(OOC: Approximately one years post Breaking Dawn)
The rain was falling lightly through the dense canopy of leaves as Jayden made her way deeper into the woods. The light sprinkling of precipitation that felt good and refreshing on the exposed skin of her arms, Jayden walked the woods in a vest and jeans trailing her jacket besides her. Jayden didn’t worry about been seen she doubted anyone would be in the woods while the weather was this terrible and if any human was near by she knew she would hear them, if not smell them, before they came too close.
A roll of thunder broke overhear and Jayden tried hard to listen if the Cullens were playing baseball in this perfect weather for their sport. In the past years since arriving in Forks Jayden had grown closer to the Cullen Family then she would have thought possible, since the birth of Reneesme Jayden had finally realized she wasn’t alone in been a half breed; Hybrid.
A flash of yellow lighten struck across the sky just out of view above the leaves, but it lit the forest in an eerie glow for a few seconds. Jayden stepped out in to a shallow clearing as the light return to a glow and the rain began to fall hard. The rain now struck her exposed skin with more force, now instead of feeling refreshing the rain was more of a an awakening.
Jayden had entered the woods to walk and think she felt no thirst having hunted just the day before, she had no desire to hunt and feed. Heading out into the woods Jayden’s only thought had been to not be still, she wanted to be outside and in the open; freedom. Halting in the clearing Jayden turned her head up to the falling rain letting each sheet cover her face, feeling it run down her cheeks and nose and bounce off to continue its journey to the ground. It was cold, even with the chill of her skin she could feel its temperature difference, but it felt good. It was a cleansing, a cleaning. Hayden, her father had always told her that the rain was Mother Nature’s way of cleaning the slate of the world. Standing still and listened Jayden wondered if it was true.
Thinking back over the past years and all that had changed in Jayden’s life and world she couldn’t help but wonder if she would want any of it to be wiped clean; Jayden liked the way her life slate was decorated, even if all its mistakes.
The wild was blowing away from her carrying her scent, a move Jayden would never make while hunting. Slipping her coat around her shoulders Jayden carried on across the clearing and stepped back under the cover of the tree, the droplets slowing back to a drizzle now filtered through the leaves. Crouching down and leaning her back against the tree Jayden looked out in to the clearing. If anyone saw her she would merely be a walker caught in a down pour, in truth she just enjoying the rain, the out doors and the freedom.

Blake was wandering through the woods, dressed in jeans, a black shirt, leather jacket and boots. He spent most of his time out in the middle of nature now, away form the big cities where it was too easy for someone to spot him and see what he was. He was fast enough that if there wasn’t anyone hiking or camping near where he was, he could head into the more densely populated areas of Seattle pretty quickly, but this time he had ventured out further, near one of the smaller towns that had a larger area of forest.
Today was one of the days when he didn’t have to think about being spotted in the sunlight. The rainclouds provided the perfect cover from the sun and made today an ideal day for him to be out strolling. However with the rain he also knew that he may have to go closer to the town to find someone, as there probably weren’t a lot of hikers out in this kind of weather. He looked around through the trees, trying to judge which direction from where he was standing would lead him to a straggler the quickest, as the thirst was already building, his normally crimson eyes with a blackish tint to them. Although Blake was no longer a newborn and was able to think of other things now besides the blood, he still couldn’t go very long between feedings, and the truth was, that he didn’t want to. He got too much pleasure and satisfaction from satisfying that urge.
As he headed along through the trees he picked up the scent of someone close by. He grinned realizing he had lucked out that someone had been alone out here. He closed his eyes listening carefully, hearing the direction that the heartbeat was coming from. It wasn’t far from his current position. The venom already started seeping through the back of his throat in anticipation of the kill ahead of him. He knew it was only a matter of minutes before the blood would be soothing the dry ache that was developing.
Blake ran over to the area where the woman was, stopping several feet away from her, leaning against a tree. “Haven’t you heard its not safe to be wandering the woods alone” He smirked hearing the heartbeat even louder as he got closer. He moved from his spot at the tree and started walking slowly towards her. “But lucky for you, you don’t have to worry about making that mistake again”

