As Nash spoke Lyndal felt all the same things he was talking about. She knew he’s never love anyone the way she loved Nash and she didn’t want to either. “That’s exactly how I feel. I love you with all my heart and I know I’ll never love anyone else like this. And I never want anyone but you.” she said so honestly she felt her voice crack as she said the words for the first time to someone who wasn’t family, but Nash was more then family to her now. “Nash I love you.” She repeated more firmly and without the creaky voice.
“Hey I don’t need a night light…” she laughed at his offer before moving her hand uder her pillow. “I have a torch and its not for monsters, it because I can’t find the light switches in the dark.” She huffed with a smile.
Sitting on her bed she felt the nerves return a little, but it didn’t deter her, she wanted Nash. Leaning back she smiled and tried to look relaxed as they talked.
“Are there really vampires out there? Or cold ones.” She asked with a smirk waiting for him to say he didn’t believe it or that he was just pulling her leg. “Us? You mean you too? You’re a protector of the tribe? What does that mean? And how do you fit it in with work and home?” She joked again trying to sound light, but also believing it all a little more with how serious Nash sounded.

Nash felt a moment of pure happiness and joy as he heard his imprintee say those three words. She loved him. It made him feel complete. His life had more meaning to it with her love. "Lyndal, I love you too. I never want anyone else but you, no one else will ever touch my heart the way you have" He told her, knowing it was a guarantee he could make. imprinting was forever.
Nash laughed as she spoke of not needing Travis' nightlight. "Sure that's what the flashlights for...its just for when you need to check under your bed for the boogie monster" He lightly teased her. He sat down beside her on the bed as they continued to talk.
"If you believe the legends they exist" Nash told her, feeling the same awkwardness he felt downstairs as they talked about it, he knew he was a chicken for not admitting everything to her and being afraid of ruining it all. " Its in my blood to be one" he said then laughing as she asked how he worked it in with work and home. "Oh you know, mild mannered father and mechanic by day, superhero by night, I think I'm doing my job, I dont see any cold ones in the house"

It scared her even hearing the declaration, she was worried about the what ifs like when she had to leave or if Travis’ mum ever came back. It was hard to push them away but she tried to concentrate on the happy feelings of hearing Nash’s love for her. “I’ve wanted to tell you that since I met you. Its crazy I never thought I could feel this much for someone in such a short time, but I feel it all for you.” She said with a bright smile.
“Not a boogie monster, spiders. This place is full of them, I’ve seen them outside they’re just waiting to get in. Besides the boogie monster hides under your bed.” She teased back laughing. “And it is just for the light switches, and to sneak into your room.” she winked as he sat beside her enjoying his body near hers.
Truth was Lyndal didn’t know the legends to believe them, she’d never really hear them all and Nash was been so cryptic she knew it wasn’t the time to push on it. “Well I’ll have to read up on them.” She vowed then she could make up her own mind.
As he joked with her about the superhero stuff she frowned. “Why so cryptic about it all? Afraid I wont believe your tribe’s legends and history.” she asked with a more serious tone then joked, “Besides its well know Vampire law that they have to be invited into a house.” She nodded.

"I wanted to tell you since we met too..but I was scared of pushing you away, of rushing things too quickly" Nash explained, wondering if they'd still have gotten to this place if they had been more open earlier or if it would have felt to rushed for her then. "I feel it all for you too, and its not just a fleeting thing, I love you" He said again, enjoying saying the words now that he had thought in his head so many times over.
Nash laughed as she clarified that it was spiders under her bed. "Its called living with nature" He told her with a silly grin on his face that turned into a smile as she spoke of sneaking into his room. "That's always nice, maybe I'll get you some extra batteries then"
Nash knew he was being avoidant about the questions of the legends, he was just so unsure of what to tell her when and how to tell her. He was too frightened to come right out and do it now, but talking around the subjects was just as difficult and he knew she could tell he was avoiding it. He gave her a smirk as she asked if he was afraid that she woudlnt believe the legends and history. "You got me...maybe I dont want to sound foolish, or like a crazy native" He then laughed as she mentioned about vampire laws about being invited in. "Assuming what you see in movies is true, maybe that's just their way of tricking you"

