History:
Veikko was born to a upper class family in Finland. His father was a judge in one of the upper level courts. Veikko had a good upbringing, having the finest education as well as learning appreciation of things such as the arts. He had begun his education studying law thinking one day he might follow in his father’s footsteps and be a lawyer. He was well aware of his family’s status and it was something he wanted to ensure he was able to continue to maintain. He was proud of his status, and began getting tattoos in his early 20’s as a show of status. Higher class men in Europe during this time often got tattoos and would show them off to each other over dinner or meetings. He wore these as if they were an almost coat of arms.
He was on the way back from the courthouse one day when he was attacked by a man who he believed to be a robber. He felt something pierce the top of his shoulder and then his neck and believed himself to have been stabbed. Very little of the rest of the struggle did Veikko remember, however he remembers the servant from his house being around afterwards, saying that the attacker must have left him for dead (the vampire having believed he heard the heart stop pre-maturely). The servant took Veikko home to recover from the massive blood loss. The pain from the transformation was excruciating but when it was over, he ended up killing those who had been attending to him. When he realized what had happened he left his home before his family would return. While he didn’t feel wrong for having killed the others, he still did not wish to end his own parents’ lives.
Veikko enjoyed his newfound strength and powers, quickly adapting to the lifestyle of a vampire. He became a nomad for the first few decades of his new existence, traveling around and meeting others like himself to learn more of his history. He began to think this was even better than the high class status he had before, but there was only one thing that would be better – to be Volturi, royalty amongst the immortal. He made it his mission to become a member. He traveled to Volterra and worked to do everything possible to impress Aro, Caius and Marcus. He offered his services as aid to them whenever needed. He proclaimed his loyalty to them without asking, and he strictly obeyed their laws, even turning in a few newborns who were acting reckless. After some time of this, despite not having any extra abilities they sought out, his loyalty earned him a spot. He is still new to the Volturi, but is proud to be one of them.