Had she been human the footfalls coming closer to her would have gone unheard, however her vampire hearing picked up the visitor within a few seconds of sitting down. Jayden followed his quick movements through the forest as he came closer to where she was sitting. What did he hear and see, Jayden wondered. Was she that human to those eyes that watched?
Jayden listened hard and subtly sniffed the air, the scent was vampire; traditional vampire. The smell was different from those of the Cullens and even that of herself, more feral, raw. The scent on the air was blown on the wind, and aside from been a traditional vampire Jayden was sure it was a male.
Her watcher had stopped, Jayden heard him come to a halt a few feet from her, but she didn’t look towards him. Jayden couldn’t decide if she was playing up to the appearance the other vampire saw her, or if she was curious as to what he would do next; did she want to be human to the watcher? She was trapped no matter how she looked at it, Jayden wasn’t sure what the outcome would be if this came to a fight.
There was little time to think as the male vampire approached and spoke to her, his voice was smooth and tempting as he spoke from beside the tree. It was a shock to hear him actually speak to her that she turned in shock to face him her face a picture of blankness. As he came closer to her Jayden rose steadily, but with grace; it was a far better position to defend herself should the need arise.. “What mistake?” She asked cocking her head to one side as she spoke. “I like the woods like this. The emptiness, the rain, the solitude.” She smiled holding her ground and looking square at him.

Blake started grinning as she rose as acted calmly asking him what mistake she had made. “Being here alone, in the woods, in the solitude…hasn’t anyone ever told you how dangerous it can be, the wild beasts that roam” He said, carrying a seductive tone to his voice. He had learned quickly after being turned that humans seemed attracted to the features he possessed, whether it was his looks or his voice. It would help lure them in.
Blake continued walking over towards her at a slow pace. He moved slow even for humans. He could feel the venom scorching his thirst in anticipation, and as much as it burned he liked to make it hurt before he satisfied the urge. It made it all the more satisfying as soon as the first drop of blood entered his mouth. He had to want it. Playing with the human to the point where he couldn’t stop himself was almost like foreplay. It made the act the perfect climax to the situation.
He stopped himself as he got about a foot away. Blake listened to her describe how she liked the woods. The same things she liked about it he had enjoyed. And as he looked at her up close, he noticed what a beautiful woman she was. In his human days he would have asked her out. It felt almost a shame to end such a beautiful life, but the thirst wouldn’t let him walk away now. It felt odd to him however that despite hearing the familiar heartbeat the scent didn’t appear the same to him. Based on scent alone, he never would have picked her out as food. It was an attractive scent, but more sexually appealing than appetizing.
“I enjoy the solitude of it as well, and the rain suits me just fine, though you don’t find many who do like it” Blake told her. “You really shouldn’t be here” He said wondering what was stopping him from grabbing her already. Normally by now he would have been worked up into a frenzy and needed to feed.

The man voice carried the seductive vampire tone as he spoke to her of beast in the woods. Jayden couldn’t help the smile that played on her lips. “I’m not afraid of the things in the woods and maybe I like to be where the wild things roam.” She said pushing her own seductive tone as she spoke back to him.
He moved towards her and She wondered if he was gauging her reaction. Was he wondering if she’d run from him, a human would have backed up but she stood her ground staring towards him. Jayden could see his eyes, red and deep, he was hungry and even if he wasn’t, from what she knew of tradition vampires, he’d probably kill her anyway. He was handsome and Jayden doubted that was just from the change, been half human she could see passed the aspects of a change. This boy was handsome before he was turned.
He stop and almost listen to her and she talked about enjoying the woods. He was closer now and Jayden could really see his eyes, deep orbs, as red and deep as the blood he fed on. Could he see her eyes, she wondered and wondered if he noticed the unusual color. Golden from her diet, unusual among their kind and even more so with humans. Did he hear the fast flutter of her heart beat matched only locally by that of Nessie Cullen who she knew would never be allowed to come in such close contact with this vampire’s kind.
His scent was strong now and she found it almost appealing, though not in the way would that of food. His scent pulled on her, like Caleb’s smile had once, and Gavin’s before that, but this everything about this man pulled on her. Jayden wondered what he thought of her and she wanted to ask, but remained quiet not wanting to arouse suspicion.
Against her instincts Jayden closed the gap between them to less then a arms length apart. “I like the rain, I like been out in it. It dulls the scents and sounds, like snow but not as much.” She said casually as if their meeting was the most normal thing, when she new it was far from that. He no doubt wanted to eat her thinking her human, and she was meeting and engaging a vampire that could probably kill her; tense to say the least. “You keep saying about danger and not been out here, what exactly should I be worried about? I’m a lot stronger then I look.” She smiled innocently.

