Rosalie felt the rumble of her Emmett's hearty laugh sooth her heart. He was always so happy and light-hearted as any other being she'd ever met. She wondered how it was that he can look at anything and everything with such acceptance and grace. And that wasn't the greater part of the wonder. The best part was that whatever Emmett felt or thought, he did not expect her to feel as he did. In fact, he very much expected the opposite and did not think less of her for it even when she was harsh, or even rude. She shook her head slightly, making a smile appear on her elegant face. "If I strike you out, I get to paint your jeep in a nice magenta color," she said, with a little grin, waiting for his end of the bet. She ignored his inquiry as to what Carlisle and Esme were talking of in low voices. She had tried to hide what she was thinking, but her soulmate was so familiar with her that nothing escaped him. She instead, kept her attention on their bet.

Emmett shrugged as she clearly ignored his question about their parents. He knew his Angel well enough that if he pushed the subject she'd blow up at him, and he didn't want to be in her bad books today of all days. He enjoyed the base ball that they occasionally got to play. He enjoyed the little wagers he and Rose would have. It kept even the most boring of games interesting.
He looked at her in wide eye shock when she mentioned his jeep. "My jeep? Pink?" He asked shaking his head as his pretend shock grew into a huge smile. "Then you better play hard to win this bet, babe."
He closed the gap between them as his last comment hung in the air. "And when i get you out, which i will." He nodded "I get to choose out next wedding theme and honeymoon. I always like the idea of the Peru Jungle after a very plain ceremony." He finished the though with a serious look that quickly gave way to a smile.

The smile on Rose's face became more natural, letting him take her away from the whispers and thoughts of the human. He was the only one that could do that, and the only one she'd let try. She didn't like any of it, but she knew Carlisle still expected to be... not cruel. It would be hard, but it was easier to be distracted as long as Emmett was with her.
"Pink," she repeated, with a taunting nod. "And I always play hard," she added suggestively. She raised an eyebrow as he stated his terms for the bet, slightly appalled at what her next wedding could possibly look like. He had never really too much involvement in the planning, he always played along easily because he knew it made her happy. His smile threw her off, but she still knew that he was mildly serious. She needed to win. "Deal," she said, indifferently offering her hand to shake on it, trying to hide her grin.

Watching that beautiful smile settle across her face would have made Emmett’s stomach summersault had that been possible, instead it just did things to other parts of his body. Her suggestive reply to his ‘play hard’ comment did little to relax the feeling. He was serious about their bet; he was a very competitive guy, even with her, though with her it was always fun winning or losing. However, he didn’t want his truck pink, but shocking her with boring wedding plans would be fun. It was hard for him to keep the smile he felt from dancing on to his lips.
As she held out her hand to seal the deal he looked down at it and smiled a lustful playful smile. He could see her own smile lightening up her already illustrious face. He reached out and clasped her hand lightly, and then in a firm pull he pulled her to him and wrapped his other arm round her back still holding her hand in his that were trapped between their bodies.
“A bet like this needs a kiss to seal it. There’s a lot riding on this little game.” He said seductively, “I got my baby to think about.” He said looking into her eyes, “And I don’t want my baby pink.” He said as a wide grin spread across his face and he leaned into kiss her.

Edward let out a roaring laughter, thouroughly amused by the idea that Bella would be able to teach him how to drive. He had driven for a century and she had probably only had her license a year or 2 at the most, yet she would instruct him on how to drive. "I'd be interested to see what you think you could teach me...but I think that'd be the extent of any driving lesson you'd give me" He told her joking, hoping she wouldnt be offended.
He smiled as she spoke of sticking to the rules with Charlie around. "That is true, I dont want to get on his bad side" He told her, no more humor in his tone. It was his every intent to keep Charlie liking him...or at least tolerating him. "I think today went well, dont you?" He asked, wondering what she had thought of his meeting Charlie earlier.
Edward smiled further when she asked him about the storm. "We need the thunder as a disguise...we tend to create a lot of noise playing...you'll see" Edward drove the jeep just a little further but then had to stop it, knowing there wouldn't be a good enough path for the rest of the trip. "We'll have to run the rest of the way...but its not too much farther"

