A smile danced around Victors lips as he reveled in his quiet sanctuary. The dark tinted windows of his jet black maserati provided a shelter from the sun at about midday on a clear afternoon in Volterra, Italy. This would be hard to get used to, Victor had decide to stay away from this place decades ago. He waited and watched the people cross the street in front of him wondering idly how long they would live. The engine thrummed under his feet in an even beat controlled by his foot on the pedal. Victor accelerated as soon as the light turned green and then leaned back in his seat reveling in his shaded sanctuary again knowing that in a moment he would have to leave it. Victor parked his car and sat thinking to himself about the Volturi, he had sworn to himself he would never think of joining them but here he was seeking their counsel. He doubted they would they accept him anyway, he didn’t even know what to do…should he wait for someone? Seek the ancients out individually? There were too many holes in his plan and he had no choice but to go through with it, he did not like the odds. Victor stepped out of his car and leaned up against the side. He had decided to go with his original plan, to wait, besides he had an eternity didn’t he?

Evangeline watched the tall statuesque vampire ease out of his black maserati with something akin to curiosity; she had just come back from hunting and hadn’t expected to see anyone in this area. Not many people knew about this entrance to the expansive underground holdings of the old ones. So to see him was a bit baffling, she wondered briefly what he wanted—not many vampires sought out the company of the old ones for social calls. In most cases it was because they wanted to be a member of the guard, for some it was a status thing—like a posh club everyone wanted to be in. In Eve’s case it was sheer boredom that had drawn her to volterra. She wondered what his situation was.
The young man leaned against his car, several indiscernible emotions flashed across his face. She wondered what troubles plagued the young vampire. Eve shifted slightly so she could study him more clearly; he was wearing casual clothing—nothing that would draw any more attention then his handsomeness already did. He was tall, a whole foot taller than Eve, he was thin—but neither was he gangly and his physical appearance would make most—if not all human girls hears flutter. Eve rolled her eyes human girls could be so fickle sometimes—when it came to love, she’d seen it first hand for her self for over 300 years to know. One moment they were spouting great love poems to the “love of there life” and in the next breath they were cursing there names. She felt a twinge in the area her heart should have been beating, she had never gotten the chance to experience love—that experience had been snatched out of her hounds by a hungry dog and a sadistic vampire.
Eve broke off a piece of the wall she was crouched against. The vampires head shot up and squinted into the dark where she standing, Eve groaned, her temper had given her away—she felt like a child caught with her hand in the cookie jar. She sighed, dropping the piece of broken wall to the ground, she stepped out of the dark and smiled broadly at the man

Victor was lost in deep thought when he heard a loud crack coming from the mouth of the alleyway he was occupying and quickly snapped his head around to see what it was. He was surprised to find a face he had never met before but pleased at the beauty that it held. The woman slid out of the shadows gracefully and gave him a wide grin. Victor was confused she didn't look like one of the volturi's scouts and he couldn't think of any reason she would be here, unless she wanted to use the tunnels to the Volturi's estate.
Victor didn't know if he should trust her but greeted her none the less. "Hello my name is Victor" he said stepping towards her a bit and extending his hand in a courtious manner still taking in her features. He shifted his weight and tensed the muscles in his back putting up a gaurd just in case. His thoughts turned to his concealed weapon and then back to the mysterious woman before him.

Eve watched the young one cautiously, she was very good at pegging just how old a vampire was—It was something in the eyes that always gave a vampires age away—she had always figured it to be wisdom. The older the vampire the more wisdom shined from the depths of there eyes—this one was young. It was his youth that made Eve leery, with the younger vampires you always had to be cautious, they hadn’t had the years to keep there emotions under control, and anything from a hair out of place could snap there control like a dead branch. Even Eve sometimes lost control of her anger and she was 319 years old. He walked towards her with his hand extended, and a curious smirk on his face.
“Hello My name is Victor” Eve’s muscles rippled in her back—out of instinct. She didn’t think that he would attack—but she knew out of experience that he would be on the defensive side as well. Eve was still curious as to why he was seeking out the volturi. Victor was just lucky that it wasn’t a guard who caught him down here, they wouldn’t have been as friendly to victor as she was being—or at least she was trying to be.
A thought crossed her mind, she frowned; his defensive stance couldn’t possibly be because he thought she was guard. Eve glanced down at her self, she was wearing a white knee length summer dress, and a pair of pink high top converses, and her hair was loosely tied behind her head with a matching pink ribbon. She shook her head and pushed some of the curls off of her face—no she was far from a volturi guard. They wouldn’t be caught dead in what she was wearing—to much color. She chuckled and extended her hand “Hello Victor, I’m Evangeline” She shook his hand and smiled up at the vampire—she prayed that the vampire wouldn’t try anything stupid she wasn’t in the mood to fight.
