Personality and Stats
Basic Personality: On the outside, Alaina appears to have the perfect life. She's got friends, gets good grades, and participates in several extracurricular activities from cheerleading, to soccer, piano lessons and drama class. She's an overachiever in her school and personal life, wanting everything to be perfect. She seems self confident and is a definite no-nonsense type of girl, seeing through people's bull pretty easily and not afraid to call them on it. She acts like a bit of a tomboy but has a feminine touch to her style.
Underneath it all, Aly is dealing with the secrets of her far from perfect home life. She's anxious at home, which is why she never wants to be there, though she'd never admit that as a reason for her activity at school. She doesnt want people to see she's unhappy, but she also has trust issues. Superficially she'll be friends easily, but her best friend Dakota is the only one she's really let in in a long time. Though occasionally she'll open up a little to Gabe, if he's not annoying her at the time.

History:
Home was never a calm place for Aly to be, though she loved her parents. They fought a lot growing up and there was always tension. She often felt like she was in the middle, having to take sides when she didnt want to. Early on she learned it was easier to not be home more often than you needed to.
Luckily for Aly she had made a great friend early in life. Dakota was like her other half. The girls have their similarities but also complimented each other perfectly. They quickly became besties and have remained so since Dakota's lived in Forks. Aly knew she's been lucky to have her as a person to turn to.
Her parents divorced right before she started high school. Recently her mother has remarried, to a man that she hates. She doesn't think he's right for her mother at all and knows she can do better (someone more like her father). Recently the guy has started acting inappropriately towards her. Looking at her the wrong way, touching her a little too intimately for too long and making comments no step-father should make towards his step-daughter, or any other 17 year old girl. She's felt more and more uncomfortable at home. Though she wishes she could use this as the excuse her mother needs to dump him, she sees how much her mother cares for him and knows that she'd never believe Aly anyway, as she already told her before these incidents that she didnt like Bob. Aly just hopes now that they dont get any worse.
