{....19-20 mths post Breaking Dawn....tag Matt and Kele....}
Pulling the red t shirt over her head Lyndal checked her self in the dresser’s mirror, before grabbing the black over shirt and pulling that one too. Layering was one thing she’d certainly learned to do while she’d been living in Washington. There was a lot of other stuff she’d learned and experienced that she never thought she would, getting married so young was something still to be experienced. Despite the age and the time she’d known Nashal, Dal knew she would never do it differently, since the moment she’d met him she’d loved him. Now she was been dragged wedding shopping by her best friend and soon to be sister in law, not that she didn’t love shopping it was just she was afraid of the kinds of dresses Matt and Kele would have her trying on.
Grabbing her purse and jacket Dal headed out into the living room to wait for the girls. The house was quiet and empty, something she still wasn’t used to with the normal hectic noise and adorable 5 year old rushing around. Travis was at the garage with his dad and uncle Day armed with coloring, reading books and his latest favorite action figures. It wasn’t just the silence she wasn’t used to, Dal wasn’t used to been with out them both. No matter how short a time they were apart a part of her always felt missing and incomplete, though she missed them both with Nash it was almost painful to experience.
Glancing at the clock Lyndal knew it wouldn’t be long before both her friends would be arriving. Kele had been an instant friend, they shared so much and had so much in common been both imprintees and fairly close in age. With Matt it had been different, harder with the initial jealousy she was sure they both felt. Lyndal had felt left out from so much in Laurie’s life and when she first met Matt she worried this new girl would come between her and her brother, but now she knew Matt she knew she would never do such a think. This would be a bonding experience for them all, Dal was sure it wouldn’t be too bad unless anyone suggested Meringue or train….both things she didn’t want.
Heading to the door Lyndal decided to check the weather and see if anyone was here yet, she could feel the excitement growing know that the dress she picked would put her one step closer to becoming Nash’s wife. When he’d asked her the thought of a dress had been the last thing, other things like Licenses, visas and the legality had taken the forefront. Now she was excited to do something wedding related that seemed a lot more fun then background checks and Visa forms.

Matt tilted her head as she looked into her dressing table mirror. Today she was off to go wedding shopping with Laurie’s sister, Lyndal and one of her friends that she hadn’t met in her time in La Push. She wasn’t entirely sure how comfortable she would be shopping with the two girls, even if they were actually closer to her own age than Laurie himself. She still felt guilty for the way she had blown up at her fiancé when she had caught him with Dal in the diner and although it wasn’t an issue between them (she wasn’t even sure that the other girl knew about it), she still felt guilty for her assumptions.
She looked down as her and Leo’s dog, Wolf, nosed his way into her bedroom. Dropping her hand so that she could run her fingers through the malamute’s long hair, she smiled at him – he always knew when to come and comfort his mistress. It was odd, really. Lyndal had been living with her fiancé before they even knew what there was between them, whereas herself and Laurie started off in a difficult situation and they still didn’t share a home (they wouldn’t until they married). Now Lyndal was the one in the difficult situation, having to marry in order to stay in the same country as the man that she loved, whereas she and Laurie had all the time in the world to do things how they wanted them.
“You keep your hair to yourself, mister,” she told her dog, amusement in her voice as she ruffled his head anyway. Wolf may have known when to comfort his mistress, but he liked to leave his mark on her too. However, not being sure whether Dal’s friend, Kele, liked dogs or was allergic to their hair, she ordered her dog out of the room and carefully brushed off the hairs that clung to her jeans.
Happy that she was as ready as she ever would be, she turned to leave her room and padded down to the ground floor of the Stone residence, sitting down on the sofa where she could see out of the window for anyone pulling up. She ran her hand through her hair, turning her other wrist to look at the time. It was still relatively early in the morning, but she enjoyed rising early. She smiled to herself, knowing that despite everything it would be a good day, and it would be good to socialise (something she had not done much of these last few months). And, even better, she got to see Laurie later.

Kele had been feeling a bit nauseous that morning and had gotten a late start leaving do the oh so pleasant morning sickness. She was supposed to be meeting Lyndal and Lyndal's future sister in law Matt for some dress shopping. She knew she'd be driving today and expected to be at least walking to Lyndal's to borrow Nash's car for the day, but as she got outside she smiled as she saw that the truck was already waiting out front. She headed back inside for a moment and saw that the keys were left on the counter. Day must have driven it over this morning before work to save her the extra walk. Already running late, it was greatly appreciated, even if the two didnt live far enough that she couldnt have just walked over in a few minutes.
Kele got into the driver's seat and put her hand on her stomach as another roll of nausea went through but quickly passed. "You better behave, today's about Dal not, let's find mommy a bathroom quick, got it little dude" She said using her husband's word.
In a few minutes she had pulled into Nash and Lyndal's driveway, she was about to turn it off when she saw the door being opened and Dal coming out. She waved as she reached over and unlocked the passenger door for her friend. "Happy Wedding Dress Shopping Day" She told her as she got in.