Pushing her away? Lyndal wasn’t sure Nash could or would ever do anything to push her away, she loved him so completely. She understood his fear too, she’d been afraid of saying to much to him for fear he’d think she was just a child with an infatuation. “I had the same fears.” She told him with a weak, but bright smile. She was surprised and reassured that they had the same fears it only proved further how right they were for each other.
Hearing the words again strengthened her smile. “I love you too.” Lyndal said not because he’d said them or to fill the empty space, but because she liked saying them to him. She meant them and wanted to keep telling him now that she was free to say it, even if it was just in private for now.
There were several reasons for the flashlight, and living in nature was certainly one of them Lyndal really didn’t like the spider part of the nature. ‘Well nature here is worst then the nature at home. At least at home I know the ones to avoid, here they sneak up on you.” She grimaced then grinned back at him feeling ever bit like the silly teen she was. As for the sneaking into his room, she smiled at the offer of batteries. “Thanks, or we could just alternate with that whole sneaking thing. Its makes me as jumpy as a roo on a hot sand bed, scared of your rellies finding me.” she giggled.
No matter what the legend Dal was sure she’d believe it, or at least try to believe it to embrace his culture as he had when been open to her ramblings about him. When he grinned and made his explanation Dal laughed. “Nah not going to happen. Well sometime maybe, but I know legends can be crazy. The aboriginal ones from home can be, but I’m still respectful of them. I want to hear your too.” She said looking at him seriously trying to get him to open up to her.
When the conversation moved back towards the movies and their elements of myth she laughed again. ‘All movies have a little truth in them somewhere, just mixed with a lot of fiction.” she shrugged not sure what to make of his words and wondering if he knew more then her. “Well I’m sure vampires are tricky things either way. All mythical creatures are right?”

"Lyndal, you never have to have those fears with me...there's nothing you could say or do that could have pushed me away...well unless it was asking me to go away" Nash told her honestly, knowing that only her rejection of him would ever make him leave, and even that would only be to make her happy. He hoped this admission wasn't too strong on its own, but had to believe she was feeling everything he was, that imprinting was a two way street.
Hearing Lyndal say those words was music to his ears. He didnt think there were more beautiful words in the english language than those three. Maybe her name was as well. He'd never grow tired of hearing her say I love, and wondered if love to her felt the same as it did to him. It was all encompassing and in his every thought.
He smiled as she mentioend alternating sneaking. "That would be fair" He agreed, knowing now that she wouldnt mind if he snuck in. "But I guarantee if they catch you, even if we're in my room, I'll be the one taking the blame" He said knowing it would be his fault in their eyes. He'd always be the reckless teenager who got his girlfriend pregnant way too young to them, no matter how responsible he tried to be.
"The legends are crazy...which is why I dont want to seem crazy for believing them" He smirked "But you're not going anywhere, you've got plenty of time to learn all the details" He assured her, convinced now more than ever that he'd find a way for her to stay in the states. She loved him, that was all the motivation he needed.

“And you’d leave if I asked? Not that I ever would.” She wondered if he’d give up that easily and if he’d go if she asked would he fight to keep her in the same country come the end of the year. It was reassuring to hear that she could never push him away, but she worried if the problems they could face would push a wedge between them. Dal didn’t even want to think about the end of the year, but it seemed to be a constant shadow on everything.
Even if she had to leave, Dal knew it would break her heart. What she felt for Nash was ultimate love and that would break her heart to leave. “Even if I have to leave I’ll still love you.” She said hoping it didn’t sound like a silly teenage declaration.
Sneaking around was hard, but she did think it was very romantic and added to fun of been in love. As he mentioned getting caught she got worried, if he was caught and blamed that would risk Travis’ home and she didn’t want to do that at all. “I’ll take the blame too, especially if it me in your room.” She told him. “We’ll just be extra careful.” She told him.
Legends were always crazy, Lyndal knew ones from him that were certainly a little cracked. “its your heritage, that doesn’t make you crazy.” She smiled back at him catching his smirked. “Fine you’re crazy, if I already think that then hearing the legends would make me think worst will it.” She laughed nudging him with her arm. “You going to keep me here? I want to stay.” She said more seriously.

