Nash felt relief hearing Dal say that she didnt doubt the imprinting either. He had been so scared and hurt to think that she'd reject it now, worried about what the repercussions of that could be. No imprintee had ever rejected it before, but he wondered if it was possible. Would he then just be forced to leave her, to try to forget the gaping hole left in his heart? He knew he'd have to stay strong for his son, but how could he even go on breathing without her?
He gave a small smile as she told him her world would be empty without him and Travis, he felt the same about the two of them. "I dont know either, I can't bear the thought of being without you or him either...but I have gone on without her" He said hoping she knew the difference there. "I'm sorry that my words hurt you, I wish that I could take them back...I never want to cause you any pain" He told her, smiling as he heard her admit that she'd like children. "I'd like that too, someday"
It was hard for Nash to hear Lyndal apologize for anything, thinking she didnt need to feel bad about any of this. But at the same time he was relieved to hear she knew it was more than lust but had just said that out of confusion. He turned to her instantly as she asked him not to turn away, ready to do anything for her, as he tried to blink away the tears from his eyes. "I'm sorry I confused you like this"
"There wasn't really anything specific that brought her up" He admitted, wishing he had some excuse to use of why he'd have been talking about her. "We were just talking about the imprinting stuff, and I was just amazed that I'd have found someone like you...she was just a bad comparison in the conversation"
"I've never doubted out love either, or that this is imprinting. Its for real, and its permanent" He said certain. "Its okay" He added understandingly as she mentioned how she shouldnt have brought Travis into it. "I'm sorry that I made this more complicated for you..but I'm glad you still feel it"
"You never have to worry about losing me, not ever" He assured her as she spoke of how it scared her. He listened to her ask if he'd stay in here tonight. "I'll stay if you want me to" He told her, knowing he wouldnt crowd her if she didnt want him there, but eager to be there if she did want him to stay.

Even in the face of what she’d heard Lyndal wasn’t doubting the feelings they had, the imprinting as it was called. What she wanted to do was offer him a way to say he’d made a mistake, that they didn’t imprint, she thought the words he over heard we’re him wanting out. As he spoke she heard the emotion in his voice and knew his heart was breaking as much as hers.
He had gone on without Michelle not just gone on, but flourished. Lyndal knew she couldn’t go on without him and she believed his words, they were joined and connected so strongly it’d hurt to be apart. “I’m ok, it was just a shock to hear her name and hear what I thought was doubt.” She said more gently feeling her tears slow, but the emotion didn’t ease up. The talk of children made her smile, she wanted to have a child with Nash and give him more children and Travis a brother or sister some day. “Someday sounds good.” She smiled a little.
Looking up into his face Lyndal watched him blink back the tears, “Nash don’t hide your emotions, this has hurt us both.” she said gently wanting to reach up and kiss him but not quiet there yet. “All of this still confuses me, I guess I’m not adjusting to the wolf part of all this as well as it thought.”
It was a relief to hear that he hadn’t been thinking about her recently or heard from her, but she still didn’t like him talking about her. It was more then jealousy, there was anger too for what she’d done to them man she loved. “She makes me mad and I’ve never even met her.” Lyndal said stating what she’d felt and maybe to explain her outburst of tears. “Does Travis ever ask about her?” She asked curiously and wondering where Trav saw her and his mother in the parenting scale, if at all.
The permanent part had never worried Lyndal, nor had the speed of their feelings. She loved Nash so much it was all natural. “I like the permanent part.” She smiled again, “as for complicated I think all of this is, this thing didn’t add to it too much.” she said with a slight shrug.
It was hard to be together in the house with his aunt and uncle always watching, but Lyndal didn’t want to let him go for the night. “I want you here.” She said turning and pushing her books off the bed, she couldn’t study anymore even if he did leave. With the bed clear Lyndal turned back to him and moved closer to him. With Nash Lyndal always wanted to be close to him, touching him and now she needed that contact. Pressing her lips to his she wrapped her arms around his neck deepening the embrace and kiss.

