Moving towards the woods Daylan was reassured that she felt most of what he felt even if she didn’t believe all he was saying. Truth was, he wasn’t sure he’d believe himself either. When it first happened he thought he was dead, or crazy or dying all while going through a strange change. He had to make this easier for Kele, he could bare it if he saw fear or repulsion in her eyes.
“Yep, theres a whole pack.” he smiled brightly feeling the warmth and familiarity of the pack as he spoke about them, it was just another perk to the wolf life; the pack brothers. He wondered if she’d pick out Nash, or if she’d even question who. Maybe she was too scared to paint someone else into his crazy story. “We’ve never been caught coz we’re not seen, well not unless we want to be seen. We patrol at night and only a few people not us know about us.” He told her wanting her to know it all but trying to explain it slowly.
It was true that the boarder was at the line with Forks, the stretch in between been a no-mans land, neutral if anywhere was. “Yea a treaty with the cold ones. They don’t come here and we, as wolves, don’t go there.” He said hoping it would all make sense and that the talk of wolves and vampires, even hidden referenced, wouldn’t scare her.
With his shirt free he unbuttoned his pants and smirked. “Don’t want to rip them and walk home pantless.” He told her remembering the times many of them had to sneak home with a certain lack of clothing. Tossing them beside her Day stood in just his boxers and socks in the clearing feeling the breath of the chill on his skin, but it barely pricked his temperature. “Ok this might be a little freaky to watch, if you want to turn around.” he offered rocking on his heels as he smiled still.

"Are you allowed to tell me about the others?" Kele asked tentatively, not wanting to push him, especially since she still was fearing that he'd lost his mind about this whole thing. "Or is that secret too?" She asked. She had to admit that he did have a lot of details about it if it wasnt true, about patrolling, a whole pack and only certain people knowing. Was it really possible? Was he able to turn into a wolf? That was crazy...wasn't it?
"Cold ones?" Kele questioned, not understanding what he meant and getting scared by the way he was talking. It all seemed so unlike him. Legends, wolves, cold ones...it wasn't even the way that Day usually talked to her. "Day...you're not a wolf...you're a man...maybe we should go back to the house" She suggested.
As surprised as she was by his removing his shirt, she was even more shocked as he began unbuttoning his pants. She was torn between looking away as she knew she ought to, and looking because she had the attraction to see him without his pants. She settled with trying to keep her eyes on his eyes as he explained about not wanting to rip them. He then suggested she might want to turn around. "Okay..." She said hesitantly, as she turned slightly but gave a glance back at him over her shoulder.

There were no secrets between a wolf and his imprintee, Day knew that. He couldn’t keep anything from her if she asked, he felt that as much as knowing it from the others. “There are others, you knew some.” he said with a half smile thinking about Nash and Sam whom she’d met. He wouldn’t give names out right, but if she asked he would. “There are no secrets between us Kele.” He said brightening his smile a little with truth.
When she said the cold ones he felt his instincts to protect her kick in, if one of them leeches came near her he’d break every rule in the world to keep her safe. “Vampires.” He sneered hating whatever name they went by. As she denied what he was he laughed knowing she’d soon see, “Kel I’m a wolf, I’m part of a pack and we’re soul mates.” he said all three things with a matter of fact tone and smile. “Lets stay out here and I’ll show you.” He suggested.
Ripping pants was getting to be an expensive accident and something he was willing to take a few minutes to avoid. He laughed and smiled as he watched her try to keep her eyes on his face, he knew if the roles were reversed he’d be finding it tough not to look at her. “Normally we stash clothes in the woods, but I think I ripped my last lot of those too and the others will kill me if I take theres.” he said explaining it all as he tossed his jeans off to the side. “Though maybe I’ll take Nash’s just because I can.” He joked enjoying any excuse to wind up with best friend.
He was naked now. Stepping back he gave distance between the two of them before bowing his head gently and letting the change take him. His bowed head turned to a majestic wolf’s head as his body followed growing fur and taking on a larger shape. His only conscious thought was of her, that he wouldn’t scare her or freak her out.

Kele was still looking at him in a mixture of disbelief and curiousity. She wanted to know more about what he was telling her, but not fully believing it could actually be true, she wondered if she was just making it worse by encouraging him. There was no way that he could be a wolf. That just didn't happen to people. It was so horrible that he was ill enough to imagine such a thing and knew that seeing the proof that it wasn't real, seeing him just stand their naked, would be heartbreaking. She did however give a small smile as he told her that there were no secrets between them, something she enjoyed. She wanted to be that close to him that there was nothing between them. Maybe this, letting her in on his crazyness was part of that. "I'm glad there are no secrets...and I'll help you through this, I promise we'll get you whatever help you need...your friends too if they're in on this" She said wondering if Nash knew...or if he believed he was part of the pack.
Kele felt a bit of fear as he spoke of vampires. This was really getting detailed. And he again insisted that he was a wolf. He kept insisting he could show her. She knew that when he failed it would be the only way she could try to get him help after. But what if he actually was real? That was insane to even consider...wasn't it?
"So Nash...he is a part of the pack too.." She said more as a statement than needing him to confirm it for her. It was impossible to believe, but she knew there were people that had shared delusions. Maybe it was shared among young men in the tribe.
Though she had turned to give him the privacy she couldnt help but look over her shoulder. Needing to know he was alright, afraid for him. He was naked, a sight that made her blush, but she knew she couldn't enjoy fully knowing what he was saying and trying to show her. He bowed his head and before she knew it he actually was changing before her very eyes. Her eyes widened as she turned around completely again to face him, seeing the wolf in front of her. "Oh my God!" She said shocked that it was actually real and taking a step back only to mis-step and fall on her back. She pushed herself up to a sitting position leaning on her outstretched arms behind her as she continued to stare at the large majestic beast. "This is impossible"

