Cole couldn't help but feel a bit happy to learn that she had gotten along better with him than his brother. He laughed as she described him as cocky. "He can come off that way at times, but honestly, he is a good guy too" Cole said, loving his brother and knowing he had his own reasons for acting the way he did.
Cole did catch her comment about being odd but not in a good way. He didnt see that from her, even if she thought so. But she didnt seem to want to talk about that, having said it so quietly in the first place. He listened more attentively and concerned as she answered his question about hurting herself. He was worried for her, and could practically sense off of her that she had a lot she was dealing with, he just hoped she was dealing with it in a healthy way. He was relieved to hear she hadn't hurt herself, even if she did add in that word...Yet.
"Maybe your brother doesnt care, but I do...and I'm glad you havent...yet." He told her sincerely, thinking it a bit odd she was smiling as she said it, while he was there worried about her safety. "Its always a possibility...hell, I've considered it" He said honestly, knowing when he was at his sickest from the treatment there were days he just wanted the pain to end, and to stop being a burden on his family, but he hadn't gone through with it. "But lots of things are possibilities, and I hope you never do decide to hurt yourself"

Taymos smiled a little, and nodded some at Cole. "Yes...he's a little interesting. He doesn't seem like a bad person," she said, scrunching her nose a bit, "but if he happens to cross me - I think I'll know if he is of negative or positive influence, person, et cetra. I still doubt it though..." She said, her voice quiet and she was half talking to herself. No, the girl had not forgotten that she was in company. This just happened when she was musing in the presence of another being, and she often was quiet - regardless of company being present or not.
Her eyes studied him as he took in her answer as for whether or not she had inflicted harm upon herself. He seemed to be concerned, and she didn't exactly understand why. She was her own self - she could make her own decisions and control her own actions.
Concern from others was something she had learned to avoid, now.
"Kind of hard to say you care for me when you've known me for less than an hour - but still, I guess I could say the same since I consider you a friend already. But, really, it's no big thing...much." She said, grimacing a bit to herself - mainly. But, she raised an eyebrow at Cole. Tay sighed, and then shrugged a little. "Doesn't everyone consider it at least more than once in their life? Even if they won't admit it?" She said lightly, resorting to looking at her hair and playing with a strand of the long, dark brown, wavy hair that was hanging in front of her face.
She gave a small smile, and nodded toward him. "I could say the same for you, Cole Rivers. So, how 'bout we make ourselves a lil' deal?" Taymos said, her voice slightly playful but she was actually dead serious.
Her hand that had been playing with her hair was placed out in front of her with her palm facing up.
"You don't hurt yourself - I don't hurt myself. Deal?"