"I should have been more aware of what I was saying and how it could have sounded." Nash said still feeling guilty over it. He knew it wasn't a matter of him trying to hide anything from her, but he just wished she had heard the whole thing so she hadn't needed to think of the wrong implications of his words. "There is no doubt, never" He confirmed. He smiled again as she said how children someday sounded good to her. He loved Travis and being a father, but wasn't in a rush for another one. Lyndal was still young and he didnt want to rush her into parenthood before she was ready, though she was already moving in that direction with Travis. He didnt want to make the same mistakes with her as he did with Michelle.
He shook his head as she told him not to hide his emotions when it hurt them both. "I hurt you, that's why I'm in pain. I should never be the one hurting you, making you feel sad" Nash told her, nodding as she said she was still confused and adjusting to the wolf part. "Its a lot to ask anyone to adjust to"
"She makes me mad if I really think about it, but I think I feel sorry for her now...she was so selfish that she missed out on such an amazing little boy" Nash said, the anger still there, not for her leaving him but leaving their son like that. "Travis is just starting to be at that age where he wonders things, like why he doesnt have a mommy like other kids...If it's his fault he doesn't have one...why we don't have our own house...when he asks about Michelle, I just wish I had better answers for him"
Though thinking about how to explain all of this to Travis was difficult, he smiled as she told him she liked the permanent part of their imprinting. "I'm glad it doesnt scare you off"
He nodded as she confirmed that she did want him to stay in her room tonight. He pushed away any anxiety he had over his aunt and uncle catching them, or Travis wondering why he hadn't come to bed that night, he was only focused on making things right with his imprintee, moving further onto the bed and meeting her as she kissed him, putting his arms around her waist as he pulled her towards him.

Having them both in pain wasn’t what she wanted, she felt his pain and wanted to right that like he wanted to right her pain. “You been here stops me been hurt.” She admitted knowing that’s how it always was with him. The wolf thing was an adjustment she was working on. “I’m still getting my head around it, but I’m ok with it.”
Michelle made her mad, but she pitied her too, Michelle would never have what Lyndal had with Nash. “She missed out on an amazing soul mate too.” She smiled at him wanting him to realize it wasn’t just Travis that was amazing. As she listened to what Travis was starting to question Lyndal realized she waned to step into that mothering role no matter her age. “I want that role. I don’t care about a house or her, but I want to be his mother if he and you’ll let me.” She said hoping he wouldn’t think she was over stepping her bounds.
Lyndal wasn’t sure there was a way to explain Imprinting and true love to a child, but she knew Travis would see there love and hoped that would be enough. “Nothing about you or this scares me off.” She smiled.
Feeling his arms around her waist Lyndal smiled into the kiss depending it and trailing her hands down his back and lifting the hem of his t shirt to feel his bare skin. Lyndal wanted so much more out of the kiss as she often did, but this time she felt the strength and spur to act on her feelings. Without breaking the kiss Lyndal started to lift the shirt hoping Nash would match her action with her shirt. Pressing her body fully against his while pulling him towards her as she laid back on the bed.

Nash gave a light smile as she told him that his presence was easing her pain. It was exactly what was supposed to happen. He felt a little guilty that the 'magic' of imprinting was the reason she was less upset with him, not wanting her to feel as though he had found a way to trick her into forgiving his insensitivity on the phone. "You're dealing with it all better than I could have hoped you would" He told her honestly, knowing his (and the other imprinters) biggest fear would be her running from the news.
Nash felt warmed to hear her say how Michelle had missed out on an amazing soulmate too. "She never had a chance of that" He told her knowing he never had the connection with Michelle that he did with Lyndal, it never came close. He was grateful to Daylan for talking him out of trying to marry Michelle to fix the situation. He couldn't imagine being married and then imprinting.
Nash was in shock as he heard her speak up about wanting the role of Travis' mother. He hadn't expected that, not this soon at least. She was still adjusting to the imprinting and being with him but she was ready to step up as his mother? It was where Nash hoped they'd be in the future the three of them a family, but he worried it would be rushing things for Lyndal and Travis to have her in that role now. "I would love for you to fill that role...in time, when you're both ready" he said gently, knowing Travis would take some getting used to the situation of them even together before he could accept her as his mother. He hoped his answer wouldnt hurt Lyndal. "It means a lot to me that you want to"
The deepening of the kiss was everything that the two of them needed to heal the wounds of the conversation. The pain of the memories of another woman, and a child between them. Nash could feel the softness of her skin as her hands began lifting up his shirt. He leaned down following her forward as she laid back on the bed. Taking her lead he broke the kiss only momentarily to allow her to help him remove his shirt, not thinking anything of it as often times he was shirtless around her. He immediately went right back to kissing her, feeling the rush of excitement.

