Rachel wandered into the kitchen still half asleep. After reaching for a mug and finding none, she turned her attention to the pile of dishes in the sink. From the looks of it she was going to have to give Jacob the talk again. With a yawn and a little groan she let her long legs carry her over to the counter. The water was nice and hot and the sound of the birds chirping out side woke her just enough to finish the growing pile of glass and China.
With a clean mug in hand she made the usual pot of coffee. It used to be a morning ritual to make it for Rebecca, her father and herself but with Rebecca not home and Billy’s diabetes she usually drank it a lone. Unless one of Jacobs friends had stayed the night, they would usually join in on the morning brew. But that was probably due to the fact that the couch they slept on was on the other side of the wall.
Rachel took a seat at the table, and stared out the kitchen window. She missed her little brother being around, she missed her mothers cheery smile, her sister. In all, she missed life as she once knew it to be. No wars between mystical creatures just family and friends talking over smores and ‘legends'.

Billy woke up that morning and got dressed. He was so glad to finally have his daughter home. He rolled into the kitchen and grabbed a glass before rolling over to the sink and feeling it with water. He then started to sip on it before turning and facing his daughter.
"Hi there Rachel. How did you sleep. I hope it was okay. If not I'm sure we can make some arrangements to get that fixed." He wanted to make sure that his daughter would have anything she wanted. Billy knew by doing that she was going to me more likely able to keep her around for longer this time. He looked at the dishes in the sink and then laughed. "Well I would ask you what you wanted me to cook you for breakfast but with a sink like that it will be a little hard to do. "
He leaned back in his car taking in everything that was going on. He had to go in later to the elders. They were having to talk about some facts that would need to get sorted out. He would do that later after talking with his daughter. "I hope you know that I am really glad you are back. I have missed you. It also really great that Jacob has someone else to talk to besides me when it is something he does not want his friends to know."

Rachel looked over at her father and smiled gently. She had missed him more than words could ever express. After all, that was Daddy, the man that catered to the scrapes on her knees as a child. The strongest man she knew, because even though life didn’t hand him the greatest deck of cards, he was dealing. And he was doing better than she believed she ever could in his shoes.
“I slept great,” she laughed. “No need to fix anything, I’m not going any where.” She smiled again before taking a sip of the hot liquid. “Yeah,” Rachel agreed, “you can thank Jacob and his friends for that, I’m sure.” She watched her father settle back in his chair, and the look on her face was pure admiration.
“Missed you more,” she joked, as she walked over to her fathers side. She kissed him on the cheek and continued past him to the fridge. She took out a bowl covered in plastic wrap. As she placed it on the counter by the stove she looked back toward her Father. “I found this recipe in a dietary magazine, so you can actually eat these.” she said as she began rolling what would be biscuits into medium size balls.

Billy laughed once his daughter kissed him on the cheek then walked over to the oven. He knew that with her here it would be harder him to eat what he wanted. "You know when your here I have to actually eat healthy. So How about you give me some of that coffee. It will be fine if I use the sweet-n-low. Just one cup please."
He rolled over there and pour our his water and started to pour the coffee. He could use a little bit once and a whiled. "You better make me something more then biscuits. You don't want to me go hang at Charlie's just so I can eat right. Plus leave the dishes. I am sure that Jacob will wash them when he gets up. He was meaning to do it las night but you know with everything he is going through it can be hard. If not I will do them for him." Billy was trying to help out his son however he could possible. He also wanted to help his daughter to.

“Guess it’s a good thing I’m home,” she laughed. She had her hands full with those two. She had grown pretty use to it though years ago after Sarah, her mother’s passing. She took on the role as the mother, and now that she thought back on it she would have it no other way. “One cup,” she said holding up her pointer finger. “How about some eggs?” she asked as she popped the tray full of dough balls in the stove.
Rachel made her way to the sink and turned the handle to the Fawcett. “I got them Dad,” it’s not that big a deal, besides you and Jake are always busy. You have until I get the job at the hospital next month. Than we might have to schedule when we’ll get to actually see each other,” she joked.

Billy looked at his daughter. He loved having here. "You know I guess it is a good thing that you are here. Since when your here I eat healthy which will add at least another year to my life. Eggs will be just fine but since I am only getting one cup of Coffee I am going to get a bowl of ice cream at dinner that a deal." He knew he had to do this if he actually wanted to eat something that was not very healthy some times.
"what you mean I am always busy. I spend most of my time out side carving away at things to sale to all the kids that come and visit. Let me at least help you dry them if nothing else please." Billy was going to be persistent. He knew that his daughter would work at the hospital and most likely move out again. "that is fine so until you go back to the hospital you are going to try to spend as much time with your dad here. You never know how much longer I will have."
Billy then rolled over to the sink to help his daughter out. He held his coffee in his hand drinking it.

“Maybe even two more years,” she smiled, “but by bowl I mean three scoops the most.” She cautioned. Her eyes were gentle almost playful. She put one hand on her hip as she looked at him now. It made her gray flannel pajamas a little damp in that particular spot, but she barely noticed it. She nodded and passed him a dry dish towel.
“Oh stop acting like your on your last breath,” she clowned. “Your invincible.” she smiled as she passed him a dripping plate. “Hey Dad, how far are we from the Forks, hospital? I was thinking if you and Jake don’t mind that I’d stay for a bit longer so I can save up.” she ran the sponge over the remaining china, one by one passing each solitary piece to her father.

