"Our wolf genes are activated when there's a need for us to exist, to protect our land...from the vampires" Nash said the last word softer, still not wanting to scare her by pushing all of the information all at once, but slowly answering her questions, one at a time. "So when there was an increased activity...more of them around and hurting people, more of us joined the pack...Sam, he's the alpha of the pack...our leader so to speak. We all have to listen to him, if he gives an order, we're physically unable to go against it....like telling others what we are, and about the cold ones...its forbidden, with the exception of imprintees, because we're bringing you into this life" He gave her a little smile as she asked where he was in the pack. He wished he could tell her he held some important spot. Alpha , Beta...Beta's 2nd in command..but he just shook his head. "After the Alpha and Beta, first and second in command...we don't really have a level anymore, we're all brothers"
Nash's smile grew as she told him that she was happy that he had imprinted on her. It was a relief that knowing that she knew the truth, that she still wanted this, over the chance for love the way everyone else did it. "You really are?" He said a little surprised. "I'm thankful each day I imprinted"
He gave a light laugh as she asked what else went along with being a wolf. "A few things" He said wondering where to begin. "We have to alternate going on patrols, to watch the reservation, thats our work...when I'm not at the garage at least...and we have to watch our temper or we'll change when its not our control" He explained knowing she deserved to know that, Emily was proof of that. "But there's also other things...like our temperature, a steady 108 degrees...and we're strong, and fast, and heal quickly"
"It's kinda hard to describe I guess...it doesnt hurt, but if you saw it might look like it, just cause our whole bodies change to a wolf thats more the size of a horse" He said scrunching up his face a little knowing he was describing it poorly. "No pain though, promise." He added assuring her. He nodded as she questioned him watching over her. "I worry about you when I'm not around, so I try to check on you when I can, to make sure you're okay" He told her then shook his head. "No, we dont get in trouble coming to the rez...its what we're protecting so we're almost always on our land, but we're supposed to stay away from the houses and the people so we don't get seen, stick to the woods" He explained.
"You don't need to worry about me. I'm strong and built for this, and I have the other guys for help" He assured her. He could see her worry about her brother. "I know you're worried, but you can't tell him about this Dal...he wouldnt believe you and it needs to be kept secret" He said trying to stress the importance of the issue with her. He smiled feeling proud as she spoke of thinking he'd be a force to go against.
Nash was sure he sounded crazy as he described the way he looked as a wolf. Not the normal conversation a man had with his girlfriend. He was surprised again as she said he sounded beautiful. "It doesnt creep you out? What I am?" He asked her, thinking she was amazing to be able to even think it was beautiful. His surprise continued as she asked if he'd show her one day. "You wouldnt be afraid, or think I was a monster?" He asked her. "I'll show you anytime you want to see" He said sincerely and then smiled at her next question. "No matter what form I'm in, I'd always know its you. When I change, my appearance is different, I'm stronger, and its a little harder to restrain myself if angry...but my mind its still me. I still know who you are...me and the other wolves can hear each others thoughts when we're phased, so they hear all about you then too cause you're always on my mind"

Hearing everything was overwhelming and Dal appreciated the slow pace Nash went at while explaining as he had done when telling her about imprinting. “Vampires…” She repeated the words nodding as she took in all the other information. It made sense when he mentioned Sam, she knew he was popular on the rez and often had most of the boys at his place she just never knew he was a leader. “Its big family then with Sam as the leader.” She said liking the way it sounded more like a family then a gang. He was a protector of the whole reservation and Dal felt a sense of pride towards him as he spoke of it. “You’re pretty amazing you know. Father, worker, boyfriend and protector.” She smiled loving how great he was.
Having him as her soul mate was almost too much to believe when he first admiting everything, now she just marveled at having someone like him love her back. “I think even without the imprinting I’d still marvel at the love, but with it its just more amazing.” She said shaking her head a little. “I sound like a hallmark movie.” She laughed at herself. Hearing him say he was thankful for her and imprinting made her smile, she wasn’t sure she was anything worth been thankful for. “Well I think I’m more thankful.” She nodded again.
