Character Basics
Name: Angelo Correale
Nickname:
Age: Appears late 20s; Actually 442
Appearance
Looks: A tall, brawny vampire, hosting a well-muscled torso. He is attractive, as all vampires are, with a constant five (or maybe even seven) o’clock shadow on his face. He retains a slightly olive complexion thanks to his Italian heritage, which is (of course) perfect. His hair is a little long and lies in tousled dark brown waves, which matches the thick, low set eyebrows that frame his narrow eyes. His eyes used to be a washed out green in colour, tending to complement his dark complexion, but now they are a frightening crimson in colour. His lips are full for a man and are easy to manipulate into a sneer, a snarl or a smile at will.
Scars, tattoos, other marks: Vampire bite mark scar on inner left thigh
Portrayed by: Eduardo Verástegui
Personality and Stats
Basic Personality: Angelo created the stereotypical artistic temperament whilst he was a human and he continues to be temperamental and almost frighteningly intense and passionate. He both loves and hates with mindless abandon and many of his works have ended up being crumbled into something less than dust, many more than survive to this day. Similarly, he can appreciate beauty, even in a human and often falls for their superficial beauty. This always, without exception, leads to the human’s death, though he has managed to increase his control to the point where he can at least begin a sculpture of the beauty that has caught his eye. Although he can often lose his rag and give in to rage, once the passion has expired he regains his sense of balance and always clears up after himself.
Species: Vampire

History:
Birthplace: Florence, Italy

History:
Born in Florence, Italy in 1564, Angelo was always a temperamental child. He was a bit of a test to his parents, respectable people of the community, his father an academic, his mother a kept woman. However, he showed brilliance from a young age in the artistic way and by the time he was sixteen he had already sculpted a fair amount. He could never be too successful, however, for his raging passion often ruined his creations. He would raze many to the ground when he didn’t capture the subject or the tone perfectly, whilst others he would horde away so as not to lose the captured perfection to the slobbering public.
His parents were both dead by the time Angelo was twenty years old, which was perfectly normal in this time and all four of his siblings had succumbed to disease or war over his lifetime. He was the last remaining Correale and so he took the opportunity to marry into a good family. He had no real need of a splendid dowry, though the fact that his wife was to pay him an annual fee from her father’s estate of 2000 lira, really did sweeten the deal. Possibly good for her, the woman did not spark much interest in Angelo’s urge to capture perfection, and so she remained safe from his fiery moods.
However, only two years after being unremarkably married, Angelo met his fate one night when away to a small village on the outskirts of a larger place called Volterra. He had been visiting a long-term model of his, one that had led him to produce his greatest pieces, most of which rested in his home, his bedroom. Luckily for her, he had never messed up any of the pieces based on her and they had worked off his artistic tension together. However, once he got to the village he noticed the eerie silence, the lack of light and noise emanating from the tavern, but he was unperturbed. He made his way to the little house that his mistress and model (most unusually) owned and grinned to himself as he heard her move.
A few short minutes later he was left writhing on the broken floorboards of the house, his model biting back. Perhaps luckily, she was interrupted in her attack on him by some other vampires and Angelo was able to claw himself away, even though the others didn’t seem to be concerned by him. A few days later he awoke a vampire and he began to wander Mediterranean Europe. He had no desire, no urge to travel back home and he was registered dead, allowing his wife to inherit his assets and she was able to sell his greatest pieces and remarry to a man that she truly loved.
Angelo, however, continued to wander, sculpting where he could and he enjoyed the fact that he no longer needed tools to mould the cold stone, but could use his fingers to shape the earth. As the years passed he managed to increase his tolerance to human blood enough to allow them to be his models and occasionally his lovers once more, but once he had captured their perfection, he had no need for them anymore and he left a wake of dead young women wherever he went (though it could never be traced back to anyone and never a vampire). Now he has returned to Volterra, happy in his life as a vampire and eager to see what this special community has to offer. Vampire women were the strongest, fiercest, most beautiful beings to exist and he now desires to make them his subjects.
