Elaine laughed as she drove back down to La Push. She had thought that she was not going to have that many weekend's off. She liked having them off this meant she was going to be able to go to the beach more often. Elaine smiled as her car pulled up to a spot near the beach. She seemed to love this place it was her place to get away and think about things that are here.
"Well this place is great." She said getting out of the car. She was wearing a pair of blue jean overalls and a black sweater. She was barefoot though as she walked up and down beach with the sand in her toes. She would look at the water every once in a while and smiled. Her dad lived in Forks but she did not mind living here at this town.

Jared had just got done shooting some hoops with Sam. The showers at school had been hot, and the white towel still hung around Jared’s neck. He wore no t-shirt as he hadn’t brought a spare. He thought the cool air coming off the Ocean may do him some good. The warm sand felt good beneath his bare feet, and it clung to the edges of his dark blue jeans. He spotted a girl a few feet away and waved as not to frighten her. After all if any girl suddenly noticed a half naked young man on a secluded beach they were bound to get a little jumpy. He smiled gently, to show he meant no harm. “I’m Jared.” he old out a hand for her to shake and kept a cool distance between them.

Elaine smiled at the boy and smiled. She had wondered why he was walking around with out a shirt but was not going to ask him. She saw him stick out his hand so she knew he must have been nice.
"well my name is Elaine. Jared it is nice to meet you." She reached her hand out to take his and shake it. "So where you coming from. Seeing as most people I know don't run down the beach without a shirt on." She then laughed at her self. What was she thinking most people she knew did run down the beach with out a shirt on.
"Sorry I don't know what I am talking about. I mean most people I know are running down a beach without a shirt. The people around this town are not running around with a shirt." She laughed in Texas no guys wore a shirt on the beach.

When Elaine replied he winked. “Likewise,” he said as he griped her hand gently but firmly. “Basket ball,” he smiled, “I play for LaPush High you should come watch our game next Saturday.” He watched her expression, the smile never waning. He was sure she their team was bound to win him and Sam had been practicing, along with the others on the team. They refused to lose.
He chuckled when she said she didn’t know what she was talking about. He turned his focus on the ocean, the waves were crashing ferociously. He assumed a storm would be coming, it couldn’t be too far off the sea. “We could always use another cheerleader,” he smirked as he turned his attention back to her.

Elaine looked at him when he talked about playing basketball. She kept her hand in his and smiled. "Well lets see next Saturday. I am off but the problem is that I have no idea when to be here."
She finally noticed her hand and his. She slowly pulled it back and blushed. "I would love to be a cheerleader though. Going to warn you I have not been near sports in a while though. I won't understand them really." She laughed and giggled. "when am I going to need to be there though. What we going to do today though? Since I came to hang here."
Elaine then sat on the beach looking at the waves. They always seemed to relax her.