Nash wondered if it had sounded weak or uncommitted that he'd leave if she asked him to. He'd move heaven and earth to be with her, but he'd just admitted that he'd walk away if she asked. He never wanted her to think he didnt care enough to try. "If I believed you really wanted me gone and leaving you would make you happy, I would...but I hope you never do ask me that" Nash told her.
Nash shook his head feeling a pain in his chest as she mentioned leaving but still loving him. "I will still love you too, but I'm not going to let us be separated...we'll find a way to stay together"
Nash shook his head as she graciously agreed to accept some of the blame if they got caught. "No, its alright, I can play the troublesome guy...I've got the history, they'll see it as me acting irresponsible" He told her truthfully but then nodded knowing it would be better to not get caught at all. "We can be careful, I can usually hear them coming anyway."
Nash laughed as she told him that she would already think he was crazy just so that he would tell her all the legends. He wondered if she'd be receptive to the important ones. He nodded as she asked if he was going to keep her here. "I'm not planning on you going back to Australia, I want to keep you with me on the reservation"

“I’m never going to want you gone.” She smiled brightly, “I love you. I like saying that.” Lyndal really did like saying it, finally been able to say it freely only made the feelings grown more.
The idea of the end of the year and leaving scared her, she didn’t want to leave him not they’d finally announced how they felt. Suddenly the year’s end seemed closer then ever before. “I believe you.” She said feeling it more then just saying it. “I know we will. We both want it enough.” she said knowing it was true.
Hearing the way he spoke Lyndal felt terrible for him and the view he seemed to have of himself or the view his aunt and uncle instilled in him. “You shouldn’t have to play it, you’re not troublesome your amazing. You stepped up when Trav was born, you’re a great guy and dad.” She said feeling protective of him even if the people saying the things weren’t there. “Good hearing? Thought your ears looked a little big, fruit bat ish.” She laughed and joked wondering how good his hearing actually was.
Laughting about the legends and trading banter relaxed Dal, she felt at ease with him. When he mentioned keeping her on the rez she smiled. “I don’t want to go back anyway, you’re here and that’s all I need.” She told him. Turning on the bed she moved up the blankets and lent against the pillows her legs stretched out towards him. “So if I’m going to be staying on the rez I need to know the legends.” She smiled thinking she may have found a way to get him to tell her.

Nash smiled as she told him she'd never want him gone, something that was a joy for any imprinter to hear. The words that followed were even more welcome. "I love you Lyndal. I like saying it and hearing it" He told her, feeling complete knowing that she felt he same way he did.
Nash was glad that Lyndal believed him and had faith that the two of them would be able to find a way for her to stay at the end of the year. He already knew one way that she could be guaranteed to stay. But he was pretty sure it was too soon to even consider bringing that option up to her right now. He wasnt even sure if at the end of 1 year if it would be too early for her.
"Thank you but thats not how a lot of people see it. " Nash told her, knowing that most adults on the reservation saw him as the irresponsible kid who got his girlfriend pregnant when they were both way too young and now had living proof that they could tell their own children about as precautions of why you should have safe sex or none at all. He laughed as she told him his ears looked a little batish. "Yeah I've got good hearing, maybe more like a dog than a fruit bat "
Nash laughed again as she said how since she was going to be staying on the rez she needed to know the legends. "I thought you were wanting to go to bed?" He told her. "I already told you a few of the legends tonight about all the mythical creatures"

After sharing their confessions of love Lyndal couldn’t stop smiling. It was an amazing feeling to finally know that all she’d felt for Nash was the same as what he felt in return. To be in love was an bonza feeling for Dal and she couldn’t quit the smile or staring at Nash.
Regardless of how other people saw Nash Lyndal saw him as a mature man and a great loving father. She wanted him to see what she saw. “Forget them, I see someone amazing and I think Trav sees someone great too.” she smiled wanting him to see himself as amazing, like she did.
Joking about his hearing Dal laughed. “You do not have ears like a dog, but that is cutier then a fruit bat.” she nodded and laughed looking him up and down and noting he was definitely cutier then a bat. “What about sense of smell…sight?” she questioned his other senses teasingly as she smiled.
Moving up on the bed Dal felt less nervous about having him in her room knowing it was going to be as innocent as always, but more amazing. Falling asleep in his arms and waking up beside him was something she wanted to experience. “We can still be in bed and talk.” She suggested. Hearing his reluctance to tell her more just then she didn’t push it.
Looking over at him she shrugged. “Fine lets sleep.” She said standing up and heading to her dresser to get some sweats and a shirt. “what are you going to sleep in?” She asked with clothes in hand as she turned to head to the bathroom to change.