Day couldn’t help smirking, she clearly thought he was mad. Judging by her offer of help to his brothers she clearly thought the whole pack was a group of crazies. “We don’t need help.” he said with a laugh, “Actually that’s not true, a good seamstress, tailor, and a whole gang of chefs would help. Just don’t tell Emily I said the last bit, her wrath is worst then Sam’s.” He said with a more bold laugher. He knew he was going to share this with Nash, telling his best friend that his own imprinter through the pack was all a figment of his deluded and disturbed imagination, if only it was as simple to cure as a padded cell.
“Yep, pack brother and best friend. Man that would have been a hard one to keep from him if he wasn’t part of it. See we can’t tell anyone, except our imprintees - that’s you - about this. Big secret.” He said reeling it off like a well rehearsed script. Thing was he heard the lecture so often from Sam, and replayed in other’s heads, it was like second nature. “See when the Alpha, Sam, tells us something we can go against it even if we want too.” He said honesty and openly feeling lighter sharing this with his soul mate, even if she did think it was crazy.
Daylan was moving even before her body hit the floor, he crouched by her feet as she sat up. Both her gasped worried him, was she repulsed, afraid, hating him? Impossible had been his first thought when it happened to him, now it was second nature, but he knew to her it must be so far from normal. Her bowled his head, now he knew she wasn’t hurt. Looking up at her through his brow and fur he watched her, making sure she wasn’t afraid. He was ready to move if she was.
Now he had changed he could hear the minds of the others in wolf form, he hoped they know what he was doing and keep their distance.

"You do..." Kele said sadly and softly as Daylan tried to convince her they didnt need help. "But there's nothing wrong with that, everyone needs help sometimes...I'll be there with you through it all" Kele assured her, not wanting him to think he'd have to go through it alone. She couldn't imagine how scary having these kinds of delusions must be. She knew she wouldn't abandon him because of them. Kele found it hard to join in his laughter about Sam and Emily.
"You can tell me whatever you want" Kele told him as he spoke of her being the only one he could tell about this. He called her his imprintee again, it had seemed sweet at first, hearing the old legend, but knowing how much he believed in them, she was just worried now by how much of his sanity was lost to the stories. When he told her how he couldnt go against Sam, she wondered if he had somehow brainwashed him into all of this. "Day you can do whatever you want, you're independent and strong, you dont have to listen to anyone else. "
The revelation of Day actually turning to a wolf in front of Kele's eyes had been more than she could have ever expected to happen in reality she had been convinced that he was either joking or mentally ill, but now she was seeing it herself. She had fallen into the delusions and hallucinations. The wolf moved closer to her feet as she pushed herself into a sitting position after having fell backwards. "Oh god..." She repeated staring at the animal in front of her, not sure how to feel in this moment. "This can't be....I'm going crazy with you, I can't believe it" She said staring at the animal, knowing she had seen Daylan morph into this creature and staring into its eyes looking to see him again.
"We're both crazy "She said looking down at her own hands and legs wondering if she was going to start seeing herself change into a wolf too.

“I have help, the whole pack.” He said with a confident smile, he knew his brothers had his back like he had there. That wasn’t to say that he didn’t want or need her help, she was his soul mate he wanted and needed her in all ways, but he’d never put her in danger with that need.
Daylan gave a half laugh, he was all the things she said he was, but he still couldn’t and wouldn’t go against Sam. “No its not a matter of strength. Alpha’s orders, we can’t go against them. Impossible.” He said knowing he sounded like Jared whenever he explained the gag order. “And you’re right I can tell you, I want to tell you. Its just hard Kele, so much to tell” He said thinking over all the legends and stories he’d heard as a child and as a wolf.
He watched her so closely as he turned. He watched for even the slightest fear, but she just seemed to think they were both crazy. If a wolf could laugh that’s what Daylan gave as she spoke. He wanted to tell her they weren’t crazy, but a talking wolf really would be crazy. Standing and edging towards her he hoped he wouldn’t frighten her, he wanted her to be ok with all that he was, but he knew it was a lot to take in.

The more Daylan spoke of a pack of them the more that it worried Kele. She desperately wanted to get him help. She knew he could be helped, maybe he just needed someone to talk to, or a little medication. He wasn't insane, just a little delusional. "Day, please...there's no pack, there's a group of other guys on the reservation and they're not helping you if they're aiding in your delusions...just let me take you to someone, I'll be right beside you"
"Alpha...no, no one's your alpha, no one's in charge of you and what you do or dont say. You can talk to me about anything no matter what Sam or anyone else tells you....is it drugs?" He said wondering if the other guys were giving Daylan something that was making him act this way.
Kele sat on the ground going between staring at the wolf in front of her and looking at her own body, wondering if she was going to start seeing things in herself too. If she was crazy enough to think she had seen Day change into a wolf, maybe she'd think she was changing too. "I'm crazy..." She repeated again as she looked back up at the wolf in front of her.
As the wolf slowly moved closer to her she wasn't afraid of it, just having lost her mind at the moment. She reached forward, placing her hand on its shoulder, surprised she was making contact with not only a real body, but one with fur. "No...you can't be....because I saw you...I saw Day right here and then you....but that's crazy"
