Rays of orange gold filtered through the light crimson curtains draped across the large window in an attempt to keep the rising sun out. A steady beat came from behind those curtains as a nice tango rhythm was mixed with new pop, a young brunette danced to the rhythmical beat as she got ready her hips moving just so. Hair covering her face as she danced about in her faded denim skirt and cherry red baby doll top, slowing and letting her movements blends with the slow lyrics and pick back up with the beat. A banging on her door interrupted her dance steps causing her to stumble to turn off the music as she cooed to the knocking source her French accent heavy, “Sorry Papa.” unplugging the little music device from the stereo she tucked it into a arm band on her upper arm and wrapped the ear cords around her ears. Sitting on an old piano bench in front of a mirrored vanity she parted her hair in two sections and began braiding each section into to French braids. After finishing she slid all her school things into the stylish white leather bag her mother had bought for her, clipping the gold latch closed she slipped the bag onto her back and grabbed her gym bag that had her jogging clothes in in it so she could go for her afternoon jog and then get home befor eher father suspected anything. Skipping steps as she hurried down the stairs she walked through the kitchen and grabbed an apple off the counter and bit into it before walking over to the table where a dark haired man and fair haired woman sat. Smiling she kissed each of the woman’s cheeks and did the same to the man saying as she hurried out the door, “Au revoir Papa! Au revoir Mama! I shall be le’ dose tonight after school.” the girl paused as her fathers French called her back, “Katalina comment retard?” she smiled back at him and spoke lightly in French, “cinq trente.” he smiled largely and nodded saying firmly, “Non duxieme more jeune la femme!” Katalina nodded and pulled the glass door closed behind her. As she crossed the large yard she looked up at the sky and smiled as a high bark was given laughing she smiled saying to the grey and white dog, “No Genevieve …Papa doesn’t like it when you bark it will upset him. Now be quiet till I come home.” smiling she pulled out a napkin and unrolled it showing a few warm sausage links. Smiling as she gave the meat to the dog she stood up and continued on into the garage, opening the side door she went in and returned back out walking a cherry red vespa scooter beside her. She stopped kicking the kickstand down as she put a red and black helmet on, locking her bag into the hardtop compartment she swung her leg over and kicked up the stand before starting the scooter. Laughing as Genevieve ran beside her until she passed through the drive’s gate, going down the road she slowed and quickened depending on where she was. Slowing and coming to a rolling stop Katalina pulled off into the schools parking lot and parked her scooter, locking it up she tucked the key in her pocket and popped her ear phones in her ears as she adjusted her top and skirt and smiled. Hitting play the tango song from earlier began to play once more as she leaned against the scooter she was hidden in the shade of a large tree on the edge of the lot. She loved coming early to get out away from her fathers watching eyes, glancing around she smiled before picking back up where she left off on her dancing earlier. If anyone approached Kat would only laugh it off she wasn't embarressed of her dancing but more proud.
