(later that day after the Another boring day at school. post)
Elaine was looking at herself in the mirror. She then sighed and turned around to put on yet another outfit. Elaine smiled as she finally decided on a blue jean skirt that went down to midway between her ankle and thigh. The top was harder though because he had to keep deciding on one because she found out she did not like the others. "okay lets see I have either the long sleeve dark blue v-neck shirt because it was Alex's favorite color or do I want the light blue shirt that goes to my elbows since it looks good on me." She kept going back and forth on them before finally picking the dark blue one and put it on.
Elaine then walked over to her chair and started to gently apply some make up and put her hair up in a bun with a few curls hanging out the bottom. Elaine was proud of herself she got it done on the first try. She smiled as she put the clothes on and started to twirl in the mirror looking at herself. She laughed she had not done this in forever.
"Kay I am ready to go once I get there. I wished he would have told me where we were going though. I don't like not knowing what going on." Elaine grabbed her purse and jacket and headed downstairs and out the door to her Porsche. She looked at the address on the note and drove there. She was not sure if she could handle a date but it was to late not to. Once she was at his house she picked up her backpack and started to head towards the house and then knocked on the door. "here goes nothing."

Alex got up from his seat in his room when he heard the door and grabbed the yellow roses before heading down the long curving stairs. When he opened it, a smile broke out across his face at the sight of Elaine standing there. Alex opened the door wider and stepped back, holding out the roses for her. "Hey, come on in. These are for you. I thought you'd like them. We can get this studying done and then go have some fun."
When she came in and took the flowers, Alex started walking upstairs to his room, knowing she would be following him. He went inside and pulled out their History text book, laying it on his desk and pulling up the extra chair he usually used to sit in while he played his Xbox 360. Alex looked over at Elaine and he felt himself blush a little, but he controlled himself and asked, "So what exactly are you having trouble with?"
Alex was more excited about their date than the studying, but he did want her to do well and he was good at it. She had no idea about where they were going and he thought it was more exciting that way. The lake with the little pier was Alex's favorite place to go and being able to show her that was special to him. At night you could see the stars shining brightly and there were sometimes fireflies that made everything glow.
Alex had spent hours just staring at the sky and thinking about life and enjoying nature's beauty. He didn't know that much about Elaine yet, but he hoped she enjoyed it as much as he did. Alex had packed a large blanket for them to lay on and some hot chocolate for later in the night. It was a simple enough date, but if she couldn't do that much with him then they would never work out anyway. Regardless of his family's wealth Alex was very down to earth and his own person and he needed someone who was comfortable with that.

Elaine walked up and sat down on chair that he had given her smiled held the roses looking at them. "How did you know that yellow roses were my favorite. I know most people say that means friendship but to me it means love and happiness I guess that is my Texas side kicking in" She looked at the book and then go a disgusted look on her face. She hated history.
She started hold the roses as she opened up her book to the chapter they were on at the moment. She then thought about it harder and looked at him. "Well World War I at the moment. I don't get war. So that what is killing me in these classes. Can you help me please."
She started to read the book but not liking it. She never understood this stuff. She was hoping that Alex here would so she could get more.

When they were finished studying, Alex smiled over at Elaine. "Now that that's all done with, we can really have some fun. Come on," he said, taking her by the hand and leading her downstairs. He grabbed the basket on the table with the blankets and hot chocolate and then took her outside to his truck, placing the basket in the bed and then opening her door for her before getting in on the driver's side. Alex listened to the engine roar to life as he turned his key in the ignition.
Once they were both buckled, he started driving towards the lake. It wasn't too far away and soon they were parked in front of it. Alex shut off the engine and smiled at Elaine. "I hope you enjoy this place as much as I do," he said. Alex got out and grabbed the basket once more, opening it once they reached the grass underneath a tree nearby.
The stars were out in full force tonight and everything was beautiful, especially Elaine. Alex took out the two blankets and laid them out on the ground before sitting on one and taking off his shoes and laying down. The hot chocolate would be for later when it got colder. Alex looked up at her and asked, "Care to join me?"

Elaine smiled at him as she walked over and laid on the other blanket. Elaine then looked up at stars thinking about how she would love to just lay out on the ground in her town watching them. Elaine slowly turned her head and was watching him.
"Thanks there Alex for bringing me here. It so beautiful out here. This I think is the best date I have ever went on. You just go lucky though you know that." Elaine looked back up at the stars trying to name all the constellations that she could see there. For some reason she felt truly happy laying there on the ground.
"You got a night when it is clear outside and well it not that cold outside. So how did you find this place it sort of out in the middle of no where. Don't get me wrong I love it though. " She looked at him again and held out her hand. "So since this was a date are we getting to go home and be considered as officially you know together."
Elaine knew she did not care. She was rather liking the idea that they might be considered that.

Alex smiled at her eagerness about being here. She sure had a lot of questions, but he didn't mind answering them for her. "I make my own luck and it helps when you watch the weather channel to see beforehand what it's going to be like out. I found this place by chance when I was exploring Forks right after I moved here. As for the whole couple thing, it's only our first date. I guess we'll see how things go tonight. Don't want to jump the gun or anything, " Alex replied calmly. He flushed a little at her outstretched hand and took it in his own, lacing his fingers in between hers.
Alex looked into the bright night sky and was truly happy. The starts were out in full force and sparkling frantically all over and just then a large group of fireflies began flying around them, lighting up the entire area in a green glow. Everything was beautiful and perfect at the moment, and he didn't thing anything could ruin it. Alex said, "I am glad I brought you out here though. I come here a lot to just think and it's nice to share it with someone else. So, not too bad for a first date?"

Elaine laid back looking up at the sky and smiled. "No it is a great frist date. It diffent then all the other ones I have so I love it." She then held out her hand for him to take. She did not mind haveing him as a boyfriend. She really rather liked the idea that ment she would not be alone and have someone there to help her get over being upset some times.
Elaine then laughed. "You know you could never have planned those fireflys here and that what makes this even better was with planning it you made this the best date a girl could every ask for.

Alex's smile widened as she offered him her hand and he took it without hesitation, lacing his fingers into hers. She was right about it being the perfect date. He wasn't sure how he could possibly top it. The fireflies coming out tonight was just luck though, but he loved seeing them just the same. Alex replied, "Well, it's going to be tough to try and top this, but I guess I'll have to try and think of something even better. It'll be worth it though if I get to spend more time with you."
Alex laid there for a long time, simply enjoying the feeling of Elaine's hand in his own. Soon it started to get colder and Alex sat up and reached for the basket, pushing the lid open and letting go of Elaine's hand. He grabbed the two mugs that were in there and then the thermos with the warm hot chocolate. Alex filled both mugs and handed one to Elaine before sipping his own. The liquid made him feel better instantly and he smiled at Elaine. It really was turning out to be the perfect date and Alex didn't want it to end, but knew it had to eventually.

Elaine started to sip on her hot chocolate. "This is really good. Is it home made or what." She moved over to a tree and lays her back to it. She did not care if the next date was the worst in the world as long as Alex was with her she would be fine.
"Well Alex I don't care if we are sitting in the middle of the ocean alone. If I am with you it will be one of the best." She then sipped her chocolate holding her hand out. "That is if your willing to make it official and be my boyfriend. Then any date as long as we are with each other would be great."
