(OOC: This thread starts in LaPush but the intent is that most of it will be in the hospital so its been started here)
(Post-Eclipse)
Cole hung up the phone. His hands were shaking in a bit of fear. He had checked with the nurses at the hospital to make sure Dr. Cullen was in today. He had been putting off going to the hospital for a long time now. Since his transformation, he knew the cancer was gone. He could feel that. His energy levels were better than ever, and he felt strong, and just healthy. But there was still always that nagging fear in his head about if his heart condition could handle the stress associated with his lifestyle as a wolf. Could it take the increased pressure? He had felt a few palpitations now and again, but had still been able to do everything the other guys could. Cole just wondered if he was pushing himself too hard, that one day it would be too much. And if it was, could he ever go back to just being human all the time, without the cancer coming back and taking him this time, as it probably would have on its last bout.
Cole knew that Dr. Cullen was the only one he could go to about these issues. None of the wolves were doctors, and unfortunately Dr. Cullen was the only other one who knew about their circumstances, even if he was a vampire. Cole was always torn as to how to feel about the Cullens. He had seen Carlisle in the hospital before he knew what he was, and he thought he was a good doctor. But it was ingrained in Cole's genes to be predisposed against the vampires, and not trust them. Most of the guys didnt trust the Cullens at all, even after working together with them.
Cole knew he had to at least tell his brother where he was going and who he'd be talking with. Elan would understand, though he had a feeling he wouldnt like knowing about a trip to the vamp. Cole went to Elan's room and knocked on the door.
