History:
What born in a time period where Gentlemen were Gentlemen, and dating was proper, and you fallowed the rules of propriety. Zarina Elexa Gabriella Gregory was born to Maria and Warren Gregory, during a solar Eclipse of the sun. Many of the villagers, in the small Pennsylvania colony believed that the child was the product of the devils work, and others believe that she was a blessing from god. Zarina’s mother was in labor with her for three long days, many thought that she would die, taking Zarina with her. Her father paced anxiously outside her door, finally when he couldn’t handle any more of his wife’s screaming he went to into her chamber. The doctor and mid-wife, her appalled, it was just not done during those times. Thirty minutes later, Zarina was born, healthy and very pink, and her mother just as healthy. She was often told by her mother several times that it was her father presence in the room that helped her deliver safely, her mother and father loved one another very dearly. So much that they had two more children a boy and a little girl.
Zarina’s mother and father tried there best at making there children’s lives happy, her father was a blacksmith, and of course her mother stayed at home and saw that the house was ran smoothly. Life was peaceful, but life has a way of not staying one way for too long. When Zarina was 10 years old the French and Indian war broke out, It was the first war that the colonist fought in the new world. Unrest, panic, and fear spread through out the colonies like a wild fired. Many men went off to battle, and lost there lives. Her father left when she was 11, it was the last time she would see him. Her mother never really got over her fathers death, she mourned him in her own way. Several months after they had word that there father had died in battle, her mother opened her house up to wounded soldiers, and her, her sister, and her little brother tented to them. She did odd jobs here and there, and took some of the stress off her mother. As the war was coming to a very slow and bloody end, it was a on a stormy night she lost her life. A wounded man had been brought to the house, she watched over him for three days, she listened to his agonizing screaming, and tried her best to soothe him. Her mother had urged her daughter to go up to bed and let her take watch, she was so tiered that she didn’t have the strength to argue with her mother.
She was woken up to a blood curdling scream, she bolted out of bed and down the stairs. There was a strange man moving through out the house, killing everyone. He moved to her and latched on to her neck, she fought, and so did others. While he was draining her of her life several of the wounded me tried to grab hold of him, the man snarled and dropped her like she was nothing more than garbage, and attacked the men. She dragged her self to there basement stairs her whole body writhe in agony, she rolled down the stairs and laid at the bottom of the stairs wishing for death. She woke up three days later very changed and different. She found her mother, brother, sister, and everyone in the house dead. She felt so many emotions at once hate, rage, pain, sorrow, regret, and heartache, it was almost as strong as the ache in her throat. She fed off of several people in the village before she moved on.
Life after that passed in a whirlwind of colors and imagery, the roaring 20’s had to be her very time period. It was a time were women were embrace there sensuality, and the holds they had over men. The 60 were some what like that as well, only with more sex, drugs, and alcohol. During the 30’s Zarina moved to New York, she didn’t particularly care for the city. It was dirty and overly crowded, but the overcrowdings made it easier to feed.
Out of sheer boredom one day, during this time she’d decided that she would be come a hit woman. Prohibition was in full swing, and the mafia ran much of New York, It wasn’t hard to find work in the city. She found her new job thrilling to stalk her prey, just like she did when she hunted, would often leave her feeling like she was coming down of a high. She at times took jobs for other vampires, and sometimes for humans. She never came in contact with these humans, but did most of her dealings over the phone, the humans would wire the money to her account and she would take care of there problem.
Zarina lived in there world, but never apart of it. She moved from place to place, feeding off those she deemed not worth of living. Always there but never apart, she soon grew bored, even though she’d embraced she’d become, there was always that part of her that missed her family, and longed to find the love she saw so many vampire couples had.
