(early-twilight or after-twilight, up to you)
Brittany sat at a Bench infront of a clotheing store. She didn't feel like shopping, but she was here, anyway. She took a look at the coffe she had ordered. It smelt even more repulsive than it had when she was still human. She sat the coffe down on the floor in hatered. Although the vampire who bit her saved her life, she hated the fact that she only wanted one thing to eat or drink. Blood. She wished she had a more.....varied taste like she had before. She sighed. What was a vamp to do?

(We'll go for early Twilight then ) Bella checked around in all her blind spots as she parked her truck in an impossibly small looking parking space. She carefully edged out to straighten up and then backed into the space, trying to leave as much space as she could between her indestructible truck and the delicate looking city cars that littered the lot. She had come to Port Angeles on a whim, pretty much. She had met a girl called Brittany at school in the first week and in a fit of being social she had agreed to go on a shopping trip with her. She supposed she could do with supplementing her winter wardrobe.
She stumbled out of her truck and stumbled into the other car with a cringe. Happily, though, the car was not alarmed and she managed to get out of there without the sirens and flashing she had images of in her head. She walked briskly around the corner to the main street of shops and cafes and quickly located the coffee shop that they had agreed to meet at. With only another trip or two over her own feet, she was finally in eyeshot of Brittany and she waved a little.
"Hello," she said in a quiet voice, when she was eventually close enough. She looked at the untouched coffee on the ground and assumed that it the place must serve bad stuff, though it seemed popular enough. She shot an apologetic look to the other girl.
"I didn't keep you waiting, did I?"

Brittany looked up. "Oh! No, no! Not at all!" She noticed Bella looking at the coffe. "They....gave me the wrong thing. I ordered a Mocha and Got a Latte." She said quickly, trying to explain without giving much away.

Bella shot Brittany a sympathetic look, exaggerating it a little due to nervousness and shrugged as she sat down with the other girl.
"That's too bad," she consoled, though she was not a great fan of coffee in any form - give her a soda any day. She pulled her coat tighter around her as a gust of wind intensified the chill in the air and tossed her long hair back around her shoulder and out of her face.
"Did you have a plan for today?" she asked, a little unsure. She hadn't gotten to know Brittany very well with the amount of attention that Mike and Jessica were taking up at school, so she didn't really know what the girl liked to shop for - clothes, music, comics? A quick glance up and down didn't reveal much by her appearance. She bit her lip with nerves and half smiled, trying to appear natural rather than like an unsocial wreck.

"No. I don't realy have a plan. Shopping, of course. But beyond that... Who can do much when it's so damp and dreary out?" Brittany said, looking up towrds the sky. She was going to hunt, but the weather was perfect for a social gathering of some sort. She decided to go shopping with another new girl at school, Bella.

Bella nodded in agreement, almost doubling the wrap of her coat as she wrenched it around her. She thought back to her home in Phoenix with all the glorious sun she could ever wish for, it seemed so far away from the dreary grey landscape of the city.
"I suppose we should get going with our planless shopping then," she smiled at the other girl, though she also kept a fair curtain of dark hair between them, like some kind of secondary defence screen. She jumped up from where she sat and stumbled to the side as she tried to avoid a puddle. It was only a slight grip at the plastic, rain-soaked table that saved her from falling headlong across the sidewalk, though she did manage to move it a good foot across the concrete. She blushed a little.
"That happens," she said darkly, as an explanation for her clumsiness.
She attempted to shrug off the blush that had stolen over her cheeks and turned to face Brittany again, suddenly noticing how pretty she looked despite the unforgiving weather. There was something vaguely familiar about her looks, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.
"You're new like me, right?" she asked in an uncomfortable attempt to begin a conversation. "Where're you from?"
She wondered, vaguely, if she had noticed the odd behaviour of the small town, though she supposed that really depended upon whether Brittany was originally from a proper sized city or not.

"Oh! I'm from a small town right outside of Forks! Oh....what's it called? ANywho, Lets go!" Brittany said, changing the subject. She realy couldn't remember the name of her hometown.
(Have you watched 'Shugo Chara!'? It's awsome! I have 2 use subs though so I can know what it says!)

(OOC: I've not, sorry. Looks good though.)
If she had been alone, or on the other end of a telephone, Bella would have sighed, but she had to make do with a mental projection. Another small-town girl then. How could these people know what true sun was like unless they got out of this dreary little place? Just give them a week in Phoenix and they would be a displaced as she was in this little town. Having said that, though, she was hardly in her element in Phoenix either, but at least she was warm whilst socially uncomfortable there. Bella couldn't help a slight quirk of her dark eyebrow, however, as Brittany swiftly left the subject of her hometown behind. That was... odd. Brown eyes curiously scanned Brittany's face, though she didn't voice her questions in fear that she might unearth something that the other girl did not want to discuss.
She began to walk down the street of the small city, her eyes casting out towards the grey bay. It was the strangest sight in the world to her. For ever since she could remember the only beaches and sea views that she had were lit by brilliant sunlight, the sparkles of sunlight catching on the crests of the waves and delighting her eyes. She secretly loved sparkly things when they showed every facet of light at their disposal - there was nothing so beautiful.
Oh wait, I remember... she thought to herself, remembering those early summers she spent in Forks before she could persuade Charlie to holiday with her in California instead. That was where she had first seen the angry, dull beaches and lifeless sea. At First Beach with Charlie's friends from the reservation, she couldn't quite recall their names, but she was sure they would come back to her sooner or later.
"So," she started, glancing through her hair towards the other girl "Maybe as you've been in the Olympic Peninsula all your life, you could tell me what the big attraction is? Do you just get used to the constant rain or do you really learn to love it?"