Knowing now that they truly were Soulmate Lyndal could only imagine what it must be like to be in love with someone but not to the same depth they felt. She knew Michelle truly missed out on a lot when she left. Even as he said it Dal wondered what chance Michelle had had or would have now if she returned, but it was good to hear she had no chance.
It was a bold move to suggest wanting to take on the role of Travis mother, but it was one she firmly hoped to hold some day. Lyndal knew she was young, but she loved Trav and Nash and wanted that family life for them. “I know it’ll take him time, to see us together and to accept me in any sort of mothering role, but I want you to know its how I feel and what I want more then anything.” She hoped her words came across as strong and determined like she felt and not emotional and childish. “I already love him very much.”
As their kiss broke and Nash slipped off his shirt Lyndal suddenly wanted hers gone too, to feel the skin to skin contact. Already through her own shirt she could feel the added heat of his body, something she was used to and welcomed. It wasn’t unusual for her to see him shirtless, it was a state he was in more then been fully clothed. Wrapping her arms back around him Lyndal’s hand drift to the waist of his jeans while the other hand cupped his head pulling his hold body closer to hers.
Lyndal had thought often about taking the next step with Nash, but now she found it was beyond thinking about it. Lyndal wanted Nash. Never before had she wanted a man like she wanted this man. She felt they needed this, that he needed it. Part of her reasoned maybe Nash needed it, the lack of a more physical aspect to their relationship could have risen his thoughts on Michelle. With all that in mind Lyndal lifted her hips as much as she could as he hand slipped to the rear pocket of his jeans.

Before Nash met Lyndal, he had been sure that Michelle must have been his imprintee, mostly by default, that she was the mother of his child. He thought that if she came back, the imprinting would change her feelings towards him and Travis and their family would be complete, it was a solution that never really would have worked, but in the mind of a desperate teenage father, was all that gave him hope. Until Lyndal came, and the love he felt for her was immediate and strong, and he knew that nothing he had with Michelle would ever compare. Michelle didnt deserve to have a place in his family, Lyndal did.
"Can you really look at him and love him like your own?" Nash said, not meaning to question her feelings but amazed that she was able to feel so strongly for a child that wasn't biologically hers. It was something he wished would happen in time, but even then wasnt sure she'd be more than a 'good friend' to him. "I would love for him to think of you that way...he needs someone like that in his life"
It didnt take long before their kissing progressed and his shirt was gone, a barrier beneath them now gone. he could feel her body against his all the more as he leaned over her kissing her passionately as she pulled his body towards her, her hand on the back of his head. He leaned his head down breaking the kiss for a moment as he kissed her neck, letting his passion take hold.
To his surprise her hips lifted up and he felt the friction against his own as she pulled him against her. His body responded pushing forward. Her hands slipped into the rear pocket of his jeans and he felt the pressure against his body, letting out a moan before recapturing her lips in his own.

There was no question about it, Lyndal wanted Travis to be hers, she already felt a love for him stronger then anything she’d felt for any other children she’d known. She wanted to be the mother in his life and she knew she wanted to have more children. “I already feel more for him then I’ve ever felt for a child. I worry about him and think about him and want to see him.” Lyndal said truthfully hoping her words wouldn’t sound obsessive or strange. She didn’t feel her feelings or the strength of them were been questioned merely that he was worried for his son and maybe her. “I’d be happy to be his mother some day.”
Their kissing quickly escalated and for the first time they were alone and able to see where their feelings would take them. As his lips moved to her neck Lyndal bit down on her lip and arched her back pushing her body against his. Several small gasps and moans escaped her mouth as his lips played on her neck.
The pressure of his body against her was what she wanted and craved for longer then she could remember. It was a heaviness she welcomed. Suddenly there were too many barriers between them and Lyndal felt aware of everyone of them. When his lips crashed back to her she worked her hand between them dipping it down his bare, toned stomach towards the front of his jeans this time. It was further then she’d ever imagined with a man, and certainly further then she knew to go before marriage, but they were soul mates joined on a level greater then marriage.
She couldn’t bare to part her lips from his for long, instead stealing gasps when their lips weren’t completely touching. She felt a heady rush but knew it was from more then just the lack of oxygen or the heat of the room. Moving her own lips to his neck and collar bone Lyndal took fevered breaths between kisses on his bare skin. “I love you.” She whispered into his ear before trailing kisses down his neck.

It felt too good to be true for Nash to hear Lyndal talk about Travis that way. To express such motherly concern for him now. Much more than the boy's biological mother had ever felt. He wondered if Michelle even still thought of the boy, or if he was only an afterthought if she caught sight of a stretch mark. "Travis would be lucky to have you as his mother some day" he told her, knowing of course that it would be Travis' choice of how much the boy was ready to let her in to his life. He wouldnt force Dal onto him. Lyndal would always be in Nash's life, but he couldnt make his son feel the same way.
As their talking transitioned to kissing, he watched as her body responded to his lips against the skin of her neck. Her back arched and Nash slipped a hand behind her, supporting her as his palm rested in the center of her back.
His breathing was becoming more ragged as her hand moved along his abs towards the front of his jeans causing him to catch his breath. He knew he should be stopping her but his desire was taking over any logical thought in the moment. They were both lost in the moment in a fury of kisses. He put his head back exposing his neck as she kissed his collar bone. He heard the words that sent his heart soaring. "I love you Lyndal" He told her, his free hand slowly tracing the bottom of her shirt, his hand sliding under along her ribs.