Bella wrinkled her nose at Edward’s laughter, though her own soon joined his. She loved to hear him laugh, even if it was at her expense, though she wouldn’t allow him to enjoy this idea of her without a fight. She was a good, careful driver! There was nothing wrong with that, she didn’t see the need to be driving around at over a hundred miles per hour, even if she could be sure of not hitting anything or getting caught.
“We’ll see…” she muttered softly, knowing that she would never have the confidence to really tell Edward what to do anyway. He knew so much more than her, had experienced so much; that wouldn’t stop her from expressing her displeasure when she felt it though! “You’ll have to start thinking of the squishy human company you keep these days.”
She listened, immediately registering the lack of humour in his tone as the conversation turned to her father, and she extended him a gentle, proud smile. “It couldn’t have gone better,” she told him, honestly, even if she was only referring to his own behaviour. She was pleased her father hadn’t actually turned the gun on Edward or done anything too ultra-embarrassing, she just didn’t understand why his backseat parenting (which she was completely fine with) had to go out the window as soon as she brought a boy home! “You were the perfect gentleman – he couldn’t imagine a better man for me…”
She laughed embarrassedly, flushing at her own words and turned back to the window, even though her human eyes could pick nothing up out of it other than the rushing dark silhouettes of trees. She looked back, however, as Edward pulled over and told her that they would have to run. Her stomach squirmed a little at the prospect of possibly arriving in front of his family with a green face. Well, so long as she didn’t vomit on Rosalie’s shoes, it should be alright. She couldn’t help but look at Edward with slightly nervous, timid eyes, though and busied her fingers with trying to free herself from the buckles of the harness.
“Okay,” she said, eventually, trying to sound more enthusiastic than she felt. She took a deep breath and turned to the door, finally free of all the straps.

The air had gotten colder around them, a slight chill, but the combination of rain and sweet smell of pine was enough to make Alice want to leave the game, and take a walk. Ever since she and Jasper had joined their current family it had been one step at a time for the both of them. Though, the vegetarian lifestyle was much harder on her lover than for her. She’d grown accustomed to it. Alice had molded it to be who she was now. It had helped her understand humans and the love for them had grown with her understanding that it helped her love Bella.
They would be here soon and the game would begin though she’d already known that she’d be on a team with Edward and Emmett. Esme would be the catcher for the game, watching to make sure they didn’t cheat, while the other three would team up.
Alice was pitcher for this game today while her brothers played in the field behind her. The clouds had darken considerable nearby but it wouldn’t rain in their little pasture at all. It would be perfect and still the rain smelt wonderful that if Edward and Bella didn’t get here soon enough. She’d seen Bella’s decision to go with Edward’s form of transportation to the field and it made her laugh. To anyone else it would have looked a little strange, of course at school people had labeled her beautiful yet very weird, that she laughed at nothing in particular but to her family it was just another day in the life of living with a seer.
Alice’s vision left her quickly as she looked around, wondering when Jasper would be around, they’d need to practice a few pitches before the game would start.

Jasper had been a little late in getting to the game, preoccupied with feeding again before heading to the open field. Whenever Bella was planned to be around, he always took extra precautions and made sure to satisfy his thirst so that he would be less tempted to slip up. An accident wouldn't be acceptable this time. She wasn't some random human that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. She was important to the family now, and he couldn't risk her life at any cost. Edward would kill him, but not before he attempted it himself.
The trees whipped by him as he ran through the forest in the direction of their makeshift baseball field. Essentially all they had done was throw out a few mats to each base and made a pitcher's mound in the centre. There was no need for boards - their hits would go far beyond a normal human's range and therefore their boundaries were much farther out. Due to Edward's speed, it was actually rare that any of them achieved a home run. His brother was faster than everyone else, and that was an incredible advantage for whoever's team he was on. Unfortunately, the teams had already been made up and today Jasper would be playing with Carlisle and Rosalie.
Coming upon the field, he noticed immediately that Edward and Bella weren't there yet. A little breathing room would be good before she arrived, a chance to get his willpower ready before being assaulted with the tempting scent of her blood. How Edward could be in such close proximity with her all the time and not give in, he didn't know. All blood smelled the same to Jasper, as equally tempting, but it was still a temptation he had to fight.
Alice stood in the middle of the field, and he immediately went to her, wrapping his arms around her small waist from behind. He tilted his head slightly and rested his chin in the crook of her neck as he pulled her against him. "Hello, love." He said quietly, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek. "Sorry I'm late. Are you ready to lose?" A cocky smirk crossed his features as he teased her, already pumped up for the game that was sure to start soon - or whenever Edward decided to arrive.