A few things; as Nash listed them she tried to commit them to memory. “So that’s where you go on a night.” She asked knowing that he spent several nights a week out of the house ‘working’ and now she understood. “And the body temperature that explains a few things, I just thought you were always running a fever.” She laughed lightly. “What about healing? Does that work with aging? Or is that different?” She asked wondering so may things about these wolf genes he carried. “And anger, what if you got angry at me or Travis?” She asked not afraid but weary of his anger even though he’d never shown anything more then mild irritation at anything or anyone while she’d known him.
It was a relief to hear there was no pain in the change Lynda would hate the idea of him been in pain to change to protect the reservation. “The size of a horse?” She said in awe and shock at the size he said he would become.
The thought of him coming to check on her made her glow, feeling so loved that he’d risk that for her. “Well you can come check on me anytime.” She smiled liking him checking on her and always been close. “How many of you are there? I’ve never seen anyone or heard anything.” she said thinking allowed rather then actually questioning.
Nash was backed by the pack, but Lyndal couldn’t help worrying about her brother unprotected in Forks and known what things lurked out there. “I have to tell him, he has to be protected Nash, he’s my brother. He can keep a secret I promise.” She stammered wanting Laurie to know and be protected. “I know it’s a secret, but he’s my brother. His girlfriend is even a Quilute.” She said hoping that might help her cause.
As it moved on to his thoughts in wolf form she nodded glad that even when he didn’t look like Nash he would still be thinking like Nash. The thought of the telepathy made her laugh. “I’m sure that’s gotta be awkward, knowing everything the other think or imagine.” She said not sure it would always be age appropriate or ideal to share thoughts. “So what will you be thinking about me?” She asked with a smile.

"Yeah it feels like family sometimes, we all share a common secret" Nash said, knowing there were some of them who never talked to each other much before their transformations but this was something that bound them to each other and created bonds. He smiled as she called him amazing. "It keeps my day full" He said modestly. "You're pretty amazing yourself you know, taking to all of this so well"
"I know that I'd still love you even without the imprinting too, it would still be strong and great, this is just a little extra, to enhance the feeling, and give a little extra comfort when we're close together. A soothing of our souls when they're united" He said explaining it the best he could think of, but worrying it was ending up sounding more like a form of brainwashing or mind control than true love.
He nodded as she realized that was where he went at night. "Yeah, Sam lets me take a lot of the night shifts knowing about Travis and my job" He explained, feeling bad that he had to lie to her before, but grateful that everything was out in the open now, no more secrets. "We're always warmer than everyone else, it makes us not have to worry about getting cold, and explains why I never need a coat anymore...so if you're ever cold, I always have some warmth to share" He smirked.
"The healing helps if we ever get hurt, we're stronger so its harder to get hurt at all but if we do, we heal fast. " He said then nodded as she asked about aging. "During the time while we're changing regularly, we stop aging. If we continued being wolves for 100 years, we'd keep looking pretty much the same as we did at the age we first changed...If we stop phasing, then we'll start aging again"
It made Nash nervous to talk about the possibility of getting angry around her or Travis. It would be his worst nightmare to lose control and end up hurting either of them. "If I can keep my anger under control and not change, I'm fine...but there is that risk. I have control as a wolf too, but its just different...I wouldnt have thought it would be even something to worry about, but you should know it has happened before, a pack member has hurt his imprintee...a split second of lost control and he hurt her...they've moved past it, and are still together and in love but there are still scars from the attack...I'm not trying to scare you, or make you think you have to be careful what you say around me, you don't, but I can be dangerous, you should know that"
He nodded as she repeated his size. "Around there, hunters that have managed to spot one of us have thought we were bears..so i guess you can make your own comparison" He said. "There's over a dozen of us, we're pretty good at keeping our secret, so it's good that you havent seen anything before" "I'm sorry Dal, but you can't tell him, even if he can keep a secret, its against our treaty. The Cullens, the vampires in Forks, we keep their secret and they don't come on to the reservation. They also aren't allowed to feed on humans. And the other vampires, we'll get before they can get to your brother " He said hoping she would listen. The wolves relationship had been better with the Cullens lately, since the whole instance with the Volturi and Jacob getting close to the one, but as far as Nash knew, the secrecy part of the treaty was still in effect. He couldnt risk taking the chance that it wasn't. "I'll watch out for him too...and his girlfriend, her brother Leo, he's one of us...so I now he's watching for them too"
He smiled as he heard her laugh, glad she wasn't too stressed over the information to be unable to find any humor in the situation. Reading each others thoughts had been odd and amusing at times. "It can get embarrassing. You can try to block out as much as you want, its hard to hide much" He admitted, smirking as she asked what he'd be thinking about her. "They'll be hearing how great you are for accepting me, even after finding out I'm practically out of a horror movie. They already know how much I love you, probably sick of hearing about it, but the other imprinters get it, they're the same way"

Knowing he felt it was like a family made Lyndal feel happier about what he went through for the rez and his family, if he hated it she was sure she wouldn’t and couldn’t be so ok with the whole thing. “Full. I don’t know how you do it all.” She said shocked that he did manage it all and made it seem so easy that she hadn’t really suspected anything beyond him been extra tired some mornings. “I got a good teacher.” She smiled
“So that’s not just me that feels that?” She questioned knowing the soothing he spoke of and glad she wasn’t the only one who felt it. “Its like…” She shook her head gently finding it hard to explain the she got just been near him. “Its like, completion?” She said questioning the word and wondering if that was the best explanation she could come up with.