Blake grinned as the woman spoke of enjoying being in the woods where the wild things roam. She was equally as seductive in her response and he was really regretting having stopped to take her. He would try to put off her death as long as possible. But he couldn’t understand why getting closer to her heart beat, her scent hadn’t made the thirst worse. “You should be someplace safe, well lit, public place, somewhere that the wild things can’t get you…shame really”
Blake could see the woman looking into his eyes, noticing the color of them a deep red. Hers were an amber color. They were pretty for a human’s. Not the usual blue or brown that most people had. But he knew she had to be getting freaked out by the color of his eyes. Or maybe they were another one of his luring tools. She just kept looking at them and he couldn’t help but wonder if she was being drawn in by them. The uniqueness of the red. It should send danger signals to a normal person. But still she didn’t run.
Instead of running as expected, and as she really should have, given the situation, their location and the manner of their meeting, she actually closed the gap between them. They were now less than an arms length apart from each other. He felt almost as if this was too easy. It was like kicking a man when they were down, you at least wanted them to get up, or in this case to realize the danger. She was practically opening a wound and draining her blood for him into a silver chalice, offering it up to him.
She asked him what she should be worried about, and claimed to be stronger than she looked. He circled around her so that he was standing behind her. One of his hands grabbed her arm, making contact with her skin for the first time, knowing that the cold of his touch would make her aware of his difference if she hadn’t gained any knowledge yet from his eyes. His other arm crossed in front of her chest and the back of his hand lightly ran down her cheek. He paused a brief moment, thinking she didn’t feel as warm as most of them. Not to his level of coldness, but she was colder than most of his victims. He wondered if this drop in body temperature was why her blood still didn’t increase his thirst anymore. The venom hadn’t increased with her scent, it was only present because of his mentally anticipating the feeding. He wondered if without the draw of her scent he’d actually be able to let this prey go. Her beauty was enough to make him want her to live, but he realized it was too late now. She had already seen too much.
“You should be worried about me”

