Character Basics
Name: Matilda Stone
Nickname: Matt (Never Tilly. Ever. Only Leo could ever get away with it, but if he did it now, then she would probably slap him.)
Age: 17 (in Eclipse)
Appearance
Looks: Like her brother, Matilda was always very tall and lean for her age. She had kept pace with him until his recent freakish growth spurt, but as soon as he left six foot, he left her behind. She has always been rather (unfairly) athletic looking, and builds muscle without much effort, though she doesn’t do much to encourage it. She also shares her brother’s tan skin and she keeps her dark hair long and naturally wavy. Her face is softer than Leo’s angles. Dress wise, she is very casual and hates to have to dress up in formalwear.
Scars, tattoos, other marks: None to note
Portrayed by: Holly Marie Combs
(Unless someone can find a better look alike )
Personality and Stats
Basic Personality: Matilda has never really stood out from any crowd, except when people first hear her somewhat unusual name. She had always tended to hide behind her brother’s outgoing personality. Though she was always comfortable in any given situation, she was never really charismatic enough to be considered ‘outgoing’. That was fine up until Leo changed on her. She also shares her brother’s penchant for sarcasm, though he is much better at it then she, or so she thinks. She is open and honest about all things, though she can get rather defensive whenever something strikes a chord, such as Leo’s recent mood swings. Matilda is fiercely protective of her brother and loves him immensely. She doesn’t really believe in any of the mythical rubbish that most teen girls tend to fall into at some point, but she couldn’t help but believe that she had a special connection with her twin. Since Leo’s transformation, of which she is ignorant, Matilda has lost some of her cool, displaying frustration more frequently, but this is almost solely because she feels she is losing the person she was closest to.
Species: Human (her brother got all the wolfy genes)
Abilities: None
Occupation: Student on the Reservation
Car: None
History:
Birthplace: Makkah Reservation
Family: Parents, 2 younger sisters ages 8 and 13, and her lovely twin brother, Leo
Friends: Some kids at school, but she has become pretty much of a loner recently. She had considered Leo her best friend - pathetically enough.
History: Matilda’s mother was from the Quileute tribe, whilst her father was a Makkah. They visited each of the reservations frequently for as long as Matt could remember, though their first home was on Makkah land. She moved to La Push with Leo and the rest of the family when their grandfather was taken sick.
With her brother, she joined the school at La Push, in junior year, where she has slunk around in the background, content to just get the two years over with. It was months earlier, back on the Makkah Reservation, that she could pinpoint the moment when she lost her brother. She had sat at the dinner table, waiting for Leo to return with one of their sisters, who had run off, a strange feeling of apprehension in her gut. As the hours rolled on and their sister returned, the strange feeling became full on nausea and migraine. She excused herself to bed that night, though she stared out the blackened window, wishing her brother to return. He didn’t, though, not for a full week. And when he did it was with some lame excuse that she, and probably the rest of the family, knew was rubbish. She had tried to get the truth out of him, but it was unforthcoming.
Since that point, Matilda shrank back from him a little, becoming more cut off and feeling betrayed. She just couldn’t understand what had gotten into him and thought that perhaps he was growing out of the strong sibling bond, which she didn’t quite feel ready to break completely. At La Push High, Matilda feels a little like an outsider, considering that most of the kids had been there since birth, but she is quite content with her roll as a wallflower.
