Nash smiled as Dal revealed to him that she could happily sleep here. "If you're tired, go ahead. We've got the house to ourselves, and its still fairly early" He told her, knowing his aunt and uncle weren't due back with Travis for awhile. He knew that if they were and they came in seeing him with Dal in his bed, things would be horrible. He'd risk getting kicked out of the house, and he'd have to worry about any trouble she'd be in. But he was confident they were gone, and even if they came back he knew any risk to himself would be worth this moment with her.
"No, last night wasn't too bad...just long" Nash told her, trying to be honest in his answers, even if they each were talking about a different subject. He knew she believed he was working on cars. It was too complicated for her to know anymore than that right now.
He smiled as she further reassured him that she didnt want him to move to Travis' bed, that this felt nice for her. "I think that this is nice too" He let her know, not wanting her to think that he wasn't enjoying this just as much.
Even as Dal told him her tears were happy tears it worried him that she might just be covering. "If you're sure...I just don't want to make you feel nervous or uncomfortable or anything" He told her honestly, knowing that if this was her first time in bed with a man, that maybe she was having doubts about it. He nodded at her question. "I'm very okay with this, as long as you are. " He told her, knowing the situation had increased his thoughts of the typical male variety, but knowing he'd go slow for her, not wanting to make any mistakes and ruin his chances with her.

The night was long for her too, Lyndal was only just realizing how much of her time away form Nash was taken up thinking about him. Last night she’d wondered where he was and with who, the small jealous parts of her mind dwelling on the latter while the rest of her thought about the former. “Lots of cars, huh?” She said doubting that’s where he’d been but still at a loss as to where he was.
If he moved to Travis’ bed Dal knew that it would be worst then been a million miles form him. The idea of him been in the same room and not been next to him would be too much to bare. They both used the words nice, though she knew it felt better then nice, it was amazing.
“You couldn’t make me feel any of those things. I weird but I feel comfortable around you no matter what the situation.” She said with a smile as she snuggled into his neck bringing her body closer to his.
So long as he was ok with it too Dal relaxed. Her eyes were closing, she was comfortable and complete in his arms and now sleep was taking her. “I think I’ll sleep a little.” she said quietly her hand still tracing the lines of his back though her hand moved slower and slower.

Nash inadvertently gave a small frown as Lyndal asked him about there being lots of cars. He realized what he had done and tried to correct his expression quickly, hoping that she hadn't caught his slip or if she had that she would just think he had been thinking about a difficult fix or something. It was painful for him to lie to her. He wasn't even sure he was fully able to or not. He knew if she asked something of him, he'd never be able to refuse. But to lie, it seemed possible, but difficult. "Um, mostly just one job, but it requires a lot of hours to be put in, had to be thorough" He said, trying to describe his actual activities to make it easier on himself.
Nash was relieved when Dal had told him not to change beds. He hadn't wanted to leave her side and was glad that she wouldn't want him to either, when given the choice. His relief turned to a smile as she told him she'd feel comfortable around him no matter what the situation. "If you ever don't, you can always tell me, I'll try to fix it" He said always wanting to make things better for her. He gave a contented sigh as she snuggled in closer to him. This felt like perfection. Their bodies and mind so completely connected in the moment. He had no doubts that she was his imprintee. A girl from Australia who had traveled halfway around the world to come to him.
He nodded as she said how she'd sleep a little. "Maybe I'll get a few winks in too" He agreed knowing he was still tired, but would sleep better with her here. He pulled her in a little closer and rested his head against the top of hers, enjoying the feeling of her hand on his back as he closed his eyes.