Brittany watched as Bella cast her glance over her. She shivered at the thought of her finding out who she was. What she was. She turned to Bella when She heared the start of her question. Her curious eyes watched Bella as she spoke. " Well, the rain's not that bad is it?" She Laughed when she relized what she just did. "I guess there's your answer. You really do learn to take pride in the rain. " She paused."Taking pride in the rain." She said, haf to herself, eyes looking towards the sky."Heh. What an odd saying." She giggles and pointed her glance back to Bella. "Well, Like I was saying before, let's shop!"

Bella couldn’t help but smile at the other girl’s apparent pleasure at the rain, though the attention the pair were giving it made Bella feel even colder and wetter. Although her massive raincoat was already drawn into her body as far as it could go, she yanked at the seams and pulled them more around her, just in case. She couldn’t believe that Brittany was actually serious about being proud of the rain. It was utterly insane. Completely. How could you love a section of meteorology that completely blocked the sun, soaked you through and was said to cause one of the most widespread illnesses in the world: the common of cold. Of course, it wasn’t true that being cold caused colds, but that didn’t matter, really. She shook her head a little, a disbelieving look on her face.
“To be honest,” she told her, looking up through a now soggy section of dark brown hair. “I don’t think I’ll ever understand.”
She picked herself up and began to walk out towards the bay area of Port Angeles, her brown eyes scanning around the store fronts in an effort to see what they held. She had only been to the little city a couple of times before, mostly when she was young and with Charlie, and as such she had no idea what the city had to offer.
“Are you shopping for anything much?” she asked Brittany, aware that nothing had been said for a small while. Bella was comfortable with the silence, as always, but she could never be sure of others, a fair proportion of the population seemed uncomfortable with silences, Bella could just never be sure which proportion that was.

((sorry I haven't been On. I've been Busy reading Twilight!)) Brittany Smiled warmly, not bothering to even slightly glance at Bella.
“I beleive that not even I , or any other, for that matter, understand.”
She Scaned the stores, too, when she heard the question that Bella had asked.
“I never shop for anything in particular, but maby..." Brittany paused. Oddly, It had been awhile scence she last went shopping for anything in particular. "A dress?" SHe laughed, questioningly.

((OOC: Hehe, no problem )) Bella exhaled in an ironic half-laugh, thinking that the reason no one understood would be because it was ridiculous. Who could explain a love of rain and day after day of depressing grey? Even the things that should be crisp and clear were covered in ever-present greenness. She had never liked the colour, but since moving to Forks she had come to despise it. She turned her head towards Brittany as she suggested buying a dress and she smiled at her.
“Yeah, that’d be good,” she told her, knowing that she would be at least able to tell the other girl whether she suited something or not. Though, as she glanced at Brittany’s appearance once more, she found herself thinking that nothing would look amiss on her perfect figure. She could probably wear a bin bag and make it look like high fashion. “So is it for anything in particular, there’s a dance soon, right?”

Brittany laughed contently, remembering the dance just as Bella had mentioned it. "Yeah. I almost forgot about it. But I'll probably not go. I mean, I don't have any one to go with...But maby I'll just go for the fun of it! Are you going?" She took in a breath after saying so much, so quickly.

Bella shook her head, looking down at the pavement for the moment. She knew it was the girl's choice dance coming up, which made it the easiest one in the world to avoid, or so she thought. It wasn't like any boys would ask her to go anyway, but still, it made her feel better. She hadn't thought of what she would tell the girls though. She glanced up at the other girl once more, after a moment, and smiled at her kindly.
"Oh no, I'm not going," she told her. "I'm - uh - out of town that day. But you should go! Is there no one you would like to ask? I'm sure they would say yes..."
Her brown eyes flicked up and down the girls' form. She couldn't imagine anyone being able to turn down the beautiful girl's advances, though she did remind Bella a little bit of the Cullens, for some reason. Her brow kinked slightly as she thought of this, but tried to push it to the back of her mind and focus on the dance.

Brittany looked at bella and sighed. "No. I can't think of anyone that I'd like to ask......." She bit her lip as she thought. "Maby......No." She said, shaking her head. "No one. At all." She emphathized her words, trying to show just how little she'd like to go to the dance. The truth is, She thought, I'm just scared of going on a frenzy and.......Killing people. She flinched as she though the last two words. I'm soooo lucky she can't read my thoughts!