"Ready to lose?" He hadn't just said what he had said did he? Alice laughed, pressing her back into him, embracing the warmth of his skin against her and the feel of his body. It was great that he'd finally arrived since Bella and Edward would be here soon enough and the game would go as planned. The thunder had finally reached a point where it would be easier for them to strike and since Alice was the pitcher she would know when it was best to pitch to the family. "I think your mistaken Jazz," she purred, "I think you should be ready to lose," his cocky smirk was hard to resist but they were the one of the only couples that wouldn't show any public affection. It was rare moments like this that she cherished. "It'll be a little while before Bella and Edward make it here even with his speed, poor Bella, but lets get in a few practice pitches while we can! It'll help me warm up to kick your butt," she returned his cocky smirk, "and there will be a prize to whomever wins," of course Alice knew the outcome already.
Removing herself from his arms Alice took the ball she had been tossing into the air with and hurled it at him, her right leg lifting smoothly as she pitched it, full speed.

"Your baby, huh?" she said, dismissively. "We'll have to see if she survives this. And the next wedding will be far from South America, don't even think about it."
It was hard not to return Emmett's grin. It was one she recognized; it was the exact one that had gotten them kicked out of the house and into a large home of their own, designed by Esme, which they subsequently destroyed. She loved that smile. She let him pull her close again, his arm securing her around her waste and his other still holding hers. Giggling as she melted into his kiss, she almost forgot why they were there for a moment, and wondered if they would be missed if they made a quick escape. Her own arm snaked up Emmett's expansive chest and hooked around his neck, locking him in place. Her other hand let Emmett go and slipped slowly to tug very lightly on the wasteband of his pants while she closed the tiny space still between them.
At the sound of their brother approaching, she unwillingly released him and turned towards Alice and Jasper. "Let's get some practice in," she told him, walking away and smiling over her shoulder, "you'll need it." She caught up with their brother and sister, picking up a bat they had left in the ground for a few practice swings.

“Think about it, I already got it planned and booked.” Emmett smirked as he lent further into the kiss. Even will the promise of the game looming he could easily allow himself to be distracted by her. Just as he knew she was tempted by him. Her arms wrapped around his frame were all he ever needed. The whole world could disappear and he wouldn’t ever notice in this embrace.
Sure he enjoyed a good game and the competition that went with it, but all that would never come ahead of Rosalie. Nor would he ever grow tired of been this close to her; she still had the same magical effect on his she had the first day he met her. His Angel as he had always believed her to be and most of the time she could be angelic and not so to boot.
Emmett smirked as Rosalie walked away towards their brother and sister. No one else was ever as much fun to bicker and banter with as his Rosie. She could take it as well as give it. Throw in her love of cars and sports and she was his perfect woman.
“Hey pixie?” Emmett called out to Alice has he became to follow Rosalie towards Jazz and Alice. “Have you seen our win and how much we crush them by? It just it’ll make it easier on Rose and Jazz if they get used to the idea now.” Emmett called out for all to hear then followed it with another roll of a thundering laugh

Emmett called out to her and she grinned, "I don't think I should give them the benefit of the doubt, they might not play as good since we all know Rose is a bit of a sore loser," there would be plenty of glares at Bella tonight from the blond. Alice saw the first out and how there would be a slim chance that the brunette would be torn limb from limb. This disturbed her but was glad that there would be some control and Esme would be next to Bella, there was nothing to worry about, though there had been something else looming at the back of her head. The three vampires she'd seen before would be making their way through the forest surrounding Forks, though she couldn't be to sure if they'd be able to hear, it was a reason why they had the thunder to back them up.
"I can say that it will be a very good game and don't worry Jazz, Rose, we won't destory you completely. We'll leave you enough of your pride to lick those wounds." It was a benefit to them greatly that they had Edward on their team, he was after all the fastest out of them all, they would probably get into one of their historic fights again but it was always fun to watch the others fly off the handle. Though Carlisle and Esme probably wouldn't like them for a while.
"I'm feeling a little neglected here, Edward keeps Bella all to himself and doesn't share one bit."