Lyndal was lucky to have Travis and Nash in her life, she was glad, happy and excited. Both the boys n her life made her heart soar. “well see how he feels about it, he’s much more changeable then our feelings for each other.” Lyndal said knowing she wasn’t going to force herself on to anything or one to anyone.
Her reactions were instinctual, as if her body knew how to react to his touch even if her mind didn’t know what it was doing. The back of her mind questioned if she was doing it right, never did she question if it was the right thing. She knew Nash had experience that she didn’t have and she worried if she was doing it right or the way he wanted. As his hand slipped under her back she moaned slightly smiling at the increased contact.
As their kiss broke Lyndal heard his own ragged breathing glad it wasn’t just her that was having trouble holding in the excitement and breathing. She couldn’t even think about stopping, it wasn’t even a factor in her mind. Gently kissing his exposed throat Lyndal still pushed the more sensitive parts of her body against his enjoying the touch and the raised sensations. Hearing his love Lyndal smiled and brought her lips back to his with the stronger growing urgency.
There was no chance she was going to stop the touch of his hand slipping under her shirt, she wanted to remove the barriers between them. Pushing her lower back into the soft mattress she hoped it would give him the hint what she wanted and the opportunity to do so. Her own hand still cupped his head while her other hand worked at the button of his jeans.

"Thats true" Nash agreed with a nod. His feelings for Lyndal would never change. In 50 years from now he would still be madly in love with her and willing to do anything for her. But he had no idea what Travis' feelings would be. He didnt even know how the boy would feel a month from now. He didnt know how he'd react if Nash proposed to Lyndal, or if they got married. If he reacted one way now, years from now he could feel differently. Travis didnt have that feeling they both had from imprinting. His feelings for Dal would have to be natural.
Lyndal's moan and smile was encouraging to Nash that he wasn't forcing anything on her and that she was enjoying herself just as much as he was. He wanted her happy and even acting on instincts the nonverbal cues she gave were enough reinforcement to guide him, keeping his hold on her, never wanting to let her go.
Their bodies continued to press against each other in a passionate heat as their lips explored the exposed areas of each other. He wanted to make love to her. He wanted to show her everything he felt, his ever desire for her and make her feel loved as they moved as one. His mind was clouded as his male urges took over, allowing their passion to take lead. His hand moved from her ribs across her stomach, as he started raising her shirt.
He could feel her hand moving to the button of his jeans and gave a slight gasp. He knew where this was headed. He knew if he let it go further what would happen. He didnt know if in the morning she'd regret it, or feel taken advantage of in her vulnerable and upset mood. He worried that sex would ruin things. That she could end up pregnant and he'd destroy everything they had. He heard the zipper of his jeans go down and reached his hand down placing it over hers to keep her from going further. "I'm sorry"

Every part of her body wanted his body. Lyndal knew for the first time in her life she wanted to make love, and she knew she could only ever feel like that with Nash. As they held each other Lyndal realized she never wanted to let go or be let go of. Sometimes when they touched it was as if she felt true love all over again, or another completion of the imprinting.
She wanted to give herself to him and to keep that other sense of completion that she knew he’d felt with another. She loved Travis deeply, but seeing him was a constant reminder of a line she and Nash hadn’t crossed and she felt she was missing something and that he was missing something too. As his hand started to raise her shirt Lyndal felt her breath hitch then quicken in anticipation, she’d never been more bare to a guy then a bathing suit but with Nash she wasn’t nervous.
As she reached for the button and zipper of his jeans she heard his gasp and smiled slightly, pleased with the effect she could have on one so much more experienced then herself. She wanted to take a little control even if she wasn’t entirely sure what she was doing.
When his hand covered hers in that split second Lyndal thought he was encouraging her, guiding her, but his words changed that. Her hand relaxed its grip on the zipper just as he other hand released his neck and she looked up into his eyes. Her breath was still ragged and her body certainly showed no signed of slowing its erratic racing. She didn’t know what to say, his words made clear what his actions didn’t; he didn’t want her.
Lyndal tried to move, first dropping her eyes from his facing and moving her arms to help her try to sit up. “Its ok, I understand.” she muttered as she moved her accent, emotion and racing breath working to cover the words. “You don’t want me?” She finally questioned as she sat up pulling her legs out from beneath him and scooting up to the top of the bed. Drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them Lyndal did all she could not to look at him her eyes dancing around the room unfocused, but tearless. It was hard for her to realize that he didn’t want her despite his words, why else would he apologize when she tried to encourage their love to move further.