Billy looked at her as he was taking a plate. "Fine 3 scoops but full scoops not half scoops." He was shocked when she asked about how far it was from here to the hospital in Forks because she wanted to say here for a little longer.
"well lets see it is about 20 min to Charlie's house from here. So if I had my bet I would say about 30 minutes at the most 45 minutes. Is that half way descent. " He was putting the dry dishes on the counter so that Rachel could put them away. She knew that there was no way possible that she was going to let him put them away. He took a sip of his coffee and then turned to her. "I don't mind if you stay with us till you save up some money. To tell you the truth I like having someone else around here to talk to besides Jacob. You know how he has been with the whole werewolf thing. He is always on the go."
Billy looked at his daughter and smiled. "Oh I wish I was as invincible as I was when you were younger. Some times it would be less of a hassle for me if I was not diabetic or in this chair." He was drying the dishes but thinking about how when Rachel was younger and he was actually able to run and catch up with her. Those were the days when he was superman. Now he was one of the elders that got to make sure that all the kids that lived on the Reservation knew about the legends of the cold ones.

“Deal, three scoops,” she agreed as she turned off the Fawcett. She dried her hands and began putting the dishes away as he placed them on the counter. She remembered when she was a little girl and she would have to get a chair to reach the old oak cabinets. She was always climbing on things, Becca’ often even called her a boy. Rachel smiled at the memories of years past.
“I can live with that,” she nodded. For her it would be a half hour, she just hoped Mr. Swann wouldn’t be upset on days she was running late. She hated staying within the speed limit, she always had to flirt with the gas pedal, getting to at least five miles an hour more than the signs read. She smiled at her fathers admittance to wanting her around. She missed being around her family.
She smiled at him, not wanting to comment. “So dad, what’s new? I haven’t seen Charlie around.”

Billy looked at his daughter as she put the dishes away. He then finished with the last one and handed it to her. He then took his coffee and rolled back over to the other side out of his daughters way so that she could finish cooking food so he could eat some time soon.
"well I'm not sure what new with Charlie. It has been a while since I talk to him. I should give him a call up and see if he wants to get some food up here some time. Would you cook the fish if we do." Billy looked at his daughter. He had almost finished of his one glass of coffee. "Have you heard from Jacob lately."

With a sip of her coffee Rachel turned back to the stove, pan in hand. “How do you want ‘em” she asked, as she set the pan down, and opened the fridge. She listened to her father a bit sad that he hadn’t had much time to just relax with his friend Charlie. He was a good guy. “Sure I would Dad, she smiled.
The mention of Jacob’s name alone made her upset. She barely ever seen him, if at all. “Heard from him?” she huffed. Her tone changing slightly. She only wished he would be around more, after all Billy and Jacob were the reasons she had come back in the first place. If she would have known LaPush had been transformed to Horror movie capital she would have stayed where she was.

Billy looked at his daughter. "Scrambled it fine." He knew she was having a hard time with everything but he was still glad that she had come back. He wanted to talk to her but not sure what to say about the Jacob thing. He rolled over to her and took her hand. He was going to try and be there for here when every they could.
Billy smiled at her. "So I take that as a no but do me a favor. Talk to me what on your mind. I glad you are back though. We really need do do something later okay. Just the two of us." He missed being with her.

Rachel nodded and began sifting the eggs in a small bowl with a fork. She let her mind wander to a far out place. A place where everything would be okay. The war amongst vampires and werewolves would at least be at a standstill. At least so Jake could have the time to get over Bella. Him saving her all the time when she didn’t want to be saved was making him appear a bit masochistic.
She poured the eggs into the pan, wiped her hands off again. A habit in the kitchen. When her fathers hand touched hers she paused in her mechanical movements. His smile made the thoughts evaporate, and she smiled in return. At least she still had him. “Promise Dad?” she asked. “Maybe we can go fishing,” she smiled. She knew he’d like that. And, if Charlie couldn’t make the time, she surely would.

Billy looked at his daughter and smiled. "Yes I promise we can go fishing when every you want. So you tell me when." Billy was glad to have his daughter back even if it was just for a little bit. He thought about it and decided he was old enough and okay to have another cup of coffee.
He waited till his knew that Rachel was cooking and had her back turned. That was when he had rolled over to the coffee pot and started to pour him some more. "So Rachel I was wondering. Is there a way you can sprinkle some cheese in the eggs. You know the way I had did when you were younger."

Rachel grinned. “You tell me, I’m never up to too much recently,” she admitted. She had a few more online classes to complete until the Degree was in her hands. So it left her with a lot of free time, First Beach was becoming her best friend again. Just as it was when she was younger, except for the fact that she used to have a lot more friends and family around.
She could hear her father role his chair over to the coffee pot. She shook her head and checked on the biscuits. She was going to have to wean him onto a healthier diet, because apparently he was still oblivious to his bad habits. She tilted the pan over to let the scrambled eggs fall on to the plate. With a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese on top she placed the plate on the small table. “The biscuits are almost done.” She stated matter- of-factly.