Lyndal knew he went somewhere certain nights of the week, she just didn’t know where or what for. He was extra tired some mornings. At first Dal wondered if he was going out on dates and maybe had a girlfriend of the Reservation, all that changed when they first kissed and she knew he didn’t have somewhere else; now it all made sense. “I used to think you were sneaking off for secrets dates.” She laughed nervously. Hearing about the temperature Lyndal nodded remembering the first morning she’d slipped into his bed and how warm his embrace had been. “Explains why you’re always less dressed then the rest of us, not that I’m complaining.” She smiled blushing in the darkness.
Lyndal was glad to hear of the healing, though she knew she’d still worry about him ever getting hurt. Hearing about the aging only raised more questions. “So if you keep changing you wont age, so you’ll look younger then me?” She said knowing it was a vain question. “Can you chose to stop or does it only happen if the Vampires leave?” She asked shocking herself with how easily the word came out.
There was danger, but Dal could never fear Nash. “I’m not afraid of you, I know you wont hurt me or Trav.” She smiled confidently though hearing a wolf had hurt his soul mate made her a little anxious. She didn’t ask who for fear of been nosey. “Don’t worry Nash, I know you could never lose control like that.” She said not wanting to push anything else that may worry him or herself.
The size he would become sounded impressive and shocking, Dal nodded as he mentioned the comparison. “so pretty big and hard to miss.” She smiled taking it all in as best she could. “I’ve never seen one of you and I’m pretty sure I’d remember that.”
“Cullen? No. Nash Laurie works with doctor Cullen at the hospital he looks up to the guy. You must be wrong, he’s a doctor.” Lyndal said shifting in the bed with shock and confusion; a vampire couldn’t be a doctor and be so close with her brother. When he spoke of Laurie’s girlfriend’s brother Dal nodded knowing of Leo. “He’s on too, so Laurie is totally in the dark. He deserves to know. They wont know I told him.” She said knowing she couldn’t keep something so big from her brother especially when everyone else was keeping things from him.
Sharing thoughts seemed very intimate and she smiled as he admitted the embarrassment. “I bet it is, maybe keep something just between us if you can.” She smiled hoping the others wouldn’t say anything even if they did know, but she knew she’d be tormented by Day if he knew anything. “You are not out of a horror movie unless you’re the handsome savior.” she said knowing he was more of the hero then the scary part. “Others, are there a lot of Imprinters? I love you too.” she said confidently.

"I don't always manage to balance it all that well, but I don't stop trying" Nash told her, knowing he wasn't perfect in dealing with all the aspects in his life. He was sure there were times when he neglected her or Travis, and made Day pick up the extra slack of their work. He smiled back as she said how she had a good teacher.
Nash smiled as she confirmed that she too felt the way he was describing. "No, and I'm glad that you do feel that way too, its hard to know how much of what I do you can feel too. " He nodded as she said it was like completion. "It is"
"Secret dates?" Nash said surprised, giving a light laugh. "No chance of that. I dont even look at other women that way since I saw you. Even if I had the time, I wouldnt be able to go through with it. You're the only one I want to go on secret dates with" He told her, knowing much of what they did was in secret, hiding from his family. He smiled as she said how his heat explained why he was always less dressed than the rest of them. "Yeah, that and when we change if we don't remove our clothes they get ripped to shreds, so less is more convenient...sorry if its kinda weird" He said hoping it didnt make her uncomfortable that he was frequently undressed.
