other as humans, as this would be an extremely rare situation, given the difficulty of turning a human.
NB: These are guidelines only, not rules. If there is a good reason why you character goes against them, then they will be accepted into the game!
If you are considering a non-vegetarian vampire:
Please remember that the lust for human blood is incredible, even for seasoned vegetarians, so it would be impossible for a standard vampire to:
- Attend Forks High School
- Have a job interacting with humans in the town
Other factors that would make it highly difficult for a standard vampire to be in constant contact with humans:
- Eye colour - we have been told, in Breaking Dawn, that coloured contact lenses can only withstand the vampire venom for a few minutes at a time and crimson is not a common eye colour!
- Motive - why would an eternal being that has the potential to fit in anywhere make themselves an average high school student in a small town? Their foodstuff is in short supply in Forks - people would notice if just a couple of people went missing, so why wouldn’t they choose a big city?
- The Cullens - they are widely recognised throughout the vampire world as an abnormally large coven, powerful and dangerous to their enemies. Why would a lone vampire antagonise them without due cause by being in Forks (their territory)?
Other issues:
- Age - we are currently not accepting any vampire - standard or otherwise - that is under the age of 15. Anything below this we consider to be in the realm of Immortal Children, which the Volturi ensure are destroyed. Please also consider the fact that vampires this young are extremely rare. We’ll always be overrun by the forever young, but don’t shy away from the forever middle-aged, or the forever old!
- Appearance - all vampires, without exception, must follow Meyer’s guidelines from the books: pale, shadows, literally and unintentionally statuesque.
If you are considering a vegetarian vampire:
NOTE: We are not accepting any vegetarian vampires at this time.
The main consideration here is the population level within the RPG. This has now become an administrated issue, because of the following reasons:
- Obscurity - the number of vegetarian vampires in the world is tiny. The number of vampires currently drinking human blood that want to be vegetarian is smaller.
- Location - the Cullens and the Denalis are the only large groups of vegetarian vampires known in Forks and Alaska, respectively. Our RPG is set around these groups, it is unlikely that more vampires would stumble upon the groups and embrace their way of life so readily.
If you are considering a newborn vampire:
Here we mostly ask you to focus upon:
- Your character’s personality. You may know that your character is really a rose among thorns, but as a newborn you have to exaggerate every single emotion. If they get annoyed, they get furious; if they’re happy, they’re ecstatic. It may not be your character’s ’true’ personality, but it is a characteristic of being a newborn vampire.
- Bloodlust - to a newborn, their bloodlust is everything. It is undeniable, ruling out human friends etc.
