"I'm sure we will see how stubborn" Nash said, knowing one day they would share this. He hoped they'd get to plan when to have a family, but wanted more children with her. He knew conceiving Travis was easy, the genes though not activated in Nash may still have wanted to be passed on. Or maybe since Michelle wasn't his imprintee, Travis had no chance of carrying that gene. He smiled as Dal told him how she thought of it the first time and more since. "I've thought about it since then too"
"You're lucky to have the opportunity, you should be grateful for it. I know I'm lucky that you came...I would have never met you if it hadn't happened" He said feeling pain at just the thought of having missed his imprintee completely. "I can't do college, I have to save up to move out of here, and get enough put away so my son can go to college...and traveling, yeah maybe someday I can do little trips...but I have to be here to patrol, the pack needs me"
"I want you here" He replied as she tried to convince him she did like being here. He nodded as she apologized for the comment about his parents. "It's okay...it was a long time ago" He said softly, knowing he still missed them and their guidance. He also hated that Travis didnt know any of his grandparents, one pair had died, the other quickly dumped him and skipped town. He didnt know why she kept bringing up school, he hadn't thought it was even that hard for her. "You're smart, you can do well and juggle the two" He said confident in her.
He smiled as she told him that he was hers and she was his and that was all that mattered. "Thats what matters to me too" He confirmed. He felt a comfort as she asked to be held, even if she hadn't added about not pushing it, just the fact that she wasn't kicking him out that night made him know they could get through this. "Gladly" He told her, putting his arms around her. "I hate fighting with you, I dont want to again either...I'm sorry that I let it get to that point...I never want to upset you"

Talking about their future chances of children and his genes been passed on made Dal smile at the very thought of them having children together. Although it wasn’t a constant on her mind, it was something she wanted very much in the future.
The very thought of having never met him and connected with him as they had scared Lyndal, she couldn’t imagine not having him in her life. Hearing him talk about not going to college and the money he had to save made her feel more responsible, “I can get a part time job too and help. I mean I want to be with you so I want to help pay for it.” she said knowing that tomorrow she’d start looking and even ask Laurie if he knew of a job in town. “We never have to leave the rez, I never want to leave anywhere you are and the wolf thing is as much a part of you as everything else I love about you.” She smiled.
Dal knew she’d over stepped a lot of boundaries with her harsh words about the rez and parents, she wondered how she could have been so thoughtless to have spoken about her parents when Nash had lost his. “Time doesn’t heal everything and I was dingo to say that tosh, sorry.” She said hoping he’d accept her apology. She didn’t have the best, or even passable, relationship with her parents, but atleast they were still around. As the conversation moved to school Dal felt more and more despondent about the conversation. “That’s the thing Nash, I’m not juggling the two.” She said shaking her head slightly and feeling embarrassed. “Schools hopeless.” She admitted.
Moving into his arms settled everything she was feeling, she felt the familiar feeling of soothing completion was over her. His body, still half unclothed, warmed hers in a way she was getting very used to and actually liked. “we both let it get to that point, I’m sorry too.” She said moving gently, not teasingly, to get comfortable in his arms. “I’m not upset now just embarrassed and tired. Its right what you said, we should wait my parents always taught us that and I know my brother is waiting.” She confessed.

Nash shook his head as Lyndal started talking about getting a part time job to help out. This wasn't her responsibility, she shouldn't feel like she had to give up like he did, when it was his mistake that got him in the situation. He didnt want her feeling guilty for this. "No, you don't need to do that. I'm making enough, and some day Day and I will buy that garage and we'll get all the profits from it" He told her, trying to convince her he didnt need her help. "You should focus on school, on your life and your future. I can handle some bills" He assured her, smiling as she said how they never had to leave the rez. "You wouldnt mind living here for longer than the year? Continuing to put up with this wolf thing?" He said loving that she understood it was a part of him.
"Its okay, I know you wouldnt have meant that" Nash said, knowing she wasn't cruel enough to throw dead parents in his face. It was something she'd forgotten, easy to do when he lived with two adults, only his aunt and uncle instead of parents.
As he heard her mention school, it finally sunk in that this was a problem that was really on her mind. It wasn't just the sound of normal stress from class, but she was concerned. "Its really not going well is it?" He asked her his voice matching her concern. "Is it a certain class? Because of me? I should have realized sooner....I can help..." he offered, knowing he'd do whatever he had to in order to help her.
Feeling her back in his arms felt like a complete resolution to their fight, even if the emotions between them still held some conflict. "You don't have to be sorry" He said not wanting her to feel ashamed for her feelings when he had them too, and had acted on them in the past. It wasn't as if he had some higher morals to uphold. "Don't be embarrassed, I felt the same as you, our feelings weren't wrong, just the when" He told her, nodding as she said how she did want to wait now too. He was surprised to learn that her brother was waiting too, he knew Laurie was older than himself, a doctor, and had been dating Leo's sister for some time now. He knew that piece of information would be of interest to his fellow wolf if it ended up on his mind during patrol. "If its what you believe, thats just another reason we should wait...we have the rest of our lives"

