Rosalie had watched the short exchange between her sister and the hybrid with increasing irritation. Her arms crossed in disapproval watching her sister somehow still be collected at such an inconvenience. Of course, she should have expected Alice to be the sugar coating enabler. Rose still felt something very wrong about this, and could barely distinguish her prejudices of the girl's partial humanity from the discomfort of the unknown of her past.
She let the girl offer her apologies, though unconvinced. Part of her disliked the fact that she was entirely ignorant on so many things about herself; either that or she was feigning it. If she was going to present herself to them, she should have known what the hell she was talking about. "Perhaps?" she shot at her, glancing at Edward before turning back to Alice, catching the weary smile that only added to her alarm. "Where is Carlisle? This isn't right."

Jayden’s whole body tensed as the beautiful blonde shot her a look mixed with hatred and anger, her own temper kicked in and she couldn’t hold back the words that spilled forth.
“Did I wrong you in another life? Or do you always hate people on sight?” She asked in a raised voice. “I came here out of curiosity, not out of some desire to interfere with your family. I am not vindictive like that. And now when I offer nothing but truth and openness you show me nothing but hate and anger. How dare you? I will not speken too or treated like this.” Jayden snapped at the girl.
Jayden couldn’t understand what she had done to anger her so. She didn’t deserve the hatred that was been thrown at her. Surely she couldn’t hate her just because she was different, there had to be something more.
“You should curb your attitude when you speak to others. Such bitterness and hatred do little for your looks.” Jayden said holding her head high and glaring at Rosalie. “I see with you beauty is only skin deep.”

Turning slowly to face her, Rosalie's glare solidified while the stupid child went through her temper tantrum. She felt the venom spring up into her mouth and the urge to launch herself to the hybrid almost overcame her control. It wasn't as if she would be able to do much as long as Edward had the advantage, but it wouldn't stop her from trying.
"I will not let you come into my house and insult me in this manner," she said lowly and menacingly. The look of new found hatred in Jayden's face only intensified her own. "You are the one who came here; you have the burden of proof now and, frankly, your attempts at being convincing do not satisfy me, regardless of what Edward says." She couldn't help herself when she took a step foward, still keeping distance but challenging her in her defiance. "You haven't the first idea about who I am, so go find some new proverbs and try to find some original thought before you come here to tell me what to do."
She wanted mostly to cross the room to her and smack her; to put her mixed ancestry to the test... to see if she could bleed. But she knew she would be stopped before she could make it halfway across the room. "I'm suspicious because you have come to my family's home. If you had any family of your own, you might be suspicious of the unknown... and the unwelcome as well."

All of the fiery estrogen in the room right now was making Edward's head spin. It seemed like Rosalie and Jayden were seconds away from a cat fight that would involve slapping and hair pulling. Although being vampires it was more likely that they would end up destroying part of the house should they fight. Edward could understand Alice's frustration. Not being able to use your ability as you normally did took some getting used to. He had realized that with Bella and his initial frustration around her. But at least Alice had apologized for being rude. Rosalie just kept going. It didn't help the matter that Jayden appeared to have quite a temper of her own, but being the outnumbered one in the Cullen household, he felt the need to try to defend her.
"Rosalie, Jayden please!" Edward finally spoke up when he could take their arguing no more. "Rosalie, Carlisle isn't here right now, but he has welcomed her into this home, and we will do the same. We show our guests hospitality in this house" He said insistently. "Alice, I know this isn't easy on you, but I'll help in any way I can. Right now just know she's not deceiving us and has no false intentions" He turned finally to Jayden. "Please try to have some patience with my sisters, and I would like you to stay. It is better to resolve the issue than leave ill feelings for another time"

The low and malicious words hit Jayden like a kick to her gut, but she wasn’t not about to let this nasty blonde know that. She continued to glare across at her while controlling the urge to run forward and attack her. It would a stupid move; a house full of Cullen and Rosalie was a full Vampire therefore no doubt stronger then her. Jayden’s hope was that her anger and rage would make her a fine match for the psycho blonde.
“I had a real family” She spat back in her own defense as she stepped off on her heel. She hoped to cute Rosalie deep by pointing out the Cullen's lack of true ties. The words left her mouth and she already felt a tinge of guilt. It was an insult to Esme, Carlilse and Edward too, something she didn't mean to do.
Edward’s words stopped her in her tracks. She had even forgotten his presence in the room. His voice pulled her back to logic and she rested back on her heels. Her fists held tight by her side, he mind and body still flooded with adrenalin. She watched Edward as he spoke to his sisters in turn. His voice seemed calm though she wondered what effect that would have on Rosalie.
When Edward spoke with her she agreed with his sentiment; leaving would solve nothing and would only let Rosalie think she had won. There was no way she was giving her that satisfaction.
“Very well, I will stay. Anymore remarks from her, however, and I can’t guarantee my temper will hold.” Jayden said warming rather then threatening. She spoke to Edward solely not trusting her body’s reactions if she looked to Rosalie.