Jayden couldn’t pull her gaze away from the seductively attractive grin the boy gave her, both of them equally match for seduction made for a fun game. Yet Jayden knew what they were doing wasn’t a game to him, only in the sense it was a hunt. She knew she was his pray, his victim. “I don’t really like the public, well lit places. And wild things still roam wherever you are.” Jayden said honestly with a matter of fact tone. “Why is it a shame?” She asked confused by what he could mean.
Those eyes, no matter how Jayden told herself not to stare she couldn’t help it. She knew it was rude and risky to stare at this man, this vampire and even knowing that and knowing what gave those eyes their color she couldn’t look away. With the gap between then lessened now Jayden caught his scent again, it didn’t scare her she found it a lure. His hair was long and unstyled, it fell in his eyes and Jayden had to stop herself reaching forward to brush it out of his face. She wanted to touch him.
Their closeness felt natural, she felt no fear or danger form him Jayden knew if he attacked they would be evenly matched, almost. Jayden knew been this close she was offering herself to him, if he was yet to realize she wasn’t all human she knew he would think her natural prey, but still she couldn’t make herself back away.
Looking down at his clothes Jayden noticed how almost modern he looked, it was natural on him. He wore shoes something she knew most nomad’s had done away with. Staring at his modern appearance and dress Jayden wondered if he was a new born, or at least not very old. Would he know what she was?
As he moved behind her Jayden tried to stay still, he was like a tiger circling his pray and she was evidently the meal. She didn’t turn to look at him, her eyes fixed on where he had been standing. His hand on her arm was like an ice cold vice, his grip firm but not painful. Jayden registered the temperature change and wondered if he noticed the warmth of her skin. She’d expected the chill of his skin, but hadn’t expected him to touch her she took a sharp breath at the sudden contact. The grip he encased her in was almost loving, if they were seen one might almost think they were embracing. His fingers trailing down her cheek left a icy tingle Jayden’s head inclined slightly towards his touch as her body relaxed into his hold.
“You should let me go.” She told him briefly knowing he would see no need to spare the life he though was entirely human, she didn’t want to tease him with the prospect or have a thirsty vampire roaming the woods. Jayden wondered if her scent and closeness was increasing his thirst.
Jayden smiled at his arrogance; obviously he had no idea what she was. “You should be worried about me.” She threw back at him, turning her head slightly over her shoulder. “I’m not what you; I’m not what I seem.” She told him with her voice low and almost husky with its tone. She was afraid to tell him too much, would he believe her? Would he still see her as prey?

"You should like the public places, if you had stayed there you'd be safe" Blake said, still thinking it was shame that he'd have to kill someone who was so seductive in her own way. With the way he didnt feel right now as though he had to keep her, he wondered if it would be against Volturi rules to keep her alive for awhile to play with. And without the dominant urge to kill her going through him, he wondered if he'd be able to stop if he started feeding. Perhaps he'd even be able to turn her, keep her looking like this forever. But he knew he didnt know enough about her to know he'd want to keep her around loner than for a meal, which was probably all she'd end up being.
Blake wished she had pulled away or tried to run. Feeding from someone who didnt even try to put up a fight seemed a little cheap. At least if they realized the danger, they had a chance at life still, however miniscule, so he felt better about the whole situation. He supposed if she was foolish enough to lack that survival instinct, than she was meant to be his prey.
As Blake moved behind her he couldnt help but notice how still she remained even then, not shaking or acting like the pitiful creature he expected her to turn into whimpering and crying. As he ran his finger down her cheek, she even turned her head to the side slightly, exposing her neck a bit more to him, as if he needed that extra advantage.
"Let you go?" Blake repeated, thinking that she had finally realized he was a threat but was foolish enough to think she could either reason with him or fight him off. "I'm afraid its too late to let you go. But I will try to make this as quick and painless as I can" He told her, not usually offering his victims that luxury. He smirked as she mentioned how he should be the one worried about her. "I'm not worried, and I'm not what I seem either, though by now most have an idea"

