Billy was pulling into Charlie's drive way. He had come to visit him and see how everything was going on. Billy know that his friend was going through a hard time. Billy had heard about Bella gotten hurt and knew that it had to be hard on his friend. Billy pulled into the driveway and turned off the car and started get out of it. He was glad that a friend brought him.
"thanks you can leave now." He turned and got into his wheel chair so that he could go back to the Reservation.

Edward had been visiting Bella and was about to leave when he heard someone else approaching. As soon as he knew who it was that was coming, he knew it was best that he left. There always seemed to be a complication. As Edward walked out the front door he saw Billy's ride driving away.
Edward's muscles had tensed up. He was always ill at ease around any of the Quileutes, especially the older ones, who still believed the legends. Some of the kids had dismissed them as just folklore. Edward kept his distance from the Quileute man, not wanting to cause any disturbance here between them.

Billy looked at Edward and smiled. "hello there Edward. what you doing here at this time. Your kind just tried to kill her." Billy was sitting there. He had noticed that Charlie's car was not here.
"I know about your kind and I know they are not good. Why is Charlie not here yet. " Billy sat there in his car looking at Edward but not moving any he held the fish on his lap. the had brought it for them to eat. He then started to move closer to the door. "I would stay away from her if I was you. She will only get hurt if not killed."

It was hard for Edward to argue with Billy. He also believed that Bella would have been safer if he wasn't around. He knew it was true, but he also knew he wouldn't be able to convince Bella of that. If getting this hurt hadn't convinced her she was better off without him, he wasn't sure what would.
"My family helped keep her alive" Edward reminded him. When Billy spoke of 'his kind' he knew that it was an indicator that Billy saw them all the same. He viewed Edward and the rest of the Cullens as he did any other dangerous vampire, no matter what treaty was in place between them. "Charlie had to go out for work. I'm only here now because Bella wants me here, I'm not here to cause her anymore trouble"

Billy looked at him and rolled forward. "Ya your family might have helped her but think of it this way. If you had never interfered with her life then she would not have gotten into this mess." Billy then looked toward the house at what was going on.
"Charlie knows I am here. I think he wanted me over here for Bella. He does not trust you completely." Billy laughed thinking about the treaty. He knew that it would be harder to do this then thought. "well it would be best if you did not spend so much time with her. Your making it to where she can't be with out you. So when you leave she will be broken."

Edward stood up straighter as Billy wheeled forward. There was something about his attitude now that made him want to stay with Bella now, until either Charlie came home or Billy left. He didn't want to leave Billy with Bella when he knew Billy would just be upseting her.
"If I hadn't interfered in her life, she would have been crushed by Tyler's van in the parking lot" Edward said in a low tone. He had tried to stay out of this girl's life, it wasn't what he had intended.
"Charlie also knows I'm here, and he probably doesn't trust me, I respect that" Edward told him. "I have tried not to spend as much time with Bella but its what she wants. I want to keep her safe and happy. If I can do that by staying like she asked, then I will" He said, trying to justify his actions.

Billy looked at him. "Well that that fine you can stay here all you want. All I know is that you will have to be with me to. I don't have a ride home. See was going to come over to watch the game with Charlie. Thought I would come and visit Bella before that."
Billy started to roll toward the door. "So we might as well talk and try to be civil. You know for Bella sake. What do you say. Us talking like normally humans or as human as you can."

(OOC: Thought I would jump in, let me know if it’s a problem and I’ll delete. )
Edward had left Bella upstairs in her room working on the last killer assignment of the semester. The rest of the kids had already turned in their own, but she had been excused due to recent events. It dismayed her slightly that Edward had to go, but she figured that she might as well use the time productively until he returned. However, as she lay on her stomach on top of the bed, thinking, small words filtered up through her open window. Mostly she could only hear her name being repeated a lot, which piqued her curiosity. She could tell that Edward was talking to someone, but she couldn’t recognise the other voice from so far away. She paused in her writing, tapping the pen against her teeth for a moment as she tried to eavesdrop from where she was. It was no use, though, and she figured she had a right to know what they were saying about her, and so she picked herself up and limped down the stairs, cursing the stupid cast.
“Oh,” she breathed as she pulled the door open to see Edward and Billy standing too far away from each other. It looked like they had drawn lines or something. A frown furrowed her brow as she heard Billy mention them being civil for her sake and she went to hobble beside Edward, casting a politely obstinate look towards Billy. “You don’t have to do anything for my sake,” she told him, trying to keep her tone light, but her point poignant.

(You're definitely allowed!)
Edward was about to respond to Billy when he heard Bella coming outside. "Bella you should be off that leg..." He said softly worried about her as she came over to him. She was so fragile and he knew she was just trying to show how tough she was.
He heard her say how they didn't need to do anything for her sake. "No it's alright. I can be civil no matter who I'm around" Edward told them both. He knew that Billy would probably never believe that. It was clear from what he said that he would never believe that anything Edward did or said was more than merely acting human.
Edward turned to Bella again. "I think I'm going to stay a little longer today, if that's alright with you?" He asked her gently.

