Character Basics
Name:Frederick Charles Cresswell
Nickname:
Age:turned at 28 in 1821
Appearance
Looks: As a young man rising in society, Frederick was considered a handsome man. When he was turned, his pleasant features were only amplified. His unruly, curly hair and tall stature were preserved, he only traded his green eyes for red ones.
Scars, tattoos, other marks:
Portrayed by: Hugh Dancy
Personality and Stats
Basic Personality: Genuine narcissism and intelligence complement Frederick's defective moral compass. Only greed and power are worthy of his time and effort. These were the main things that he brought with him into his new life. As a young man, he was always known to be quiet and observant, but when called upon to speak he would reveal the extent of his observations and what he concluded from them. He prided himself in knowing how people were expected to react, and it was his greatest tool when weaving in and out of social circles as he guided himself and his sister through nobility. As he got older and more obsessed and involved, his schemes became more dangerous with more intricate deceptions and, once, murder.
While he now survives on humans, he is also still intensely interested in them as subjects of manipulation. Vampires are more cunning, but every once in a while he finds one that is as dense as a human. He still prefers to observe and plan, making his kills flawless, even elegant. He detests dirt, poor manners in ladies and being called Fred. Sarcasm had always been considered rude in his time, but now he is able to flaunt it when he pleases.
Species: Vampire
Abilities: standard vampire charms and abilities
Occupation:
Car:
History:
Birthplace:London
Family: Sister, Amelia, dead; mother and father deceased when they were children
Friends:Christian Pitt, sorta..
History:Born into a family of small fortune, Amelia and Fredrick's father had accustomed them to a lifestyle they couldn't afford. After their death when he was only 15, Frederick learned that the Cresswell name had been tarnished by debt. But by that time, Frederick had learned much of the world, and he was able to secure a comfortable living situation for his sister and himself with a rich aunt, the first of his cons. It was evident that fortune and connection was the only way in life, and Frederick used his charms and god looks to use. In just a few years, he had maneuvered himself to be his Aunt and Uncle's heir, as well as making his sister a Baroness. Whatever he did to get there was irrelevant, he and his family were comfortable and safe from the clutches of poverty.
Frederick and Amelia were well loved within their circles. Though Amelia only attributed it to luck and good manners, Frederick alone was the mastermind and would never have imagined letting his pure minded sister the schemes that had secured their status. He had fabricated a trip on 'business' to get himself away from the last young lady he had seduced out of amusement, he ran his carriage all night towards London until it stopped abruptly. He only heard a few rustles outside, and when everything was silent he went outside. He saw a lady, more beautiful than any of the ones he had shamelessly flirted with. The next thing he remembered was writhing in pain for three days and finding everything different. He lost track of time in his newborn rage, feeding everywhere he could. It wasn't for a few years that he remembered who he had once been.
Seeking his sister, he was barely able to approach her without attacking. Though Amelia had never had a tenth of Frederick's intelligence, she knew there was something very wrong. He told her what he was, and offered her the same. She cursed him as a work of the devil and demanded that he leave her. Enraged and heartbroken by the rejection of his only family, he swiftly fed on her husband and all her children, leaving her to die childless and a widow.
Frederick spent many years working to control his thirst around humans. They were now his prey, but he had never lost the interest in toying with them. Personalities had been run to pick apart and corrupt.