Public places was something Jayden was never comfortable with, all the people, it was somewhere she never felt safe. As he told her that’s why she should have stayed she almost laughed at the irony the he would think she was safer then alone with him. Jayden realized the more he said that he didn’t know what she was, he had no idea she was a vampire or even part vampire. It was easier for her to tell what he was even without his scent or lack of heart beat giving it away, his eyes told her everything. “Just because it’s a public place it doesn’t mean its safe.” Jayden said she was tempted to say that perhaps the public wasn’t safe with her around, but she knew she was no threat because she didn’t desire human blood. “Am I not safe now?” she asked toying with him slightly and wondering how much trouble she was clearly in with him.
There was no space between them as he wrapped his arm around her pulling her to his chest, it was a better feeding position nothing more but Jayden couldn’t help feeling the slight pleasure at the contact. She wondered how he couldn’t feel it now, the flutter in his chest, the less then human temperature of her skin. His scent was stronger now and she knew she wouldn’t forget it ever, could he smell hers? She knew her scent must be more human otherwise he wouldn’t he preparing to feed from her, but even that didn’t scare her. Part of Jayden reveled in the closeness.
The touch of his finger trailing down his cheek made her heart flutter it was an almost loving gesture and one she actually liked. Turning into the touch she knew her neck ws exposed, that was teasing. Jayden wondered if his teeth would break her skin as easily as they would a humans, she wondered what she would taste like to him and what it would all feel like. Standing still was natural and this was no stiller then she’d normally stand, did he notice? Did it set her apart from his other prey? Her mind was spinning with questions she wanted to ask him, but she let him lead the conversation.
She wasn’t going to beg for her life or insist he released her. What she told him was a statement, he should let her go she wasn’t what he thought she was. “Yes, letting me go would be more sensible for you.” she said completely calmly and trying to give him advice. “Painless? Really? I’ve heard its very painful.” she said knowing the bite of their races teeth was painful not to mention the change the venom could cause if allowed too.
“I know what you are. You’re a vampire.” she stated as if it was a comment on the weather. The word flowed easily from her mouth, but it felt loud as if she’d shouted it for the whole forest to hear. Still she didn’t move. “But you don’t know what I am, do you?” she asked plainly. She doubted he even knew of hybrids existence, it was something even she found herself doubting even after seeing the Reneseme and knowing her own birth wasn’t a fluke.

"It's safer than being somewhere where no one can come to help you. No one can hear you if you scream..." Blake said, oddly not even in a psycho killer type way, but more of a regretful tone, as if he were a parent scolding their child for reckless behavior. She was young and beautiful and he was getting upset that she had come while he was hunting. Why couldnt she just spare her own life. She asked if she wasn't safe now. He exhaled with a huff and gave a simple "No, not even closes"
As he held her, trapping her body within his arms, he knew the feeding was imminent. He was drawn to her beauty, to the essence that emitted from her very being, and to her heartbeat, ,but her scent as he was so close, didnt push him over the edge like it usually did, making the act of the kill uncontrollable by this point being this close to her. He didnt understand it and could only assume he was gaining control with age.
As his hand touched against her cheek, he felt even closer to her. He wanted her to be his entirely and considered again the possibility that his control was increased and maybe he could try turning her. She could be his completely. If he didnt, she would be his next meal the same as he planned. He decided to see how things went. Make no plans.
"More sensible to let you go? I'm afraid its too late for that to even be an option" He told her knowing it was the truth, she had seen too much. He froze for a moment as she revealed that she knew what he was. She didnt seem phased by what he was in the least. Did she have a death wish? Or think she could just walk away. It puzzled him as she asked if he knew what she was. He removed his arms from around her.
"If you know what I am, why havent you tried to get away. I know what you are, I can hear that delicate heartbeat..." He said.

600Jayden laughed lightly at the way he spoke the words with an almost regret. “Who says I’d scream?” She asked him seriously. She knew she wouldn’t scream, there was no need he was little threat to her, just as she was no threat to him. It was a cat and mouse game that was evenly matched, he just didn’t know that. She couldn’t resist asking if she was safe, she wanted to hear his confidence in her not been safe; a confidence unfounded in his belief she was human. “Really? I think I’m safer them you think” She smiled.
Curiosity lured her in. Would it hurt? Could he bite her? Would her blood quench his thirst? Every though made her relax to what she was sure was to come next. Leaning back Jayden opened her neck to him in blatant offering. She wondered how he wasn’t confused, a human would run and scream yet she was so calm and almost welcoming. Her body certainly welcomed his touch, not been so close to a man since Caleb. With her head rested back against his shoulder she closed her eyes waiting.
“Its not to late til you bite me.” She said giving him and option and showing she knew what his intentions were. Jayden knew once a vampire bit he had the chance to feed or turn his victim. “It would be sensible not to bite me.” She wasn’t sure if this was true. She didn’t want the pain, if there would be any, but she wasn’t sure if there was any threat or risk in the action and a part of her craved the knowledge.
With his arms gone from around her Jayden felt empty and part of her wanted back in his embrace.
“Why would I run from you?” She asked meaning him not what he was. “Don’t let my heartbeat fool you, listen to it. Really see me, we’re not that different.” She told him. Now she knew she was risking everything she was, she knew telling her secret was the one thing her Father had protected her from.