Billy started to rolled toward the house. He knew that he was not going anywhere and that was fine. "okay then I won't have to tell you how big of a mistake you are making by dating a vampire."
Billy knew that she was not thinking clearly. *If we could break the dazzle that he has put on her we could stop him* Billy held up a fish he held now in the bag. He knew he might end up fixing it on his own she did not need to be standing. "He is right you need to be inside and off your leg. Plus I have supper. I will cook it later on."

Bella looked up at Edward as she got to his side and he spoke, giving him a little smile to show that she was alright. She tried to stand square on her own one good foot to prove that she could handle herself - after all, if she stayed pent up in bed every time she injured herself, she would never be out of it! However, that said, she still found that she tired quite easily and so she began to lean more on more on her good leg towards Edward. She tucked her hand into his and gave it a little squeeze accompanied by a loving smile, just a small flash of teeth showing between her lips. She loved how he always tried so hard for her, despite how difficult things sometimes made it - his family, his cravings, her breakability, Billy…
“You know it is,” she told him, shuffling a little so that her shoulder leaned against his upper arm. She hated appearing weak and vulnerable, but if she could discreetly make herself a little more comfortable, that would do. She turned her head as Billy started to approach them, talking, the smile dropping back into the stubborn expression.
“No, you don’t have to tell me,” she told him, again leaving it up to him to pick out the meaning. It was clear that she was telling him to mind his own business, in not so many words, but of course she couldn’t be rude to Charlie’s friend. Having said that, she knew that Charlie got very irritated with the prejudice that emanated from the Quileute Reservation towards the Cullens. She let go of Edward as Billy held up the fish, determined not to appear feeble to this man and hobbled down the drive to meet him.
“That’s alright, Billy,” she told him, reaching out for the bag with the hopes that she wouldn’t lose her balance over the wheelchair. “I’m fine - I can fix that up for you. Is there enough for you and Charlie there?”

Billy looked at Bella. "No I am going to cook it. You need to stay off that food as much as possible I am not taking no for an answer. " He knew that she should be off her food. Not sure what to do he started to move toward the house. He knew that much was truth.
He then smiled looking at her. "So Bella when you coming to La Push later. I mean you have not been back since. " He glared at Edward. "You started to date him. Plus Jacob really misses you at lot."

Bella bit her lip at Billy’s response to stop herself from answering back, though she couldn’t stop a soft sigh from escaping her lips. Did these men know that she used to fend not only for herself, but for mother as well? She may be accident prone, but she could cope, she wasn’t made of glass.
“Alright,” she said, eventually, allowing the wheelchair to pass her so that she could limp back at a slower pace than he could roll. With the benefit of his back to her, Bella allowed herself to display a fraction of her discomfort on her face. Edward knew she was still sore, so there was no point in hiding it from him, but she felt that she ought to put on her toughest face for the benefit of the untrusting Quileute elder. “Feel free to go inside, Billy . You can wait for Charlie in the living room, if you want.”
Her face flickered into a frown at Billy’s simultaneous invitation and reprimand. She knew that he was only looking out for her, but she really didn’t need it, not even from Charlie. What he said was kind of true, though, she had neglected Jacob after milking him for information about the Quileute legends and he did seem like a nice kid.
“It would be nice to see him again,” she admitted, half telling the truth and half appeasing Jacob’s father. “Don’t worry, I’m sure Charlie will drive us over for dinner at some point soon.”

Charlie looked at her as he got to the door. He knew that he would go inside when he felt like it. He was not going to leave her out with the Vampire alone. He turned to face them and sat there watching quietly.
"well I will make sure to talk to Charlie about it tonight. I know your made over the whole Vampire thing but you should not take it out on Jacob. All he did was talk about how cool you are. He misses you and your two busy with him." Billy wanted to make sure that he had made it clear that Jacob missed being with Bella.

Bella’s jaw snapped shut at Billy’s response and she stepped closer to Edward, forcing herself not to blurt anything out she would regret. For once she wished that Edward could read her mind, just so that she could say something to support him, but he couldn’t, and so she made do with reaching out to him again, clearly aligning herself with him. She just hoped he didn’t bother Charlie with his stories, it frightened her to think that her father might be alienated again Edward, because she didn’t want to have to choose. She turned to the old Quileute,
“I get it, Billy,” her voice was carefully controlled, though she could not stop the annoyance from flushing her pale cheeks. She stumbled a little a Edward’s side, which made her frown deepen. “Let’s go inside.”
She took what she hoped was a discreet deep breath to psyche herself up for another short walking journey.