Nash's desire for Lyndal, phsyically and emotionally was just as strong as hers, if not stronger he thought because he was the imprinter. He wanted to be with her in the most intimate way and with the deepest expression of love. But he also desired her body as much as he did her soul. He found her attractive in every way. And almost impossible to resist.
Nash was careful as he raised her shirt, not too sudden or drastic that he would be rushing her and making sure to give her plenty of time if she wanted him to stop. He just needed the contact with her skin. The way that it felt to have their bare skin pressed up against each other was like a million fireworks going off, and he could only imagine the magic that would be created when they did consummate it.
In a moment everything had changed. His brain kicked in as her hand was about to cross the point of no return. He stopped her despite his body's every protest. In an instant her hands retreated from their positions on him and she looked up at him. They were both still breathing heavily and he knew he still wanted her but had to try to stop before they both made a mistake they'd regret.
Her eyes left his, dropping down and he felt guilty. He moved off from on top of her as he saw her moving to sit up. She drew her knees up to her chest as she sat away from him. He pushed himself into a sitting position and grabbed a pillow to put across his lap, shaking his head in disbelief that she could even think he didnt want her. "Thats not it at all...of course I want you...I just don't want us to make a mistake"

His skin against her own, no matter how slight, was amazing. She’d always felt tingles when they touched our kissed but this was different. It wasn’t the heat, I was as if her very skin reach out for his and she would only wonder how amazing anything further would be.
When he stopped it all Lyndal felt her world crash, she felt rejected and truly felt as if all his words had been wrong. She wanted to give herself, a very special part of herself to him and he stopped it all. She couldn’t look at him for long afraid the tears would fall or that anger would spill out, both very likely reactions. She wondered if almost going further with her had sparked his feelings again for Michelle.
The both retreated to opposite ends of the bed, both retaining barriers she her knees and him the pillow. Lyndal didn’t even smirk at his obvious need for it, moments ago she’d fully felt that what he now hid. When he answered her question and shook his head she felt like a small child be chastised for acting silly, she didn’t think any of what she’d said was silly. “A mistake? How can any of this be a mistake?” She asked confused and angered as if she’d missed something. “We’re in love and supposed to be soul mates, how can going the next step be a mistake? I don’t understand you Nash you go on about love and forever, but when it comes to it you don’t want me.” She said expressing truly how she felt but trying to keep her voice low.
Lyndal still wanted him, she’d wanted to be prepared for this moment since they’d shown their obvious attraction. She knew he wasn’t a virgin like herself so she’d spoke to the doctor, her brother, for birth control much to his shock and big brother attitude. Now it seemed she wouldn’t need it, Nash didn’t want to take that step. “I’m ready for this if that’s what your so worried about. I want to be with you, completely with you.”

Feeling her skin pressed against his was like perfection. It just made him crave more. He moved his body forward so that his body would push up her shirt just slightly allowing their stomach's to make direct contact, increasing the amount of her skin he felt against hers. He wanted to continue on this path and put away any thoughts in his head, just act on what felt right in the moment. But he knew he had done that once before and it hadn't ended well.
Nash knew that if her hand had gone any further, no matter what his mind said, his manly desires would have taken over and he wouldnt have been able to stop it. As it was it was hard to do. Seeing her reaction he knew he had hurt her, despite the fact that by stopping he was attempting to avoid hurting her. She was so good and innocent, he didnt want to take advantage or put her in a situation they weren't ready for. He didnt want his calming imprinting nature to take over for what she really wanted or didnt want.
It was hard to see her move away from him after they had been so close. He worried about whether he had made the right choice or should have just been reckless. He listened to her question how it could be a mistake when they loved each other. "We are soul mates and I do love you but that doesnt mean we have to rush the physical aspect of this.." He shook his head as she said how he didnt want her. "That's not true, of course I want to take the next step with you...but Dal, I'm more experienced than you...I don't want that to make you think we have to, or that its a fix for our fight earlier" He said knowing he wasn't saying the right thing.
"I want to be with you too..." He told her as she said how she was ready. "I dont want you to regret this in the morning"