Blake was getting frustrated with his prey. His brief symapthies for her were gone as she spoke, questioning if she'd even scream and saying how she was safer than he thought. "Do you really have a death wish?" He asked her "Or are you just blind? "
He saw her closing her eyes as she leaned back, exposing her neck to him completely. She was making it so easy for him, it was almost annoyingly too easy. But it also made him even more curious as to what was wrong with her that she was ready to let him bite. He had heard that some people fantasized about vampires in a romantic way, wishing to be bitten. Was she thinking this was all just some sort of game?
She verbally acknowleged that he was going to bite her. Obviously she wasn't disillusioned, just had a death wish. "Its too late because you know what I am, I can't let you leave after that" Blake told her. He wasn't that old, but he had been around long enough to know that letting a human know their secret was not allowed.
Blake took a step back to look at her fully as she questioned her heartbeat fooling him and saying they weren't that different. She was beautiful, more so than humans, her skin was smooth and without flaws, and the way she stood and moved was with the same elegance. He took another step back realizing there must be a reason why the thirst hadn't overwhelmed him yet, she wasn't human. "What are you?"

OOC: This is my 250 post. Yay me!
As the velvet voice spoke to her again Jayden thought it sounded a little annoyed, certainly devoid of any softness or sympathy she thought she might have heard before. A death wish was something she’d had for a very long time after her father left and to a much less extent after the Caleb incident her first year in Forks, but not now. In his arms and in his company Jayden’s mind was as far from death as someone of her kind could get. “I don’t wish for death, though in a sense it’s a close friend. As for my eye sight, I’d bet its as keen as yours.” She said honestly with a gentle smile, her voice still filled with the friendly sound.
The touch was intense though she knew that came from the fact that what he intended to do was intense both in desire for him and fear is she was a victim. No matter how the situation called for it, Jayden couldn’t make herself feel like a victim not when she wanted his touch. She’s never found one of her find so appealing and alluring, yet now for the first time she was experiencing what she assumed it must be like for a human lured and attracted to a vampire to be their prey. She wasn’t going to be his prey, she wasn’t even sure it was possible. Would his teeth break the skin of her neck? Would she feel pain or the sheer enjoyment of his teeth and lips so close to her skin? Could his venom actually harm her? She knew, even as she thought them, that the questions should bring hesitation to her mind or at the very least have her pulling back from him and moving away with the speed gifted to her, but she couldn’t do anything but lean into his embrace.
It was true that she knew what he was, yet he still didn’t know what she was. If he did she wondered if he’d let her go or try to bite her still seeking proof. “Of course I know what you are, I’m not a stranger to vampires.” She said with a light musical laugh filling her voice a little. He made her feel more open and brave even when she knew she should be cautious and scared. She knew of what he spoke and why he couldn’t let her go. “You know I don’t think they watch everything, and I’m sure they’d be more interest in me then in the fact you let me go.” she said honestly not knowing what the Volturi would do if they got their hands on her, but knowing they wanted too. She knew of only two others like her, abominations, and she knew the Volturi sought to collect the unusual. She certainly wasn’t boasting of the fact they’d be more interest, it was a statement and one she was sure he wouldn’t understand.
When he stepped back, back and away from her, Jayden felt the loss of contact. There was a gap between them now and she turned to face him. Still close, but not touching, she took in his features again. His eyes reddened by his diet a stark contrast to his pale alabaster skin and in even great difference to the black night of his hair. He was incredibly handsome, as all their kind were, but she was drawn to him as a woman to a man not as a prey to hunter. She saw the realization in his face a millisecond before he spoke. When he spoke the question her eyes fell from his face, it was a moment of truth laid bare. “What do you think I am?” She asked stealing a glance at him then letting her eyes fall. She didn’t turn her back on him now, but she wanted to walk away afraid of what he’d think of her now and of what he might do.
The silence of the forest was deafening as she waited to see if he‘d answer her. Jayden listened to the drops of water falling down the leaves of the trees, nearby there were animals moving in the under brush no doubt freeing from them. She couldn’t stand the silence nor not looking at him. Pulling her head up she looked at him squarely. “I’m different; not Human and not Vampire. Not completely. You don’t thirst for my blood or my scent do you?” She asked more curious then trying to deflect the conversation, she realized if he had thirsted for her then they probably wouldn’t be having the conversation.