"No, we wont age, so I could end up looking younger than you" He told her, though he knew he could never outlive her. " I can choose to stop, its just easier when they're gone and there's no danger...I do plan to stop someday" He told her, not even sure himself how soon that would be.
"I'm glad you're not afraid of me, and I hope I deserve the faith you have in me" He wondered if she should be afraid of him, to stay cautious of the things he could do. "I wouldnt have thought Sam could either, but he has to live with that now...I will always be careful around you but if you're ever afraid, I wont be hurt if you choose to run"
He laughed likely as she said how she was pretty sure she'd remember seeing him if he was as big as he said. His smile faded as he saw her anxiety as he mentioned the Cullens. He should have known that would have upset her, he didnt even think about how her brother worked with one. "Dr. Cullen's okay...he doesnt feed on people. He wouldnt hurt your brother, he might even be able to help keep him safe if anyone dangerous showed up. We've fought with the Cullens before, they're okay for leeches" He said, not able to help using the slang most of the pack did. Nash himself wasn't sure what to make of the vampires. "He can't know, he'll act differently or they'll find out, one of them reads minds, another sees the future, they're a bunch of freaks"
"I try to keep some of our moments private just for us" Nash told her, not wanting to think she had to worry about everything that happened between them being broadcast across the reservation. " You dont think I'm like the movie monster?" He said wondering if that would change once she saw his other form. Now he was still looking human. " There are a few other imprinters, people lucky enough to, but not all of the guys"

Talking about how the soul mate connection made them feel made Dal smile, it wasn’t ever something she’d thought about before meeting Nash. Love was as much as she’d ever hope for, but now been faced with everlasting soul deep love Dal knew she’d never settle for less. “When you’re near I feel calm and loved, but at the same time not complete til I’m in your arms.” She smiled shyly wondering how much she could say without sounding totally love struck. Completion was certainly the best word, it explained it all. “Is it always like this? Will the feelings ever change?” She asked wondering if they’d grow use to each other like other couples and stop feeling the deep connection.
Hearing that he didn’t even look at other women gave Dal a sense of pride that she couldn’t hide. “I don’t look at guys at all.” She said in agreement with him, most of the guys on the rez were his friends or pack brothers and the boys at school couldn’t distracted her when she was constantly thinking of Nash. “I honestly did, I figured you had an off rez girl or something.”
Moving on to talking about his body heat and half naked state Dal blushed, seeing him in a constant state of undress was something she was used to and liked, but talking about it made her blush. “I don’t mind how you dress, I kinda like it.” She said adding the latter a little quieter then the rest. “Guess you get through a lot of clothes with all the unplanned phasing?” She mused distracting form her statement about liking his body.
Hearing he didn’t age worried the vain part of Dal, worrying how it would be when she looked older then him even by a few years. “Maybe I like the idea of dating an older man.” She smirked. “You’re doing a job, don’t be ashamed of that or feel the need to stop.” She said liking the role he had as protector.
Sam, Lyndal knew he was kinda a group leader on the rez, but now she seemed to be finding out more and more about him and other pack members as they talked. “I couldn’t run from you, even if I wanted too. I know you wont hurt me.” She smiled touching his arm with another encouraging smile. “Sam hurt his Imprintee? I trust you and your temper, you have a lot of patients.” She complimented.
Talking about the Vampires scared Lyndal, she was afraid for her brother. Nash may think they were ok, but they were still vampires and her brother didn’t know. “Leeches? what is that? A pet name?” She asked flustered that he wouldn’t let her warn her brother regardless of who Nash thought was protecting or watching out for Laurie. “Mind reader? Ok the wolves I can deal with, but Vampires with freaky powers is crazy. Look I’ll trust you, but if it anything happens that puts him in danger then I’m going to tell him, but for now I trust you.” She conceded, she was telling the truth about dealing with wolves it was hard not to when she loved Nash so much.