A smack in the face would have been less insulting, and less painful. Her real family was standing there right with her, she was insolent to make such a remark. Before Rosale could jab at her again, Edward interjected with words of peace and understanding. Rosalie ignored them, but kept her mouth shut. Her glare lasted a few seconds until the need to attend to her sister overwhelmed her attention. She touched Alice on the shoulder again, almost trying to will her to summon a premonition. It would let Jayden off the hook, which would irk her, but it would make Alice feel better.
"Don't try to censor me in my own house, little girl," she muttered, rolling her eyes but keeping her attention to Alice. "This hasn't happened before, as it?"

Little girl? Who the hell did this psycho blonde think she was. Jayden was boiling with anger, so much so she was almost glad when the beauty queen reject ran out of insults and turned back to the pixie-like Alice.
Alice had remained quiet and Jayden wondered if she was straining to see what was ahead for them if she remained here. She couldn’t imagine the loss she must be feeling. Jayden could almost understand if this little temper tantrum had come from her; as far as Jayden could see Rosalie as little to be this angry about.
Her own attention was on Alice then waiting for an answer to Rosalie’s question and to hear anything else she may say.

Rosalie was a firecracker that was for sure and Alice had come to learn that though they'd never fought before. Alice knew the outcome if they did and there never was a need to fight. They'd shared many interests and being that they were the two youngest females, it was only right that they be close to each other. Though the accusations and temper tantrums from the others had caused her headache to increase slightly. Rosalie was right when it came to her statement about being suspicious of unknown visitors. In all the years they'd lived together hardly any vampire/human had approached them before, seeing them as nothing more than disgusting, but here they'd been visited by a half-breed.
Poor Edward, he was caught up between the whole the mess and what he'd been hearing was probably not a nice as what was coming out of their mouths. He'd tried to draw a truce but it was shot down with more anger between them and Alice mouthed a "It-will-be-all-right" to him.
It was than that Rosalie put her hand on Alice's shoulder, it felt warm, something recognizable, "No I can't say its happened before," she couldn't see anything but a blank screen. It was if the movie had ended and now it was time to leave the theatre in a mad rush to beat the traffic but it was alien-like and cold. All eyes were on Alice now and for once she hadn't anything to say or add to the conversation.

Edward looked back and forth between the three strong women in the rom. While it didnt seem like they were quite on friendly terms, their thoughts were slightly calmer and he no longer was worried that any of them were about to jump and attack the other, however he knew that something like that could always change on a moments notice so he would have to be prepared to stop it if necessary.
Edward shook his head as Alice said that this had never happened to her before. That wasn't entirely true. It had happened on one other occurence and had almost come to a disastrous result. "There was one other time Alice" Edward reminded her, a bit of a pained expression on his face. He hated thinking about how it felt to be in Volterra, so lost without Bella. And then upon his return knowing how much pain he had caused his family. "You couldn't see the wolves when Bella jumped"

Watching the raven haired girl Jayden felt as if she was missing some back history and was on the outside of some ‘family’ joke. The hybrid was very put out that they were putting so much faith in what this seeing vampire obviously couldn’t see. “I assure you; whatever you were hoping for Alice to see or not see is beside the point. I’m here and as Edward will tell you, I mean you no harm or ill will.” Jayden said, and then despite the confidence in her words she folded her arms over her chest in a defensive gesture. It was growing harder for Jayden not to feel attacked with everyone trying to look into her future and the blonde, Rosalie, attacking her very motive for been there.
Turning towards Edward, perhaps her one ally in all this, Jayden listened to him correct his sister. As he spoke his face was glazed with a pained expression, when he mentioned Bella, his human girlfriend, Jayden wondered what had happened to cause the pain, were they, perhaps, not always so careful?
At the mention of wolves Jayden jumped, once more, to the defensive. “I have nothing to do with werewolves, of that I can certainly assure you. They are disgusting creatures.” Jayden said with distaste visible on her face. “I have never met one and I would never associate with their kind.” It was an awful feeling having to defend herself to these people whom she had done nothing to to cause suspicion. It was difficult been caught between wanting to leave in anger and never return and staying to hear the full explanation to this distrust and mention of wolves.