The weather was typical for the rez, overcast and cold. Lyndal caught sight of Nash’s truck and smiled, even though she knew it was Kele and not Nash she was still happy and excited to see her best friend. Lyndal figured on of the boy dropped it off knowing she couldn’t drive and Kele and Matt didn’t have cars. Grabbing her back from off the sofa Lyndal was quickly out of the door slamming it behind her. No one locked their doors on the rez not only was it a low crime community, but they had several large reasons to stay clean of the area.
Reaching the truck Dal pulled herself up and smiled at Kele. “Hey G’day.” She said brightly enjoying the warmth of the truck and the familiarity of it. “How you feeling?” Lyndal asked with another bright smile. Since finding out Kele was pregnant she’d been almost as excited as if it were her expecting a baby, part of her wished it was and she looked forward to the day she would be the one carry Nash’s child. Kele seemed to be having a normal pregnancy and Dal knew she was getting the best care after putting her in touch with Laurie to get a good doctor.
“So we need to pick up Matt, she lives here on the rez too. Remember I told you about her, she’d Laurie’s fiancée? I can call Laurie is we need directions, but she‘s one of the Stone twins they said it isn‘t hard to find their place. ” Lyndal jabbered on feeling suddenly nervous to be introducing Kele and Matt and hoping the two women got along. She liked them both and was actually happy with her brother’s choice of wife, she just hoped her two friends liked each other. “Then I’ve been thinking about dresses, and I’m thinking maybe not white. Its so cliché. And maybe something short, or long I don’t know. I’ve been changing my mind so much.” Lyndal laughed knowing she hadn’t really settled on anything for the wedding least of all the dress.

Kele smiled as Lyndal got into the truck, turning up the heat a little as she felt how cold the air was outside. "A little bit of morning sickness today, so that's why I'm late, sorry" She said apologetically, though knowing her friend wouldnt be mad at her. "But I already gave the little one a pep talk that the nausea's gotta stop for our day out"
She nodded as Dal reminded her that Matt lived on the reservation too. "I think I've gone by the Stone's house before...they have a dog I think" She said remembering seeing one in their yard. Kele was a bit nervous about making a good impression on Matt. She'd soon be family Lyndal and she was sure the two would become close. She wanted Matt to like her as well. She looked at her with surprise as she said not white for the dress. "Not white? Thats what weddings are for, when else would you wear a white dress...it may be the norm but there's a reason for it" She said not about to pressure her friend but offering up her opinion.

Jumping into the truck Lyndal was glad Kele automatically turned up the heating, neither of them native to the Rez they shared the same sensitivity to the cold temperature. “No worries, if you’re crook we can go dress shopping another day.” Dal said not waiting Kele to have to wander around all day if she wasn’t feeling so well. Laughing as Kele said she’s spoken to the unborn child she spoke through giggles. “You disciplined the unborn?” She asked.
“Yea I think Laurie said something about them having a dog, but I’ve never been to their house. Just kinda know where it is.” Dal explained hoping Kele could find it so she wouldn’t have to disturb her brother at work to ask for directions.
As the conversation move to the dress and they drove across the Rez, Dal shook her head. I want something unique, not traditional. I mean the relationship is hardly traditional.” she explained thinking more of something off white or just white but not traditional. “I don’t know what I really want. Maybe in this weather I’d be better in jeans.” She joked.
The rez was fairly small and the drive pretty quick. Looking out of the window Dal spotted a house that looked like what he brother described. “Is that it?” She as Kele hopefully.”

"No, today's good, I can handle it" Kele said not wanting her friend's day out to be cut short. She knew more and more she was feeling sick and tired during the day, but figured it was just all normal pregnancy stuff. She smirked as Lyndal questioned her disciplining the unborn. "Gotta start young, right?"
Kele nodded as she said Laurie may have mentioned something about a dog but she hadn't been to their house. "Yeah I'm pretty sure I've gone by it with Day before, he tends to point out the other pack member's houses" She said thinking she had a pretty good idea which house it was. It wasn't that far (none of the houses were really that far from each other) so she started in the direction she thought it was.
"Yeah but a more traditional dress might help balance things out a bit" Kele suggested. She loved the dress she had worn for her wedding but wondered what it would have been like to get one of those traditional white dresses, and plan out a wedding with their friends there. She laughed as Lyndal suggested maybe she'd just wear jeans. "Oh no, no way am I letting you get away with that, you're gonna remember this day forever, make it special"
Kele looked over as Lyndal asked about the house she thought was the Stone one. She nodded. "Yeah I think so" She said pulling over and into the driveway. "Hope so at least"