Edward was glad to hear Bella's laughter join his own, letting him know that she hadn't been offended by his not wanting to have her attempt to teach him to drive. He was a bit curious as to how that would go. What could she possibly tell him about driving, except that he was going too fast. He may have to let her try just out of curiousities sake. He smiled as she called herself a squishy human that he needed to remember about. "I havent been able to stop thinking about your company"
Edward's smile broadened as she voiced her approval of his meeting with Charlie. He had worried about the stress it might have taken on her as much as he had worried about Charlie's opinion of him in general. "I dont know if any boy would be good enough for his daughter, but hopefully I made a good impression"
As they stopped, Edward watched Bella fumbling with the buckles of the harness and was ready to offer his assistance when he saw her figure it out. He quickly moved around to the other side of the car, opening her door for her as she reached for the handle inside. Once open, he reached up to help her down from the height of the jeep, afraid she would fall if left on her own to jump out.
"It wont be too far, you ready?" He asked, not wanting to start running with her if she needed a minute to gather her courage or settle her nerves.

The answering smile on Bella’s lips was instantaneous as Edward told her that she was on his mind. Of course he already knew that was true of her, even without his extra mind reading abilities functioning on her, it was plain that he was her number one thought, always. She almost couldn’t believe he was speaking the truth, though. After all, how could he think of enough things about her to keep her in his wonderful mind all the time? She was just her, whereas just the nose on his face could keep her mind reeling in wonder for probably a life time or two. Still, it gave her a warm feeling inside, which manifested itself on her cheeks, though this time it was a delicate blush, at least.
A half smile pulled at the corner of her lips, an extraordinarily pale reflection of her favourite Edward smile and she shrugged a little. “Oh I don’t know. I don’t think Charlie ever thought he would need to meet anyone in that way with me, but who couldn’t be impressed by you?” She laughed a little, though it was true – everyone knew of the Cullens whether they liked them or not, and Bella was going to make sure that Charlie kept up his pro-Cullen approach to life.
She gladly took the hand that Edward offered her to jump out of the jeep, still somehow miscalculating the distance and throwing herself with too much vim out of the high door. She made a half-strangled sort of sound and gripped Edward’s hand tighter, the faint blush becoming more heated with her never ending klutziness. She looked up at her parentally endorsed official boyfriend and bit her lip a little, still unable to hide her worry, though she knew it was necessary and she did want to do it. She inhaled a couple of times and nodded.
“Ready,” she squirmed a little as her stomach flipped at the thought.

Esme smiled simply, taking comfort n Carlisle's sure words. He always seemed to take things in stride, not letting himself worry too much, appearing as though nothing bothered him and that no matter what everything would work out. And if he thought otherwise, he didn't let it show. This quirk was something Esme admired most about him, it was also something that kept her sane, keeping her from losing her mind with every little misfortune life brought.
"Hopefully," Esme replied, tilting her head slightly and resting it on the shoulder of the arm he had wrapped around her. The normal movement was something she did simply for the feeling, not an act done for drowsiness, as it had been in a previous life. She rested their briefly before pulling away, letting her own arm twine slowly across her husband's frame, letting it rest against his back, vertically, she let her fingers trace random shapes between his shoulder blades.
Her honey colored eyes darted smoothly across the field, noting the additional appearance of Jasper. She couldn't help the quiet laugh that broke free as she listened to her children hedge bets and bother Alice about the future game. Where was the fun in playing if they already knew the outcome?
"Alice, don't make Bella uncomfortable. I'm sure it's already enough having to spend this much time around us, she doesn't need you bothering her for friendship," Esme slightly teased, though her voice still held an authoritative tone. She knew Alice meant well, and had already seen what was to come, but it would come in it's own time, not by her being pushy.
