Eve stared into the mirror, trying to see if there was anything different about her. Did people look different when they got married? She didn’t look any different but she felt different—very different. For one thing she couldn’t seem to stop smiling, she was afraid her face was going to be stuck like that—smiling was ok but she couldn’t threaten a vampire with a smile on her face. She was also giggling at the oddest times, she just couldn’t seem to help her self, she was so happy. She thought that the other reason for the giggling maybe because everything felt kind of surreal, that at any moment she was going to wake up at any minute. She couldn’t seem to wrap her mind around the fact that she was married, and now on the most beautiful island she’d seen in her life. How had she gotten so luck, she had in the past years found the love of her life, and had met Aine, a vampire she also felt like was her sister.
She smiled at her reflection, the wedding had been beautiful, and had thankfully gone off with out a single hitch. The sun had hung high in the sky, that was one of the big things she’d wanted, was to be married in the sun—to feel it’s warmth on her cold skin, and to watch it dance on her friends and families skin. They were for ever being restricted by the sun, and she didn’t want it to be that way on her wedding day. She’d walked down the aisle never once taking her eyes off of Donavon’s shinning eyes and face, the love in eyes was shinning just as brightly as his skin was. The wedding after that passed in a blur and before she realized it they were getting off the boat and on to there own personal island for the next—well how ever long they wanted to stay.
She took several deep breaths, she was on an island alone—with her husband—and it was her honeymoon. She gulped, a large knot was forming in the pit of her stomach. Her hands shook slightly as she reached up and pulled the clip that was holding her hair up out, the curls that was still in her hair from the wedding bounced around her face. She couldn’t remember a time where she’d been this embarrassed or nervous, then again she’d never been about to…her thought trailed off. If she finished them she was going to run and hide some where for a few hundred years—at least until she go over her embarrassment. She shot Donavon a nervous smile in the mirror—one of the perks of being a vampire no one can ever sneak up on you.
She sighed and twisted around to face her husband, there room was beautiful—the whole house was beautiful. There theme was very Caribbean, from the canopied bed, the lounge chair by the double bay doors, to the sand colored fish nets that were hanging from the ceiling. She fought the urge to start twisting her hair, she didn’t need him to start giving her a hard time. He smiled at her, that knowing, mischievous, I’m laughing at you on the inside kind of smile. She ran through her head all the things Heidi had told her, cringing at several of the things—there was just no way. At the thought of Heidi she remembered that Heidi had gotten something for Donavon. She padded over to her bags and pulled out several things wrapped in tissue paper. She looked up, he was watching her curiously, his eyes still dancing.
“Um...Heidi…got zis…for you I will be honest I had a peek, and I don’t zink that it’s going to fit you” She moved over to him and pulled the tissue paper off of the present, she grabbed it and held the black frilly lingerie outfit up to Donavon’s chest “I don’t zink zis is going to fit you…and why would she buy zis for you.?” She frowned, she didn’t understand the workings of her sisters brain.