Mind reading and keeping secrets made Lyndal smile at the very idea of them hearing each others most intimate moments, she just hoped it wouldn’t be her’s they heard about. “The movie monster was far uglier, your handsome and kind and from what you’ve said a pretty good looking wolf too. And you protect the whole tribe. Nope. No monster there.” She nodded confidently that he was most certainly the hero or atleast one of them. “Lucky is right.” she smiled. “If they don’t imprint can they still tell their loved ones what they are?”

Nash knew it was easier to talk to Dal about the imprinting than the wolf stuff. He already knew she cared for him before this, so to put a word on their feelings, and declare just how serious and permanent it was for him, was easy. "We'll always feel like this as far as I know, you dont grow out of imprinting and I dont think it fades, I know it wont for me" He said hoping she'd still feel the same way around him.
He smiled feeling comforted that she didnt look at guys either. It was a worry of him (and most of the wolves) that their imprintees could end up just seeing them as friends, or brothers. Poor Quil was dealing with that, though he knew it would be even more wrong if Quil's relationship with Claire was deeper at this point. But they still all had to wonder once Claire was an adult, would anything between the two of them change, or was their relationship already defined? Nash only hoped that time wouldnt pass and Lyndal would choose his friendship over something more, but he knew he'd gratefully take even that to just be around her. It was enough to keep him happy. "No other girls, promise" He assured her as she spoke of her assumption he had a girl off the reservation.
Nash saw her blush as he mentioned the reasoning for his state of undress at times, and hoped he wasn't embarrassing her too much. "When we first start changing we go through a lot more clothes, its harder to control, and you dont think ahead when you go out to patrol...but even now I still go through some" He said happy with how well she was taking to all of this, she could have just recoiled from the information but instead she was seeking out details and using the terms he did.
"I'll be older than you no matter how I look" He smiled back at her, but wondered if he didnt stop soon enough if she would think he looked too much like a kid, and want someone who looked older, and more mature. His smile grew with pride as she spoke of how she knew he was doing a job and he shouldnt be ashamed of that. "Someday I'll stop, when its safe. I like the thought of growing old with you"
"Thank you for your trust" Nash said wondering if he deserved it. "Sam didn't mean to...and he's got better control than most of us" He said knowing it was true of the alpha. "Sometimes I'm not sure I trust myself...I never want to do anything to hurt you, but I know it could happen...and you should be careful around me." Nash wasn't sure how he'd ever live with himself if he were in Sam's place. If he hurt Lyndal, it would destroy him.
"Sorry" He apologized as calling them leeches confused her. "It's what the guys call them" Nash watched her reaction as she took in the abilities of the vampires and wondered if this was all too much for one day. It was a lot for anyone to handle, but to dump it all on her in one conversation had to be overwhelming. "Thank you for trusting me, and I promise I'll watch out for him. He's important to you which makes him important to me" He said, grateful that she had agreed to at least for now, not tell Laurie about their secret. He knew it would cause problems.
"Maybe monsters can just be good looking too" He said still worried she'd view him that way, especially once she saw him actually change. But she seemed so confident already, and so soon after learning the truth. Even more than that, she said it was lucky. " If they dont imprint I dont think they're able to tell anyone. The only person I'm allowed to tell is you...maybe if one of the others got married who hadn't imprinted, if they had special permission from Sam, but I dont know if he'd allow it"

Imprinting sounded so romantic and a little kinky to Dal, like love at first sight with more strength and she easily found herself swept away and smiling at the idea of it all. “When I leave though…it’ll fade then? Get easier to deal with?” She asked knowing now that leaving was going to be heart wrenching for them both. She didn’t want to miss him everyday or think of the pain he would have missing her. “I don’t want to leave….” She said quietly, little above a whisper feeling the emotion crash in on her.
It had been easy for Dal to jump to the conclusion that he had another girl somewhere away from the reservation. She knew he was gone a few nights of the week and always so secretive, she also knew he was far more experienced and mature then she so him having a girlfriend somewhere wasn’t a far leap for her imagination. Hearing there was no one else There was no one else for her, no boys at school she was even interested in as more then friends and certainly no one on the rez she could even thing of in that way. “No boys for me either.” She said feeling it only fair to make the same announcement.
