“Yeah, I guess it doesn’t really sound all that fun,” she laughed. Isabelle stared back down at her shoes as they continued walking, and smiled when he asked if she had siblings. “I have Quil, he’s like a brother, but we’ve kind of grown apart lately, he’s always super busy,” she admitted, the smile fading as she spoke. “So, I’m pretty much on my own, until my summers, than I’m usually with my cousins in Rio,” she said with a nod as if she were verifying the information in her head. If it weren’t for the memories of her mother here on the Rez than she would have tried to talk her Dad into letting her stay with her cousins, or run away.
“Do you,” she asked, “I mean have any brothers and sisters?” She huffed when he said she should fit in or there was something wrong with the people there. Out of the two friends she had here one didn’t even know she was attending. And the other, her best friend, was pulling a disappearing act that was resembling the first friends dismissal. She seriously doubted anyone would stick around her, she seemed to repel people.
Isabelle’s eyes glistened when he offered her his company if she should ever be lonely. “I’ll give you my number before school ends,” she offered, “that way if you get lonely first I won’t be disrupting anything,” she grinned. He was so sweet, she couldn’t help but smile. He was like a beacon of hope for the shy new girl at a school full of unknowns.
She giggled when he made the x over his heart, and tried to hide the blush in her cheeks by moving the part in her hair. Her chestnut brown loose locks spilled onto her shoulder and covered most of the pale pink that was storming toward the edge of her tanned skin.

"Quil?" Leo repeated the name, thinking it was an unusual one. He figured he must not have met the guy, he'd remember a name like that. "Does he go to school here? Or was he home schooled too?" He asked her, feeling surprisingly jealous of this guy Quil who she had already known and felt close to. He wanted to be that guy, even though they just met. The only upside was when Isabelle had said they had grown apart. Leo knew that was a terrible thought that he was secretly relieved about that. He wanted what was best for her, but he wanted that to be him.
"Rio? You're Brazillian?" He asked her, thinking that was really cool and feeling embarrassed for not having noticed before. "Thats really awesome! I'd love to see a place like that some day"
"Me, yeah, 3 sisters. I swear my house is filled with estrogen. Had to get a male dog just to try to even it out" He said somewhat jokingly but with some truth to it. "All younger sisters, but one only by a couple minutes" He said, his face lighting up a little as he spoke about his family. They meant so much to him. "Her name's Matt, you might run into her too, she's nice"
Leo's heart started racing as she told him that she'd give him her number. "Yeah! I'll give you mine too!" he said feeling excited about life for what he realized was the first time since the transformation into the wolf. He had felt so hopeless, and withdrawn but now he was exchanging numbers with the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. "And dont worry, you'd never be disrupting anything, you can call anytime, or even just drop by"
Leo watched her movements as she adjusted her hair, spilling over her shoulders. She was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life. He made a promise to himself that he wouldn't mess this up.

Isabelle nodded and looked to her new found friend. Her new found very attractive friend, she smiled meekly as if she’d said the words aloud. “No, he goes to school here, my mom and his mom were childhood friends,” she smiled offering the information almost too willingly. It was true she wasn’t the greatest at hiding emotion or filtering her words before they formed sentences she’d easily be embarrassed of, but this was different. There was almost an inexplicable need to tell him everything.
“Half, my mother was Quilette,” she beamed. The mention of her mother brought a smile to her face but the fact he seemed excited about her birthplace only made the smile that much brighter. “It’s really pretty, and the culture is very different, you learn to miss it when you’re away,” she admitted. The family she had over there had loved her mother, and so they treated her like one of their own, which was more than she could say about her dad.
Isabelle laughed, “Yeah you’re not kidding.” She always wished she had a sister, but being a boy in a house full of girls sounded like torture. After all girls had a way of making you play the most un-masculine games when they were in groups. Like house, and pretty, pretty princess.
The girl only smiled at the mention of his sister Matt, not knowing what else there was to say. She wouldn’t voice the fact she hoped the girl would like her, she was in desperate need for a female friend. She giggled, the excitement in his voice was cute. But, she didn’t understand how she had brought him to that level, after all she wasn’t little miss popular, or cheerleader Chelsea. She was just little Issy the new girl.
She heard the crinkling of the paper in he hands and looked down suddenly remembering they were supposed to be looking for something. “Oh right, where are we heading?” she asked trying to pay attention to the numbers on the doors again.

“Oh, well at least now you know two people here already. That seems like a good start” Leo told her, still feeling a bit of jealousy knowing that she already had a male friend who was also attending this school. But Leo wouldn’t worry about that now. He just had to get her to like him, afterall he was the one who was with her now, not Quil.
“Oh yeah? My mother’s Quileute too, my father’s Makah…not quite as exotic as your heritage, but we’re both half and half” He said with a smile, trying to look for any similarities they might have. He was sure he was seeming like a complete idiot to her now. He couldn’t figure out why he was having so much more trouble talking to her than any other girl he met. He felt comfortable around her, so that wasn’t’ the problem but he just felt such a strong urge to make things perfect between them that he was nervous of screwing up.
Leo got caught up watching her, seeing her smile and let out a soft giggle. She was mesmerizing and he’d enjoy watching her every day of his life. He looked down at the papers as she brought them up. “Oh right…I am supposed to be doing a job here, sorry I’m being such a poor tour guide so far.”