Edward could tell that Jayden wasn’t exactly thrilled with Alice’s gift, the one which was currently not working very well around the hybrid. She was in a defensive posture, which he knew was something that Rosalie wouldn’t respond well to, even if Edward could understand the reasoning behind it. “We’ve depended on Alice’s gift to give us a lot of insight and help us survive. It’s been as useful as my own in allowing us to maintain our way of life the way we do” Edward told her, knowing that Alice’s ability to see how things would turn out, and see if things would be dangerous for them to stay was as helpful as Edward’s ability to sort out the thoughts of those around them to check to see if humans had gotten suspicious. Jayden had to understand the reason they depended on Alice’s sight to so much, and why it bothered his sisters that she didn’t have it right now.
Edward saw Jayden turn to him for an explanation as he corrected his sister. He could see her tensing with the mention of the wolves. He heard her defending herself that she didn’t associate with werewolves. “It’s alright, I didn’t mean to imply that you had” He told her. “We have wolves in the area, shapeshifters from the Quileute reservation, their only job to protect their people from vampires. One of these caused another blip in Alice’s sight…All I meant was that we’ve seen she’s had trouble seeing the future before. This isn’t the first time, but its not common for her either” He said, trying to remain the mediator, and make Jayden feel like she didn’t have to be on constant defense, at least with him. He could hear from her thoughts that she was sincere and meant no harm to them or their way of life.

When Edward had mentioned that it had happened before Alice's own eyes grew wide. He was right. The time she had seen Bella cliff dive but had mistaken it for her committing suicide, which almost lead to the death of her own Brother in Volterra, though it had brought their family together once more. What could have been a tragedy ended up as a blessing for them all. So many futures yet the one the least likely was granted to them. It was thanks to Aro for having taken a liking to them though what he desired would never be granted to him.
Edward and the hybrid began to speak ill of the werewolves and even though Alice shared the same enthusiam for the furry monsters this was one topic she'd stay off of. Bella was close to the Quileute tribe members, especially Jacob and his pack members, and to hear others talk ill of them probably wouldn't settle well with them. The girl was a bit of a magnet for all things supernatural it seemed. While they spoke, Alice sat down away from the girl in order to clear her head for a minute from the dull ache.

Alice’s gift seemed quiet amazing to Jayden, something she knew was rare even among their kind. Though as a rarity herself she could see the value of it, though now it was a barrier between the people in the room. Alice’s reaction to Jayden was dividing the Cullen members in the room; something she didn’t want to do. As she listened to Edward praise his sister’s gift Jayden knew how useful such a ability could be to keep them hidden from human’s as well as their self proclaimed leaders. “I appreciate the Alice’s gifts usefulness. I seem to render it void in doing so I’m sorry for any pain that is causing.” Jayden said offering the apology towards Alice who was taking a seat across the room from her. “Having said that, gift or no gift, I am not here to pose a threat to your family. I do not appreciate you attitude for something I have no control over.” Jayden said directing it towards Rosalie this morning and knowing that could possibly start another tirade from the blonde.
The talk of wolves worried her, Jayden had never come in contact with shape shifters and worried what problems her hybrid nature would cause if she were to come across them. “I am no threat to them or their people as I am no threat to you and your family.” Jayden reiterated her earlier statement. “Do they know of your existence here?” Jayden asked wondering what the arrangement was with two beings living so close to one another territory.

"To these werewolves anything that isn't of the norm is a threat to them not on ignorance but because they seek to protect their people from harm. There are many who are unlike us and would be willing to destory them without a second thought." The tension in the room hadn't lifted and Rosalie most likely wouldn't take it sitting down, even if the girl had stated simply that she wasn't a threat to them. In more ways than one it was half true and half false to Alice. With three full-bred Vampires, this girl wouldn't be able to lift a finger before one or all of them would be able to take her down and with the beating heart in her chest it was rather easy. Though the false aspect had to deal with they didn't know what she was capable of since Alice wasn't able to see the outcome of a fight. Frowning, Alice only assumption was the first option.
"The Elders are a bit more tolerant of us, but there is an agreement with our family and the werewolves of their tribe. We do not step on their land and they do not step on ours. Simple as that."

Jayden listened as the pixie looking one, Alice, spoke she used the term us but she doubted that the girl or her sister would include her in that. She knew this girl was looking at the differences between her half breed nature and them as pure breads. The thought of them possibly seeing her as less hurt. Pushing through the hurt she concentrated on the answering of her question.
“I am no threat to them, just as I am no threat to them. I have no thirst for human blood.” Jayden said sternly wanting them to believe she was there for nothing more then introductions not in search of a new hunting ground. “And, though I’ve never met a werewolf, I can assure you I very much doubt I’ll have a thirst for them or their people.” she said trying to calm her voice and the feelings she had inside.
“Then I should know the boundary of their land so as not to upset the balance of the treaty you have with these elders and their tribe.” Jayden said making it clear she didn’t wish to leave and flee the area. There was no way she was going to let Alice and her irate sister push her out. “I wish to stay. I am no threat to anyone’s lives and I don’t want to be a threat to the treaty.”