The ripping of clothes and the changing was all new to Dal, but she listened and tried to take it all in. “So I guess learning to sew would help?” She joked venturing anything to help and show him she was ok with all he was sharing. “Patrolling, work and Travis….its so much to do.” she said wondering if there was even time for the two of them not waiting to take any time from the other things he already had in his life.
It was all so long away, growing old and the aging, but Lyndal knew it was something to thing on and hope for. She also knew she had to go home at the end of the year and the two seemed to work against each other in her head. “I want to grow old with you too.” She said deciding it was too much for one night to talk about her legality and visas as well as his announcements of his true nature. “I’m proud of what you are and all you do.” She smiled.
Careful around him, Dal wasn’t sure she could ever put up an shield or barrier to protect herself from been herself with him. “I always feel safe with you, I don’t think we have to be careful. I trust you’re control.” she told him not wanting to ever feel she was treading on egg shells with him but wanting to be free and for him to be free with her. “There’s no fun in always been on your guard or trying to control everything, sometimes Nash you have to let go.” She told him with a smile of encouragement.
It sounded like a horrible term for them even if they were monsters and Dal dreaded to think what they called Nash and the pack. Knowing he’d watch out for Laurie reassured her and she nodded. “He’s always been important to me, I couldn’t imagine not having him around. When he left Australia it was horrible, I felt lost without him in my life.” She said thinking of Laurie and suddenly wanting to call him, but knowing it was too late. “I like having a brother. Trav should have siblings one day too, they’re important.” She told him not including herself in the future plan of giving Travis a brother or sister, though she hoped she would be the one to help in that.
“If your fishing for compliment Nashal Winters I’ll tell you you’re good looking any day, but you are not a monster.” She said with a stern voice and joking smile knowing he was more then good looking and more then happy to tell him so any time. “So Sam really is uncharged?” She asked wondering how it all worked with leaders and such, “what if you go against him and do something he said not too? Do you get kicked out or…” She asked not wanting Nash to ever get in trouble but curious.

Hearing her say the words, 'when i leave' felt heart wrenching on their own. Somehow Nash thought that by telling her all of this, and having heard she felt the same, that she wouldnt leave and wouldnt go back, even though he knew her home was in Australia. "It will never fade or get easier to deal with...its permanent...you can't go..." He said shaking his head knowing he couldnt tell her that. "I mean of course you can...but I dont want you to...I can't be away from you...please stay..or I can find a way to go with you...I just can't..." He said letting his voice drift off knowing it would be excruciating to meet his imprintee and then never see her again. He didnt know if he could live without her.
Nash smiled as she assured him that there were no other boys for her either. He knew she was an exotic beauty who could have attracted any of the boys at school she wanted, and could have decided to just keep a strong friendship with her imprinter. But it was a relief to hear it wasn't like that for her either.
He laughed as she suggested learning to sew, still amazed at just how well she was taking all of this. "You're amazing you know?" He told her with a smile, then nodded as she mentioned all he had to do. "It is a lot, but most days it works"
He smiled again as she told him she wanted to grow old with him and was proud of what he was and what he did. "Thank you Dal...you have no idea how much that means to me...I would have just been happy that you weren't completely repulsed by what I told you"
Her trust in his control was more than he deserved, and so sweet of her, but he had Emily's face in his mind. If Sam could lose control, it was possible that any of them could. Accidents happened. "I need to still be careful so that what I am, never hurts you"
He nodded as he listened to how important Laurie was to her and knew he would watch out for her brother as he did for her. He smiled as she suggested that Travis should have a brother or sister too. "Yeah, I think it would be nice for him" He said, hoping someday the two of them would have a child.
He gave a light laugh as she asked if he was fishing for a compliment. "That wasn't what I was doing, but thanks" He told her as she gave him reassurances that she did not see him as a monster. "Yeah, Sam's in charge, he's our alpha...and if its an order he's given us, then even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to physically go against it...like if I tried to explain to Travis tonight, everything about the wolves, my voice wouldn't work, itd just be like it'd be stuck in my throat. If we did go against him, I dont know...I guess we could get kicked out, or given extra patrols or something...but we'd probably have to leave the pack first to ever be able to go against him with more than just a disagreement or giving some attitude...but to leave the pack would mean to lose the connection to all the others, to be on your own"

Even saying the words hurt, Lyndal didn’t want to leave Nash. Even the thought of been away from him during the day at school left her partially numb. When Nash spoke his words were halted and she could hear the pain and pleading. “I don’t want to go back, but its hopeless with all the legal stuff…I don’t ever want to leave you.” She said hoping he’d hear the truth in her voice and her words as she looked at him wanting to make his pain go away. “I’m here now and I’ll do anything I can to stay and keep it that way.” She smiled thinking of how amazing it would be to stay with him on the rez forever.
