Age: turned in 2001 at the age of 25

Looks: Aaron can best be described as a pretty boy. As a human he was always easy on the eyes, and this was enhanced greatly when he became a vampire. His has dirty blonde hair and brown eyes once upon a time, but now they are crimson like your typical vampire. He is toned and muscular, taller than your average guy but nowhere near towering. He also has a smile that can warm the heart and he tends to have a doe-eyed look that gives him the impression of an innocent puppy dog, something that comes in handy when he wants to lure the ladies in to feast upon.
Scars, tattoos, other marks: scar on his shoulder from where Sherise bite him, thus turning him.
Portrayed by: Ryan Kwanten
Personality and Stats
Basic Personality: Aaron is and never was the brightest crayon in the box. He always had enough common sense to get by, but he was never a great student growing up and most intelligent jokes or thoughts tend to be lost on him. He's a fun-loving guy, thought a bit dim, but that never deterred him from being charming and cordial. Even as a vampire, he believes in treating a lady well...that is, until he kills her to eat her. He wishes he was smarter, and sometimes it pains him whenever people made fun of his lack of smarts, but what he lacked in smarts he made up for with brawn. He loves life, sex, playing games of any sort, chasing after prey, and slapstick humor is one thing that is never lost on him.

History
Birthplace: Calhoun, Georgia
Family: Dad - Brian Autry
Mom - Laura Autry
Brother - Jim Autry
Sister - Jennie Autry
Friends: Sherise
History: Aaron was born the second child of Brian and Laura Autry in Calhoun, Georgia in 1976. Growing up he was always running, spending all his time outdoors, getting dirty and playing sports. His dad signed him up for little league when he was smitten with the game from the beginning. Though he was never a great student, often bringing home Cs and Ds and the occasional F grade, he made up for it by being a star athlete all through junior and senior high, often overshadowing his older brother Jim's academic achievements.
He was pitcher for his high school's varsity baseball team and when a scout for the University of Florida offered him a full ride to the school to play ball for them, he jumped at the chance; his dream to make it to the pros. Unfortunately during his second semester at U of F, he tore several ligaments in his right, pitching arm during a game. His injury required surgery but the extent of the damage was beyond repair in that what could be fixed would leave him unable to play baseball again.
Not able to play ball, and without the grades, he lost his scholarship and flunked out of college after only one year. He returned home, completely at a loss for what to do next with his life. For the first time in his life, he was no longer the favorite son for he had no more achievements for his father to boast about, and instead his parents turned to Jim who was on the Dean's list at Georgetown and graduating Magna Cumme Laude the following year. Even his sister Jennie who would be starting college in the fall was excelling academically. It seemed Aaron had become his family's village idiot overnight.
He soon went to work at his dad's car lot, and he seemed to find a decent niche for himself. Ever the charmer of ladies with a pretty face, he made a lot of sales. He got his own place when he was twenty-two, sharing an apartment with two friends, more often than not bringing home one or two girls at a time to spend the night with. But something was always missing. When he overheard his dad telling Jim the car business would be his one day, despite the fact that it was Aaron bringing in the sales. When Aaron confronted his father about this, his older Autry insisted that Aaron was the face of the business but he didn't have the know how to run it, which was where Jim came in.
Deeply hurt by his own father's lack of trust in his ability to do anything of importance, Aaron quit and moved away, settling down in Biloxi, Mississippi. He got work at a construction company, and when he wasn't working, spent his nights drinking and partying and bedding pretty girls. But he was never good with numbers or balancing a check book, or even paying his bills on time, so it really came as no surprise when he was evicted from his apartment.
It was during the coming weeks he spent sleeping on friends' couches or in his truck that he found himself wandering away from a bar, quite drunk off his ass. He walked off toward the small lake behind the bar for a nightly swim. He took off all his clothes and jumped into the water, surrounded by darkness; not even light from the moon to help. He swam around until he reached the other side of the lake, unaware of the extra presence nearby.
What happened next is a blur to him now. As he clamored to the bank, he felt something push him roughly to the ground followed by a burning pain in his shoulder, like he'd just been cut by a flaming talon. He was sent into some sort of shock then, writhing in sheer pain and agony as the fire shot in every direction of his body. At some point he passed out and everything was dark. When he came to, he found himself propped up in some sort of tool shed and everything felt different, but better. Everything he looked upon was sharper and more crystal clear. He heard things more easily; he could probably hear blades of grass growing if he paid enough attention. Mostly he felt the strength and the grace of his movements, and the burning hunger in his throat.
As he tore from the shed, he stopped in his tracks when he laid eyes upon a crimson eyed black woman standing before him, completely gorgeous and seemingly impatient with him. She soon explained everything to him; that he was a vampire now, and she had changed him. She explained the rules of how to conduct himself as not to draw attention to them. He didn't necessarily fall in love with her, but she was the first person to give him the opportunity for a second chance at becoming something better than he was. And while his dimwittedness can occasionally iriate, she's the one person who never makes him feel stupid. And for that, he loves her. He has since followed her wherever she's wanted to go, completely happy to be her mate. And although he is still young and making mistakes from time to time, he knows he will learn to be better.