Of course Lyndal saw the slight change in his facial expression, she noticed everything about Nash. The change in his hair, when he look tired and the way his face lit up when Travis came into the room which was almost similar to the way she was sure he looked when she entered a room; was that wishful thinking? He was more tired some days, more tired then just when he worked at the garage and Dal was sure there was something else he did. Did he take classes? Or work a second job? “Oh.” She said as he explained, she nodded and didn’t push him, he’d tell her when he was ready she was sure.
“You don’t have to fix anything, I’m happier when I’m close to you.” She said before she caught herself. Before her filter soughed through the words. She realized how it sounded, how open and easy she seemed to be making herself for him. She was sure he’d think her a simple child giving herself over to him. Reeling back the words she tried to rephrase. “I mean I’m comfortable with you, so as long as I’m near you you wont have to fix it. I mean….” Lyndal blushed, no matter how she seemed to say what she was feeling it came out desperate and open to her own ears. With her body against his it felt right, but she was sure her words would lead his mind on to more, more that she wasn’t ready to give yet.
Feeling him pull her towards him Dal resisted a little, she wanted to be close to him but the action made her nervous. Her recent words could lead a man Nash’s age to think she was ready for anything. With her eyes closed she tried to relax to his touch, something that was easy to do yet her mind raced with worries.

Nash could tell that Lyndal knew that he wasn't giving a full answer and felt guilty immediately for it. He didnt want her to think he was keeping things from her, or didn't want to tell her about his work. He'd tell her everything right now if he didnt think it would just scare her off. He gave her a slight smile. " I would have rather been here"
Nash smiled brighter as she told him how she was happier close to him. He could see her embarrassment and attempt to fix how it had sounded but thought it was cute and perfect, just the way it had come out. It was his feelings exactly and hearing her share them made his heart soar. "I'm comfortable with you too...and I'm glad you are too, I hope you continue to be" He told her hoping that he wasn't making it sound like he expected too much more from her right now, because of their current situation and how she was talking.
Nash's eyes opened up as he felt a bit of resistance as he tried to pull her closer. He knew he was going to mess up. He had been waiting for this. For him to go and move to fast again and lose her because of it. He loosened his arms in case she wanted to back out, not ready to remove them completely himself yet, not knowing when he'd get this chance again, he lifted his head and tilted it to looked down towards her. "Lyndal I'm sorry...I wasn't trying to...I mean I don't think that this is, or expect its going to..." He said feeling himself getting more flustered with his own embarrassment mixing with worry as he was quickly realizing she hadn't left after the resistence, and if he hadn't opened his big mouth maybe they could have forgotten his screw up altogether. Too late.

Smiling back Lyndal spoke, “I’d rather you were here too, but I know you have to work.” She said knowing she couldn’t always be with him or he’d grow tired of her, something she hoped he’d never do.
As he apologized and get flustered Lyndal got more nervous and began apologizing. “No its me, the things I said and then getting in your bed and talking like that. You must think I’m such a tease and I don’t mean to be I just like to be close to you, but that’s all…well for now, I mean…” She stammered tripping over her words and burying her head in the pillow as he finished his words. The giggle escaped her lips before she could catch it, before she knew it she was laughing. “Some adults we make. Embarrassing the other and been nervous and shy.” She turned to him. “I want to fall asleep beside you, nothing more…well expect to be in your arms.” She said leaning her head close to his and snuggling close to him again.

"Unfortunately I do, just like I know you have to go to school" Nash said with a nod, knowing their schedules didn't always match up, but always hoping that they'd have time to be together. He used to wish the same thing for him and his son, that he could be home when Travis was still home and awake. Now that wish also included Lyndal.
Nash was flustered and embarrassed. He knew he should not be talking this way. He was obviously the more experienced one, plus the man (which carried its own sterotypes of the person who would be interested exclusively in these things). Nash was sure he was making her more uncomfortable and probably regretting her decision to come into his bed.
"Its not you, you're not a tease...I like being close to you too, but I didn't think you meant anything more...I didn't assume" He said wondering if he was just making it worse again seeing she was also stammering a bit. The next thing he knew she was laughing. "You make me nervous" He admitted. "I'd like that too" He told her as she said about wanting to fall asleep in his arms. He knew though that there was more that he did want. Of course he had urges to take this much farther, with her so close he could practically envision what that would be like, but he tried to suppress those thoughts, sure that she'd know and it would make her feel even less comfortable. But he wondered if he could take it just a little further.
"Since I've already gotten embarrassed and nervous, I might as well go all out" He said lightly. "If you want nothing more than falling asleep right now, I'll respect that completely...but would a kiss goodnight be alright?"