"If thats how you two see me, thats all that matters to me. " Nash told her. "You two are the most important people in my life." He told her, meaning it with all of his heart. He had never believed that someone else could share his heart the way that Travis had, but Lyndal fit in it perfectly.
"I'd hope to be cuter than a bat" Nash said laughing. He grinned as she asked about his other senses. If she knew the truth, she'd know he really did have heightened senses. He leaned forward and gave a sniff of her hair. "Mmm....smells like an ocean breeze" He told her smirking knowing he was picking up the scents in her shampoo. He loved the way she smelled. He loved everything about her.
"Okay" He responded as she said they could still be in bed and talk, knowing he'd give in to anything she wanted. He then watched her shrug and say they could sleep. "We can talk if you'd rather" He said hoping he hadn't upset her, being the last thing he'd wan to do. He saw her go over to her dresser to get some clothes. "I'll probably go grab some pajama bottoms from my room...do you want me to wear a tshirt too?" He asked her, wondering if that would make her more comfortable when they'd be spending the night together in the same bed.

To be on the same level as Trav in Nash’s heart was an even greater feeling and she truly wondered if their love could be true. “I love your son heaps.” She smiled and it was completely true, she never thought it would be possible to have such huge feelings for a child, but Trav meant a lot to her.
Laughing at Nash’s hopes she nodded. “You’re handsome and very cute. I’d even say sexy.” she smiled feeling her cheeks redden a little at the bold comment. When he lean forward Dal thought he was going to kiss her, when he spoke she giggled. “That’s my shampoo.” She said grabbing a strand of her hair and catching its scent. “You caught that?”
“Talk, sleep, hug. I just want to be close to you.” She admitted a little lower then her other words to him, the statement was the most open thing she’d said since admitting her love. As she moved to get her pajamas she felt nervous of what would happen next. “You don’t have to wear a shirt, I’m ok with that part.” she grinned and blushed again as she slipped into the bathroom across the hall.
Changing quickly and brushing her teeth Lyndal slipped back into the room ready for bed. Sitting back on the bed she lent back staring at the ceiling as she wait for Nash. Her stomach churned nervously, but she still couldn’t stop the smile.

Nash smiled warmly as she told him she loved his son. It meant so much to him that she did, that he didnt have to try to sort between his feelings for the two of them, knowing he could never choose between them if she didnt love him. "Thank you for being so good with him."He told her.
He grinned as she described him as handsome cute and sexy. "And you're an incredibly beautiful woman, and I'd even say sexy as well. " He returned the compliment, enjoying the blush on her cheeks. He smirked as she smelled her own hair seeming surprised he was able to pick out her shampoo. "See, my senses really are good"
"I like the sound of that" Nash told her gently as she mentioned wanting to just be close. He nodded as she said she was okay with him not wearing a sure, hoping it didnt embarrass her too much, but knowing she had seen him without one before. He went into his room room and changed into a pair of flannel pajama bottoms. He waited until he heard the door to the bathroom open and her walk back into her room before going in to brush his teeth and wash up before coming back out and rejoining her in her room. "You look just as cute in sweats as in everything else" He told her.

Thought she wasn’t really sure how good with Travis she actually was, Lyndal smiled. “He’s so fun to be around and with, like you.” She nodded with a smile. She wondered how much Travis looked like his mother, if at all, because all Dal saw was Nash in everything the child did. “I can’t wait for the three of us to spend time together.” She confessed excited to be with both of the men she loved, it wasn’t that she wanted to play families more she wanted to give Travis the feeling of family.
Dal felt her cheek color deepen as he called her sexy in return, she knew no man had ever told her that. “Thanks.” She said dipping her head a little. When he caught the scent of her shampoo she looked at him curiously. “Very good senses. Well caught. Like it?” she wondered knowing she’s change it if he didn’t.
Lyndal wasn’t nervous about him been shirtless, she’d seen him half naked before (a wording she tried not to think about) and she’d even shared his bed while he was like that. She was a little nervous about the whole night, but it was an excited nervousness. Laying back on her bed she didn’t hear him enter. When he spoke she half sat up leaning back on her elbows and looking at him, his body was certainly amazing. “You look way more then cute.” She smiled sitting up fully and shifting on to the side of the bed. “You’re never cold, even when its freezing outside. This another amazing trait?” she smiled remembering the times she’d cuddled up to him to get warm, yet never seeing him shiver or even chill.