It wasn’t nobility or a misplaced sense of guilt that had Lyndal offering to take a job, she wanted to help to bring something to the family she was now a part of. “Let me help Nash, I can do something small.” She said knowing now wasn’t the time to push it, but also knowing that she wasn’t going to let it stop. The idea of him and day buying the garage made sense and made her smile, she could see he had apparitions and hope something she would help him with however she could. “As for staying on the Rez I’ll stay wherever you are, no matter how long. I actually like it here, except maybe the weather.” She smiled and joked. Lyndal knew it would be hard for him to leave his home and his responsibilities.
No matter how much he understood Dal still felt terrible for mentioning parents, “I’m not sure I meant half of what I said.” She said with a grimace knowing it was a terrible trait she had to say things in anger she’d never mean any other time. “I know you didn’t either.” She clarified.
School was horrible and as much as Dal didn’t want Nash to know and worry she knew she couldn’t keep it from him. “Try terrible. Its hopeless.’ She admitted, but when he asked about classes her eyes fell closed. “Every class. My grades are down in everyone. Its not you, its me. I need to balance life better.” She said hoping he wouldn’t feel guilty, she enjoyed the time she spent with him no matter how little or how late or early that time had to be. “I’m not going to add to your problems or cut down on the little time we do get together. I’ll cope.” She said gently with hope.
Back in his arms Dal could almost forget anything had happened, she was embarrassed but been him Nash’s arms helped. “We can wait.” She smiled knowing it was what her parents had taught her and now she knew Nash wanted to wait too it made it easier. It wasn’t her secret to tell, but Laurie’s status slipped out and knowing about the telepathy Wolves had Dal laughed a little. “You keep that to yourself and out of your head when the rest of the pack can hear or Laurie will find out and kill me.” She joked, but knew he brother wouldn’t be pleased if the whole rez knew. The rest of their lives, Dal loved the words and couldn’t wait for it.
Relaxing into his embrace Dal closed her eyes. “Do you work tomorrow?” she wondered knowing she had class, but hoping she could skip it with the lack of sleep and homework she’d gotten done.

Nash shook his head, knowing he couldn't let himself be responsible for her slipping grades because she felt like she needed to take a job to help out around the house. "No, Dal we're fine. Just focus on getting through school, let me worry about the rest" It made him smile to hear her continue to say she'd stay on the Rez with him. "Yeah, the weather could be better...but at least this way I get an excuse to warm you up" He added with a smirk.
He nodded more seriously as she said she didnt mean half of what she said and knew he didnt either, glad that they were moving beyond the fight. It still was hard to hear how bad school was going for him, and know that it was his fault. "Its not hopeless, you're smarter than I am and I made it through" He told her. "Its me too..I'm taking up your time outside of classes...the only way to not cut down on our time together and for your grades not to keep slipping is for us to work on your homework together. We'll put aside some time to study, I can quiz you or something" He offered, wanting to help in anyway he could.
He smiled as she agreed to wait, knowing that having one less thing to fight about would be good. He laughed as she scolded him about keeping her brother's secret to himself. "I can't always help it but I'll try" He told her, knowing that at least most of the time he had enough other things to pre-occupy his mind. He enjoyed the feeling of her in his arms as she asked about the next day. "No work tomorrow, but patrol tomorrow night" He told her.

Regardless of the fight they’d almost erupted into the gentle, firm tone her used and his flirting smirk made her smile. “We can share the worry, I’m not a baby. I’m would partner in all this, remember.” She pointed out sternly, she refused to let him have the age or maturity advantage over her. Dal wasn’t going to let him shoulder all the burden or the responsibly. “You don’t need the excuse of cold to get close to me….’ She added with her own smirk wanting to be close to him now but knowing they needed to finish the serious talk before getting distracted in one another.
It felt hopeless and utterly hard, she hated the classes because she was failing and so far behind all the others. She hated school because it took her away from Nash and Travis even if they were out at their own day time things. Most of all she hated adding to the burdens she and Nash already had by bringing failing grades into it. “You as my tutor?” She laughed thinking of it for a moment and nodding, it made sense, they spent almost every waking moment together - and some sleeping ones. “Maybe just having you there making me focus will help, I always want to be with you so my head doesn’t focus when I try to study and have to be away from you.” She addmited with another sigh.
“You should keep your mind on other things to keep our secrets too, I’m sure Day isn’t one for keeping things to himself.” She laughed knowing day would probably tease her with any little tidbits he got, but she liked Nash’s best friend so it was ok.
Been in his arms with the prospect of the next day together Dal sighed, “Maybe we can do something together. You, Trav and I? A family?” She said using the word nervously after the subject of their fight worried he would again have something to say about her rushing or taking on too much.
