Her hair grew and her body matured. And the people on the Makah reservation adored her. She was their beauty. But, one day, her mother informed her of her true heritage. She told her that her father was from La Push, another Indian reservation, not far from where they were. Her mother told her the story of how she was visiting her cousin in La Push and was at the beach with a bunch of her cousin’s friends. That was when her mother and her father met. It was like love at first sight. They became infatuated with one another and were practically inseparable. And about a year later, a baby was produced. They named her Suzanna Clarice McCoy. And later on was nicknamed Anna. Anna was surprised when she finally knew the truth. For the past eighteen years, her mother insisted that her father was killed in a car crash. But now, she knew the truth. He left them to move to La Push. Her mother never heard from him again after that. Now, Anna wanted to go to La Push to find him and confront him. When she went, he wasn’t there. All that was left of him was his tombstone. But Anna fell in love with La Push, the beaches were so beautiful, and she very much enjoyed walking on the beach and did so frequently. She found a job at the local high school as an English substitute for a teacher who was absent a lot; she had majored in English in High School and loved the subject. So, she decided to stay in La Push and was very happy there.