“You haven’t seen my sewing yet, let me try then you can tell me if I’m amazing.” She smiled and joked liking the ease and comfort she had with him even about the more serious stuff. “Let me help if I can.” She told him wanting to support him as she knew two people in love should.
Even the idea of been repulsed by him seemed silly to Lyndal, she was a little confused and a little strung out by it all but she knew he could never repulse her. “I don’t claim to be a 100 percent ok with all this yet, but I want to be and even if I wasn’t I think repulsed would be the last thing I’d think and feel about you.” She said clearly not wanting him to feel concerned he was grossing her out of scaring her.
Dal nodded, knowing he was just been overly careful, but she appreciated the protection and comfort her offered her and wanted for her.
Talking about children gave her a jolt of future hope and love. “And for you too, to have a child and raise it with the mother.” She said knowing she could never abandon a child the way Travis’ mother had. “I’d stay..” She said gently reaching up to cup his cheek craving the contact as she said something so brave and loaded.
Realizing how strong an Alpha’s orders were took Dal’s breath away, she had no idea something could be so binding and she felt more and more privileged to be told about the secret he and the some other rez guys had. “You’ll never be on your own, but I know that loss of the pack would hurt you. I can hear how much it means to you when you talk about them.” She smiled glad he had such a strong pack of brothers around him if he didn’t have any complete family unit.
Leaning closer to his body and shifting on the bed Dal made herself comfortable against Nash’s half clothed and overly warm body, both things she was getting very used to. She yawned, trying to hide it from him not wanting to finish talking but to know more to let it all sink in. Her mind was still flooded with the dream and the images, but slowly they weren’t quiet so scary. “I think my dream mind had it all wrong then…I’ve nothing to be scared of with you here.” She smiled closing her eyes again, but still listening for his voice.

Nash didn't want to talk about Lyndal leaving and going back home. He didn't even want to think that it was a real possibility anymore. Could it really be? With everything they had between them. With Lyndal now knowing what he was and their true connection? How could they be apart? It just couldnt happen. "I don't ever want you to leave!" Nash agreed with her, his eyes pleading that she could stay. "I'll do whatever I can to make sure you don't have to leave, there are ways to get around legal stuff, I mean your brother's here, so it has to be possible"
Nash laughed as she lightened the mood by joking about her sewing before he started calling her amazing. "That you'll even try, for me...that's amazing" He told her, nodding as she said she wanted to help if she could. He'd never let her near what he was protecting the reservation from, but sewing seemed safe enough for her to try helping him.
"I think i'd be more than shocked if you were 100% okay with this already...honestly I dont know if I am yet and I've had a lot longer to deal with it" Nash told her, smiling as she went on to say that she wanted to be and that she wouldn't be repulsed. "I was so scared..." he admitted.
Talking about children with her felt right. The warmth in his heart seemed to swell a bit with love and anticipation. To have a family with her, and a child of their own, would be wonderful. He smiled, his eyes close to tears as she told him that things would be different and she'd stay to raise the child with him. "I would do things right with you...wait until we're both ready...try to be someone you'd want to stay with" He said giving a light smile as she cupped his cheek, cherishing the physical contact as much as the words she was saying. He hoped it was true, that if they had kids, she wouldn't want to leave him then too.
Nash could see the shock in Dal's eyes as he described the power that the alpha's orders had over him. He wondered if it made him seem weak to her, to have someone else in such control of what he could and couldn't do. But she needed to know everything. "I just don't know how I'd go through this without the other guys...they really are like brothers" He said nodding as she said she how much they meant to him.
Nash pulled her closer to him as she shifted to reposition herself against him. He thought he saw a yawn and worried he was wearing her out. It was a lot to handle emotionally which he knew could be physically draining as well. "Get some sleep if you're tired" He told her softly. "I'll protect you from anything"