Blake's limited patience was wearing thin. An older vampire may have been able to put up with not getting straight answers and playing with their meal for longer, but Blake hadn't been out of his newborn stage for long enough to have that great of self control. His annoyance was rising, but strangely enough to him the thirst hadn't compelled him to just bite her and get it over with. It was as if he was still miles away from a good bite to eat, not staring straight at the blood source. She didnt pull away as her natural instincts should have dictated, but continued to lean into him.
Hearing her say the word vampire was something that Blake wasn't used to. And the calmness in her voice suggested it wasn't the first time she had said it, or perhaps even encountered one of his kind. She continued to make his head spin with questions. "A girl who knows about vampires, only interesting t o them in that they need to dispose of you and the careless ones who let you in on the secret and live" He said wondering how it was that she even knew of the Volturi to know that someone would be watching. "What were you, some vamp's plaything? A lover of one with much more control than myself" He said giving her a look of lust, knowing that if he was in that vampires position self control would be something he wouldnt possess.
Realizing that she was different, that her appearance and scent didnt match the heartbeat he heard caused him to step back, not knowing what was in front of him anymore or what trickery this was. His posture tightened with the uncertainty of the situation, the usual rigidity of vampires. She didnt answer his question of what she was, but turned it around asking what he thought. "You're not one of them, you dont have their scent...but your heart still beats..."
He watched as she raised her head to look at him and explain what she was. Not human or vampire. "If I did thirst for you, you'd have been dead by now...if you're not human or vampire...what does that make you?"

The word Vampire had never been an alien word in her vocabulary, if anything human was more alien having been raised by her father - vampire- and kept from both kinds her only brush with humans had been recently. Letting a little laugher spill again she fell into a smile before speaking. “No one let me in on the secret, I think I’ve always known.” She said knowing that at some point her father must have told her what she was, but also wondering if she’d just known. The idea of been a vampire’s lover or play thing made her laugh and think back to the same thought she had had about Bella when first meeting Edward and hearing about his love. “You presume to much of me. I have never been anyone’s play thing.” She said not labeling the thing a vampire as he had knowing that he would already know how comfortable she was with the word. “More control then you? You’re controlling yourself now. Are you new to this?” She wondered worrying if he was a new born and perhaps she was really in more danger then she though. Jayden had had little interaction with new born vampires, but she knew their danger.
Stepping away from him was hard, he had a draw about him and Jayden knew she’d been snared by it. Watching him she saw the realization in his actions and on his face, his step back shocked her assuming he’d stand his ground or test her on her the impression she gave him. If he was a new born she knew she could be in danger testing his patience and pushing him towards something very few of their kind knew about or believed. As he made statements about her she shook her head then nodded to each statement. “I’m not, but I am at the same time. Its complicated and our kinda hardly believe I possible but it is.” She said with certainty having met Nessie and Nahuel, feeling comfort no longer been alone. “My heart beats fast, always. Its not just you or the danger you could pose or the reaction you elicit.” she said explaining her heart beat
Saying what she was was dangerous, he could run to the Volturi and alert them to another hybrid; another trophy for ther collection. “I’m different in the worst possible way. The Volturi would collect us if some of our kind hadn’t stopped them.” She said hoping to make it clear that telling him was a danger for her. “I’m a hybrid. Half Human, half vampire.” She said gently without an readiness to run or defend herself, part of her trusted this man.
