History:Philip Jackson and Sarah Samson were high school sweethears, Class of '81. Among other superlatives that gained them several pages of coverage in their senior yearbook, they were voted "Most Likely to get Married". This soon became true after they decided to take a road trip with their friends before separating and figuring out what to do with their adult lives. After only a few days of driving, they paid an Elvis impersonator $59.99 and left Las Vegas as Mr. and Mrs. Jackson. They settled right where they were; Phil working as a Showgirl beautician and Phil as a car salesman. They loved the city and its lights, and were able to maintain a comfy home just outside the city limits.
Soon enough, they decided to have children. They were making good money in a high volume city, and their affection was just waiting for another outlet. This soon came to a halt when they learned from the doctor that Phil was sterile. This was the beginning of the less fortunate years of their lives. Phil soon turned to the irresistable call of gambling, Sarah to alcohol; and just a few short years later, they were pretty much at their throats. Their world was turned upside down when Sarah's sister died in a car crash back in Forks, leaving her only daughter Denise to her. For whatever reasons, they were completely different people, and they raised Denise as their own daughter until she went away for college. There had always been little money, but she never lacked the love and affection her aunt and uncle had for her.
Denise had been the light of their life, and her moving out made them realize how really broken they were. The fighting, drinking and cheating resumed, Phil was injured at the job but was not compensated because he had been drunk and Sarah pretty much used her paychecks to support their drinking habits. Knowing they weren't able to live the Vegas life anymore, they moved back to their hometown, Forks. Their family was nearby and they knew a lot of the folks that had been there since they were kids. They soon gained a reputation for being a selfless, caring couple, fostering kids from bad situations and giving them a good home until they were able to leave. No one in Forks knows about the enticing check the Jacksons get for fostering each kid, per month.
They currently uphold their reputation, Phil claiming disability and Sarah gossiping with the ladies at the beauty parlor; always with a handful of kids at home.
