Aro sat in his rather large study reading a book about the ancient Egyptians and their unusual culture. He was fascinated with them. He finished reading, closed the book, and walked towards the window. He couldn't get too close because some of the sunlight was seeping through the window onto the floor. He didn't want to give away their world to some pondering visitor looking at the castle. He was looking at the crowd at the town square when suddenly he sensed and unfamiliar presence around the castle. Who was this new shadow in the dark? Aro walked down the stairs and down to the guard quaters. Sitting there on a bench was a lovely young vampire women by the looks of her. She looked like one. She smelled like one. Well, then she must be one. Aro walked over to her and gave a little head nod and said, "Hello there. My name is Aro. I am the leader of the Volturi. How can I help you?" All he needed to do was touch her and he would know exactly what she was here for, which begged the question: Did this women have a power? Aro would know soon enough.

Something was different about the castle. For weeks, months even, Theora had watched the place and the village. The humans had been little interest in her, but her own kind were easy to pick out. She’d watched them as they’d gone about their routines, leaving after dark to hunt. Looking inside the castle had been harder, without a connection to someone there (like a previous meeting) Theora found it hard to draw her minds eye within the thick castle walls.
Now she was where she had been trying to see. Never had she expected there to be such a vast social system within the thick castle walls, let alone within the species she had become. Sitting and waiting Theora couldn’t help closing her eyes and letting them see around the rest of the castle.
His voice startled her, but it was his rank and address that intrigued her. Opening her eyes feeling disorientated at been caught unawares Theora regarded the man before her. He was old in years, but they didn’t ware on his face something their kind were blessed with. Looking at him Theora replayed his words, he was a leader of the a coven she’d heard of from others of her kind in passing. Never did she expect to be in their company. “I am Theora.” She nodded in returning as she stood and turned to him without moving closer. She felt no reason to fear him, but caution was a gift to use in new situations. “I appear to have stayed into your territory, introductions were called for.” She smiled slightly remembering it never hurt to be polite to those in power.

((Sorry for the short post. My computer is acting up so I didn't know how much i would be able to fit before it messed up or crashed.))
"Indeed they were. What brings you to Volterra this fine day?" Aro said with souch majesty. He always tried to lift himself up as much as possible. Aro loved power and he love to let others know he was in power. This Theora character was a bit facinating to him. He wondered what kind of power she had. Of course he wanted to know so he could have it for himself but that was who he was. He was greedy for new abilities. He smiled politly at Theora and motioned her to walk with him. "As I said before, what brings you to my hime on this lovely day? What can I do for you?" He said with a charming smile.

OOC: No worries, hope you get the computer fixed Looking at this man again Theora could see his age was easily measured in centuries if not millennia. His skin was pale, paler then their kind had normally and it had a translucent appearance to it that compelled her to want to reach out and touch it, wondering if it was a thin as it appeared. Of course Theora did no such thing, to touch anyone uninvited was rude and she was sure if she touched this man it would be dangerous and possibly even deadly.
His voice commanded power and majesty, Theora answered trying to pull herself together after the shock of been caught off guard before answering. “I was curious to see what went on within the walls of such an ancient castle. I was drawn here by the sheer number of our kind.” She told him, honest in both respects but holding out on any further information about herself. Theora was guarded at the best of times, now more then ever.
The look was polite, but Theora wasn’t completely fool she knew their kind didn’t come into power simply by been polite. Hearing is question once more she wondered if this elder had a gift and if he already knew of hers, was that why he question her appearance there? “I was intrigued. Our kind so rarely live together in peace. I wanted to see how it happened.” She told him again honestly. “I hoped to observe for a while.” She said dropping the smile trying to keep the double meaning from her words.
